So the voice Suiren's Osyamari has makes me love and appreciate the voice it had as an Ashimari even more, along with loving the former. It goes from having this goofy, ar-wooing, voice, to a beautiful and operatic one, reflecting the funny clown turning into an elegant ballerina. The operatic voice Risa Shimizu gives to Suiren's Osyamari is more powerful than the one Chinami Nishimura gives to Ia's Ashirene. And because of this, when Suiren's Osyamari eventually evolves into Ashirene, I expected it to be an amazingly fantastic opera singer. |

Oy... The Meltan episode title really gets my hopes up, but it's Mythical and Nebby and Poipole really damaged my hopes for super rare Pokémon staying for more than a couple episodes... Poipole just left in the West and the wounds are still fresh!

Seeing the normally joyful Mao suddenly become depressed was heart-breaking to watch. There is this build up music when Nyaheat is running and yelling into the fog and when a certain figure appears, everything goes silent and that flows into the first half of the "Who is it?" eye catch and when I say it's silent, I mean everything is silent. Only the second half is done normally. |

Mima has been rather cocky about his work on SM108 a few times leading up to the airdate, so I decided to take his implicit challenge, expecting a disaster on the level of his work on SM021 and M21 (the latter of which also had S. Miyazaki accomplicing).
Even though I'm fully confident the dub will fix it like they did SM021 (but unfortunately left M21 musically demolished and meaningless), I'm glad to say this episode wasn't such a fuckup. True I didn't cry like Mima was so confident I would, but I'm also not upset. If anything, my reaction to this episode in its current state is "eh, all right. Now time to wait for TPCi's turn." And frankly, that's the highest honor the JP version can get from me, so I hope that's acceptable.

Just watched it subtitled and knowing what's being said regarding what happened between Mao and her mother made it even sadder.
I need to give praise to Reina Ueda's performance as Mao, I mean that's genuine crying I could hear from her voice acting right there.

But I wasn't getting my hopes up too much. I didn't even get excited at the chance of Satoshi catching Meltan when SM112's title was revealed. |

I know, but I figured that there might be others who would be hyped because of the possibility of Ash getting Meltan. |
