It already aired on CITV in the UK. To whoever is doing the guide, do it from that one as Cartoon Network will be cutting out some sce- ...actually, fuck that, watch it in Japanese or else you'll miss out on some great music. God fucking dammit TPCI, I will never get over it. WPM also hates that "music matching with the movement of the scene" thing TPCI does. Who doesn't? It's just so cheesy and childish.

God fucking dammit TPCI, I will never get over it. WPM also hates that "music matching with the movement of the scene" thing TPCI does. Who doesn't? It's just so cheesy and childish. I gotta admit, even though I'm not part of the "music replaced! Dub ruined forever!!11!1!!" crowd, it's refreshing to see testimony from someone experienced in film music as opposed to a top-of-the-lungs tantrum from some raving purist (neither of these remarks are directed at you, Don; as far as purists go, you're one of the most reasonable ones I know). As I haven't yet seen the movie (in either language, though I don't want to see the Japanese one), I can't weigh in on this yet. Though I can say that Ed Goldfarb always was better working on the show than he is for the movies. At least John Loeffler and Ralph Shuckett understood those musical rules the article mentioned. Though one part of the article I'd have to take issue with is the part that says: "Heck, in a lot of films, you only know the bad guy is the bad guy at first because the music is sinister!". Eh, I'm not too keen on when films give their villain away too soon, if it's meant to be a twist. It'd end up like this awkward situation (2:35 to 2:43). I'd be happy to do a guide for the film, being as I'm unironic in my favor of the dub. But I'll have to wait for a DVD of it to come out.

"Hoopa and the Clash of Ages" aired earlier tonight in the USA. I'll do the guide on it, but I'll have to wait until a DVD release so as not to miss anything.

Tch, I'm the one who is usually meant to post that kind of stuff.... Hey, when I get into something I get way too invested into doing it right.
Anyway, uh, TPCI mixing up Rentorar's and Luxray's voices made it sound like someone was banging on something as Luxray beat-boxed.
Yeah, that's the reason why it bothered me, as that might have been their intention when there's supposed to be no instruments playing.

Yeah, that's the reason why it bothered me, as that might have been their intention when there's supposed to be no instruments playing. Don't worry about coming in second place to this info; I also managed to beat the entirety of the Bulbagarden forums to this, too (as you might have seen there, I was the one who started the review thread about it). Although the fact that I lurk around on Twitter helped. In fact, that was where I found out about that short's dub. And when I did, I felt a special kind of catharsis considering that so many people (including Dogasu; I love it whenever he's wrong about anything) thought this would be skipped. But I'm not going to make a public "I told you so" spectacle about it. I actually didn't notice that Luxray had two voices. They sounded alike to me. I could be wrong, but I think I heard a bit of Braixen's Japanese voice.

Yeah, but despite a few flaws, the dub version of this short is way better than the dub of the Hoopa movie. There was no background music for TPCI to replace.
Also TPCI could never change the song that all of the Pokémon were singing, not only because of Pokémon like Pikachu and Dedenne, who keep their Japanese voices, but also because all of the movements of the Pokémon, the movements of their mouths, even the swaying of the tress, they're all meant for Gao Gao All Stars only. Because of that I was expecting TPCI to do with Gao Gao All Stars what 4Kids did with Polka o Dolka; keep the theme, but give it a different title and lyrics (with 4kids, Polka o Dolka became Gotta Dance) but TPCI created a song with a completely different beat to what the Pokémon sing for this Pikachu short.

Apparently, the dub of XY&Z will begin airing on February 20, 2016 (coincidentally the same day Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon comes out in Australia and New Zealand). So far, only Serebii has said this, so I'm waiting for further confirmation.

Okay, so I deleted several posts regarding the possible first title for XYZ, because it turns out it's under dispute.
In fact I can't find it on the official website, so for now it's gone. But once I see confirmation, I will repost it here.

According to this (link in the OP), Theresa Buchheister will be being replaced as Voice Director. Her run was too short, if you ask me. And I hope they're not bringing Tom Wayland back.

Exactly what has different in the voice direction when she was handling it? Because, I haven't notice anything.
Unlike the music handling. But I guess that is mainly because I don't watch the dub in full so I wouldn't notice.

Still no word about who the new dub VD will be. But on Bulbagarden, it was found out that Tom Wayland doesn't work for TPCi anymore (gee, I wonder why???), so at least it won't be him.
