Actually, for that matter. The original Pokémopolis was about Sexual Innuendos and jokes at the character's expense. If there were any substance abuse jokes, they were few and far between.

The full trailer for The Power of Us.
Last year's trailer had notes from its ending song, so that chord at the very end of this one might be from this one's ending song, and it sounds great. Not that it'll be even remotely hard to beat "Breath," though; my God is that song terrible.

By my pal TheWorldofKevinC Personally, I fully support this scene's toning-down. I'd like literal fetishes to stay in adult entertainment where it belongs. It's more respectful to women that way. Also, Tsareena's got a great dub voice. Unlike her JP self which sounds more egregiously like a whore (really ashamed that I had to bust this word out...) than Rouge the Bat's 4kids voice (and that's saying A LOT; I actually threw up in my mouth when I first heard that atrocious voice. Other JP voices I'd ragged on were annoying-as-fuck but ethically inoffensive, much as I hate to admit it; JP Tsareena, though, offends me on an ethical and human level. Such objectification...), her dub self sounds like a proper lady in a leadership role.
Oh, and nothing else was censored (meaning Passimian makes its first appearance in the dub). The heel digging was the only thing, and good riddance to it.

I'm a simple guy. I see nit-picking, I cringe. I don't have any problems with Mallow's Tsareena or the dub toning things done a bit.(Which they've done a lot with Sun and Moon, like holy cow!) Just hearing people fuss over the smallest things makes eyes roll something fierce!

Except that there wasn't a single comment by a female viewer saying that scene offended them.
Also there's a failure in the edit, you can still hear the sound effect from Tsareena moving her leg.

A Battle Hand-Off!
The only problem I have with Pikachu learning Electroweb has to do with the show's insistence on adhering to the 4-move limit. Electro Ball is a great move for Pikachu. But even if it wasn't, the 4-move limit is nothing more than gameplay difficulty control; it has no place in the show. Other than that, nothing's wrong, as the Pikachu line can learn that move legitimately. And hey, it helped Pikachu finally defeat Mimikyu. Dogasu's just butthurt his precious TR lost.
Although it was a logical choice to have the Totem Battle theme play during part of Pikachu's battle with Mimikyu, the lackluster quality of Miyazaki's remix of it keeps me from being happy it's there. Same goes for the regular Alola Trainer battle theme being over Pikachu's new move. That one remix of the Motto theme that played over Mimikyu's Z-Move was all right, I guess. The dub music was good, too, though it paled in comparison to last week's dub music.
This was a neat episode. The main event is to come, though.

Who's Dogasu and why are they upset all the time?

Who's Dogasu and why are they upset all the time? Dogasu is a dub hater of such a degree that he's a living stereotype of weeaboos. He's the reason I ended up becoming a JP version hater, because he overhyped the fucking thing so much that it never had a chance of living up to his promises. He's mainly known for his site Dogasu's Backpack, which is another dime-a-dozen JP cartoon sub/dub comparison site full of weeaboo platitudes, bitching, and so on. Where my personal vendetta against him comes from is the fact that he acts like people are fools to like the dub, acts like they shouldn't be dub fans, hates anyone who likes how Team Rocket was during most of BW (because I guess he hates it when they actually have a point in the show and actual character to them), pressures people into boycotting dub stuff if they don't have the original JP "music" (he most recently did this to M20's and SM's dub, telling people not to buy tickets or videos of the former and not to watch the latter on Disney XD), and spreading slanderous lies about 4kids and TPCi. Whenever he's confronted on any of this, he pulls out the "I'm not actually like that" platitude and people actually fall for that bullshit. Oh, and he literally called my own dub devotion "nonsense" in a Twitter DM to a friend of his.

Seems like you two have more in common than you'd think. (Constantly praisimg one dub and be unforgiving to the other. Be weirdly concerned about the anime's soundtrack. Getting all defensive when someone argues with you.) The only differences I see is the version you guys are rooting for. Ryu= Eng Dogasu=Jp.

And Tsareena's habit of stepping on those she defeats is the type of scenario Pokemopolis was made for, as it's rife for a sexual innuendo joke.

However, there's a key difference between us you missed: unlike him, I didn't originate stigma against fans of the version I hate, against the company producing the version I hate, nor against the wretched thing itself. He did all of that, and it's because of him that no one lets dub fans be dub fans without a fight. And let me tell you, after seeing what utter shit the JP version is, fighting back against the bile directed toward dub fans has been worth every moment. Actually, for that matter. Speaking of Tsareena, a certain angle of her shown during her evolution ought to be the forum's new banner image (and is currently the icon image of the Pokemopolis server).

Calling the JP dub sh*t sure is helping your "no stigma" case, isn't it Ryu "Irony" Taylor. You can't act like your the better man if you still good out of your way to be antagonistic to something in a manner similar to the person you're against. If you really want to rise above that person's behavior, you should what you like and avoid arguing about it with someone who perposely being short-sighted. It's been my go-to method in these recent times.

If you really want to rise above that person's behavior, you should what you like and avoid arguing about it with someone who's purposely being short-sighted. It's been my go-to method in these recent times. "unlike him, I didn't originate stigma against fans of the version I hate, against the company producing the version I hate, nor against the wretched thing itself. I guess I have to be condescendingly clear about what I mean by this...
I didn't ORIGINATE (dictionary definition: to begin) the stigma (def.: a mark of disgrace) against fans of the version I hate (fans of the JP version/sub purists/weeaboos); stigma against them have existed for years, and if Dogasu wasn't a living embodiment of them, I'd gladly say he doesn't deserve to be labeled as being as bad as the rest of them. On the other hand, he and others like him started the stigma that dub fans are uninformed morons who believe 4kids "lies", like "shitty" music, and whatever other nonsense they like to spout against dub fans, and that they need to see the "true", "PERFECT" version in order to truly be fans of the franchise. They made the mistake of tossing that nonsense at me, and they lost; I'm still a dub fan and proud of it. They're just butthurt and don't want to admit defeat, plain and simple.
And for the nth time, I have every right to call the JP version any insult that comes to mind.

Hey Ryu, can you please explain the logic behind being happy when the Japanese version of the Pokémon anime is on a break?
As in like acting like you're being forced to watch it (which you aren't) or it's affecting what you want to watch (which it's not).
Do you hate it when people are talking about the episode that just aired in Japan or something? Whether positive or negative?

You can't seem to understand the ages old philosophy of "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all." You're entitled to your opinion and you can say what you want. However, if you say something mean or controversial, it will only attract other mean and controversial words.(Some of which may be directed towards you.) Wouldn't it be simpler to keep to unsavory details to yourself so people don't snap at you for every letter you type. I don't want to argue, Ryu. I really don't. I have DOZENS of better things to do.
