So is that the theme song? ....Eh, it sounds too force in the 'coolness' aspect, also there was this high-pitched "Gotta catch 'em all!" which I find annoying.
Also they can never beat Rica Matsumoto. *Sigh* TPCI's intros will never be attention-grabbing to me, 4kids did it better (especially with Pokémon Johto).

So I just saw the new dub opening.
What I liked about it: TPCI picked out some good scenes from the original intro.
What I didn't like: The song is just boring and it's trying too hard to sound cool.
Then again, what's the point of an attention-grabbing song when it's only 30 seconds long?
I wouldn't understand anyone who says it's better than the original intro, even if you didn't like the Japanese song.

I wouldn't understand anyone who says it's better than the original intro, even if you didn't like the Japanese song. I must be the biggest enigma you've ever met. My grounds for liking this intro better than the original Japanese one is that this one wasn't so obnoxiously loud and so in-my-face that I could sue it for assault and battery. That said, this new opening had the right idea calming the fuck down, but it drank about an ounce of Quaaludes too much, so to speak. It could've afforded to be a bit more energetic. Which is why I think it wasn't good enough to be my new #1 dub opening (in fact, I don't think it'd make it into my top 10). As far as XY dub openings go, "Be A Hero" is still the best one. It's weird, though; the original XYZ opening had me going "oh my God, shut up, shut up, SHUTUPSHUTUPSHUTUP!!", but the dub opening had me sayin g this.
Anyway, the guide for the premiere will come once I find the episode. Guide is up.

But when comparing the singers; Rica Matsumoto is a way better singer (even when singing as Satoshi) than... whoever sung this dub intro.
And Rica's song is catchy (by the way the full version is even better, there's a part were it slows down for a while) will this guy's song, is not.
TPCI songs have always been lacking energy and I doubt a full version of this song, which may play in the next movie, will make a difference.

Yeah, I already saw that post on the Bulbgarden forums this morning (UK time) and I waited for you to see it and post it here.
Lisa Ortiz is known for giving every human-speaking girl the same voice, I am curious to know how she'll do as a voice director.
...Okay, I'm just messing, while what I said is true, Lisa is willing to alter her voice for other types of characters (e.g; Oshawott).
