Looks like Nagisa will be known as Sandy in the west. Which ends with a "y" as I assumed it would. CALLED IT!

Ryu was right on the money about that one. Kudos.

Dub Hapu sounds a lot like Georgia! That attitude certainly helps with the comparison...

So that's how they want us to say "Vikavolt"! (Vike-a-volt)

From now on, I'm only coming back here when a truly special episode like "Memories in the Mist!" happens. That said...
I remember having this to say when this one aired in Japan: "[Masafumi] Mima has been rather cocky about his work on this episode a few times leading up to the airdate, so I decided to take his implicit challenge, expecting a disaster on the level of his work on SM021 and M21 (the latter of which also had S. Miyazaki accomplicing).
Even though I'm fully confident the dub will fix it like they did SM021 (but unfortunately left M21 musically demolished and meaningless), I'm glad to say this episode wasn't such a fuckup. True I didn't cry like Mima was so confident I would, but I'm also not upset. If anything, my reaction to this episode in its current state is 'eh, all right. Now time to wait for TPCi's turn.' And frankly, that's the highest honor the JP version can get from me, so I hope that's acceptable."
I still hold to that: the JP version of this episode is a nice experience. I never expected a JP episode to earn such praise from me.
The dub's version, though? Well, it's a masterpiece, easily the best job Mr. Goldfarb's done on anything that isn't M20. He put his piano skills to marvelous use here, especially for when Mallow saw her mom again. And it was great hearing Stoutland's theme return for when he himself did. All in all, it made for a TV episode dub score that'll be incredibly difficult to top.
Oh, and the performances from everyone were marvelous and emotional. Rebecca Soler did the best out of all of them, which does make sense since Mallow's meeting with her late mom is basically the focal point of the episode.
Of all of SM's defining emotional moments, this one's the best by far.

Doesn't look like anyone been in here in a while, well I saw the recent and I really enjoyed it to be honest here. When Ash gave little Kuki that nickname of Rory, Heatwave from the Flash instantly popped into my head lol.
I think I might do a guide for this one, since it has been a while for one.

Sophocles called Zap Cannon "Thunder Wave" in the episode "The Battlefield of Truth and Love"... I thought we were past this charade...
