I've been avoiding spoilers, but I still decided to check out the starters' Stats and movesets and I was not disappointed with Primarina. I knew all along it would be the best choice. If Ultra Beasts can be caught, then I guess they are just modified Pokémon after all. I really don't know for sure yet, and I'd like to keep it that way. Alolan Dugtrio still looks ridiculous, but its awesome new Ability might just have convinced me to try it after all. I'm buying Moon, so I'll have to get my Alolan Ninetales, Passimian and Turtonator through trading, but it's not a big deal. Also, I was delighted to learn that both versions of Lycanroc can still be caught in both games even though Rockruff only evolves into one form depending on the game. That'll save some time... unless Lycanroc Midday needs some cool egg move to be good. I hope not. The more I know about Z-Moves, the more I love them. I admit that at first I thought that Status moves would turn into attacks as well, but making them have additional effects makes more sense and I think it's a great concept. What's more, Protect and Detect don't work against Z-Moves! ...Or at least not fully. The Pokémon take damage, but is the damage taken reduced somewhat? I think it was left a little vague. I've been meaning to ask this for a month - what's your Ash-Greninja like? Mine's Hardy. I honestly have no idea if they're all supposed to be Hardy or if their Natures are random. I tried to look it up and found nothing. Anyway, I suppose Hardy is not the worst possible Nature I could have gotten. Once I send my Ash-Greninja to Moon, I'll fix its EVs and make it a full special attacker. I think I'll even let it keep Water Shuriken now that it's been made a special attack and boosted with Battle Bond.

I tried to look it up and found nothing. Ash's Greninja is always Hardy Nature, because there's only one of him... even though many people own an Ash-Greninja... Also Hardy is fitting character wise.

Wouldn't Nintendo have put in anti-piracy stuff? Like I remember with BW you apparently couldn't get experience if your copy was pirated. Yeah, probably. But impatient people will still downloading it as there are two versions and so they can download one and buy the other to get all the extras. Nintendo did indeed do something about people who got illegal copies of Sun or Moon and it's further beyond not gaining experience: People who have downloaded pirated copies of Sun and Moon onto their 3DS are being banned from any online services by Nintendo. Yeah, well, what did they fucking expect? I can't feel bad for these people, in fact nobody should, it's their own fault for being this dumb. If only that one person who got Sun/Moon early didn't upload it online for everyone to download. They should have just kept it to themselves.... I wanted to start avoid spoilers on the 18th November, when every other country gets the game before the UK and Europe, not long before that.

PLEASE PUT ALL SUN AND MOON PLOT DETAILS IN THE SPOILER TAGS.
People in Europe (like me) won't get these games until 23rd November and there are even people who do have it that aren't that far into the game yet.

It's going to be hard to look away when it will be plastered on social media and youtube. Because, surely there will be playthroughs and datamines galore.

Yeah I know, but still, for people who are being extra careful, use spoiler tags.

That glitch only happened to people who used PKHeX, a program used to cheat in the game.

So I haven't finished the major plot line yet, but I have done half of it and holy fuck, is this the most shocking, dark and creepy one I've ever seen.
I'm not going to name anybody, but I know one of you said these games didn't seem interesting. Well if you play it I bet you will change your mind.
And not just for the story, but for all the new things they have done for Sun and Moon. People wanted more change in Pokémon and they have got it.
But one thing that bothers me is the player never changes their expression (except in the cut scenes that play by themselves) they're always smiling.
They keep on ruining the mood when something is going down. How can they add something in the previous game and then lose it in the next game?

I assume we can discuss the games without spoiler tags now, right? It's been over two weeks.Oh well, just in case... {Spoiler}Sorry I haven't logged in for a while, but I've just enjoyed playing Moon so much that I haven't done much else. I loved the storyline. Lillie is the best SM girl and possibly my all-time favorite secondary character in a Pokémon game. She was such an adorable little sweetheart that I was sad for real to see her leave. Hau was pretty much the same friendly rival we've had since Gen 3, but I still liked him. I think he was pretty funny. I always curb-stomped him in battle, but I have to give him credit for not letting it bring him down. He's a really good sport. Team Skull was absolutely hilarious. What's more, they really were just a bunch of troublemakers and they didn't have an epic evil plan to blow up the moon or anything. That's good, I'm glad they kept it simple. After all, it's pretty much impossible to top Team Galactic's plan to destroy the entire universe. The Aether Foundation was evil after all, what a shocker. Well, not completely evil. Lusamine was just off her rocker and wanted to live with the Ultra Beasts in Ultra Space for some reason and didn't care what she had to do to get her wish. I kinda agree with Gladion, I hope it was just her desperately reaching out to her missing husband, because if not... Yeah, then she was just nuts. Faba was so much fun to beat again and again, the arrogant douche. I laughed out loud when Hau outsmarted him with his clever question. Boy, that had to be embarrassing. I love that Wicke was good all along, because the Internet gave her so much love that it would have been a real downer if she had been a bitch. The Island Challenge was great fun. The Totem Pokémon were actually pretty tough - Lurantis beat the crap out of me on my first try. It was the first battle I lost in the game. Luckily I'd saved before the battle so I knew what to expect the second time, but that thing was still a monster. Solar Blade + Power Herb + Castform ally's Sunny Day = GG. Anyway, the Trial Captains and the Kahunas were all quite interesting and well-written characters. Not all of them got a lot of screentime, but it was enough. Is it just me, or did any of you pick up on certain subtle hints at Olivia's sexuality? She and everyone who talked about her kept mentioning that she's just a regular woman even though she's a Kahuna, and some people kept wondering why she doesn't have a boyfriend. Also, when I had dinner with her in her hometown's restaurant, she told me that she loves a girl with a good appetite. (I'm playing as a girl.) I bet she doesn't say that if the player is a dude, but still. I was grinning every time someone talked about Olivia, it was simply brilliant. I really didn't know that Cosmog evolves into either Solgaleo or Lunala when I started playing the game, but I'd figured it out by the time it happened in the game. I naturally named my Lunala Nebby. I'm also planning on keeping the Poké Doll Lillie gave me forever. I love Lillie so much. The Pokémon League was a piece of cake. I kept the Exp. Share off for most of the game, but I started using it when I suddenly noticed that the Aether Employees' Pokémon were as strong as mine. Also, I naturally grinded my team a bit before I challenged the League and I'm glad I did. I beat Kukui 6-0. His last Pokémon was Braviary and I wanted to use every one of my Pokémon in the battle, so I sent out my Ribombee even though I was sure she would lose. Guess what happened? She survived Braviary's Brave Bird not just once, but TWICE because she loved me so much. All that time spent on Pokémon Refresh was worth it. My team: Primarina - Level 88 - Quiet - Male - I gave up on getting a female with a good Nature after two goddamn hours. Oh well, he's still awesome. Toucannon - Level 85 - Naive - Male - Skill Link is incredible. I don't think I've ever loved a starter bird this much. Ribombee - Level 85 - Serious - Female - She is my team's weakest member, but I love her anyway. I wasn't planning on training a Ribombee, but here we are. Lycanroc - Level 85 - Jolly - Female - I love my Midnight Lycanroc, but I had no idea what a shallow movepool those things have. So much for training a Midday Lycanroc... Mudsdale - Level 84 - Naughty - Male - A real tank. No physical attacker can beat my Mudsdale no matter what moves they might know. His Stamina is unparalleled. Salazzle - Level 85 - Rash - Female (duh) - I was lucky enough to find a Rash female on my first try and settled for her. I just wish she'd be more durable to pull off her Toxic + Venoshock combo more often. I didn't give my team any nicknames this time, because I'm frankly fresh out of ideas. I've given my Pokémon just about every English name imaginable for the last eighteen years and I even named my Y team after my Finnish friends and relatives. Anyway, it's not a big deal. I could have leveled up my team to 100 by now if I'd wanted to, but I've spent a lot of time catching and breeding Pokémon for future use as well. I'm planning on using 36 Pokémon in this game and I already have 24. I'm being somewhat less picky with my breeding just because I intend to Hyper Train my Pokémon later. I just wish those damn Bottle Caps were easier to get. Ash's Greninja is always Hardy Nature, because there's only one of him... even though many people own an Ash-Greninja... Also Hardy is fitting character wise. Thanks for that, Don. I believed you and that's why I forgot to check my Ash-Greninja's Nature before saving the game after I'd sent him over from the demo. Now he's Sassy. But seriously, it's not all your fault. I don't think you even knew that Ash-Greninja might change its Nature... right?

That sentence is literally programmed for both genders, you're not special.

The stuff about Olivia isn't exactly about her sexuality. It's actually more about her fitting into the "Christmas Cake" type of character. The woman who's getting on in years but is still single. That's why everyone mentions how she's still single, how if you observe some of the dolls she has you get a description that says they're popular among single women, how in some concept art of Olivia she's tugging on Mallow's pigtails for calling her ma'am instead of the younger sounding miss, etc.
