A MASS BREAKOUT OF THE MYSTERIOUS POKÉMON SENDS THE POKÉMON SCHOOL INTO MASS PANIC!!
After the mysterious Pokémon's initial appearance at the Rocket Gang base, they come to the Pokémon School as well! Satoshi and the others are startled by this outbreak as well, but after they calm down, they appear to take an interest in this unknown Pokémon. An examination is immediately launched!

AN EMERGENCY EXAMINATION OF THE MYSTERIOUS POKÉMON!
If this is a new species of Pokémon, that'd be an amazing discovery! As the group tried investigating it, they learned various facts about this Pokémon.

Examination 1: It eats metal
It eats different things than normal Pokémon! Believe it or not, it actually seems to love metal.
Kojiro gets a huge shock!
The mysterious Pokémon went after his beloved bottle cap collection that he had worked on so laboriously...

This may be the first movie that I actually skip especially if it's just a remake of the first movie. What I liked about movie 20, was that they told a completely different side of Ash's journey, and actually gave Ho'oh a bigger role than the Anime did What I liked about movie 21, was that it wasn't just a retelling of the second movie but a completely different story. I will at least pay attention to further previews of the movie, to see whether they would actually change the story up but with Brock and Misty in this one, I doubt there will be anything major.

CG's really primitive, music sucks a fat one, and really the whole idea of taking the Gus Van Sant approach to remaking The First Movie just kills the entire thing.

I know neither movie is out yet, but Detective Pikachu is the clear winner here.

So it's possible this movie was made for the Western Audience as it's premiering in the 20th Anniversary for the dub of the Pokémon anime.

Plus there's the official English Pokémon Twitter already retweeting announcements of this movie from the official Japanese Pokémon Twitter.

They have never done that with previous Pokémon movies. Does this mean the dub of this movie will première near the same day as Japan?

Summary:
According to Professor Okido, the mysterious creature was actually an entirely new species of Pokémon?! And its name is Meltan! One of the Meltan has become very attached to Mokuroh and comes along to the Pokémon School... where trouble breaks out! Its nut head gets stolen?! The students try replacing it with a swim ring and a tambourine, but it doesn't really work... so Meltan decides to search for the nut with Mokuroh. But during their search, they run into the Rocket Gang?! And they're after Meltan, so...

However, having watched this announcement on TV, the Skull Gang's boss Guzma comes marching into the Pokémon School. It appears there's some sort of connection between Guzma and Professor Kukui.

Summary:
Satoshi and the others have come to a TV station to cheer for Māmane, who's going to be on a TV show. This also allows them to get to see the filming of a TV serial starring the genius child actor Koiking Koi-chan. However, Koi-chan doesn't seem to be in very good shape today... Just what has happened to it?! In addition, trouble breaks out when the actresses in a different TV serial doesn't show up for the filming! And the ones they end up picking as replaces are, incredibly enough, Lilie, Mao and Suiren?!
Also, Hyadain and Rinka-chan from "Pokémon no Uchi Atsumaru?" attempt voice acting!

Just going to post videos of the Pretty Cure/PreCure parody (it's a Magical Girl anime that is not well known in the West):

It bothers me that Bulbapedia says this was a reference to Magical Girl franchises as a whole, when no, it is only PreCure.
