Basically... How awesome was that!!!? Loved this series, it's inspired me to push harder in day to day life which must be one of the hallmarks of a good TV show.
Brilliant characters, strong storylines, epic moments. 10/10 : )

Apparently the 'maidens' thing was a mistranslation. {Spoiler} The whole episode is about how one guy was trying to kill Yveltal so he could get married to his childhood friend, she got turned to a rock while trying to save him, Yveltal kills off the region to turn into a cocoon, the guy heads off to 'Rome' to find Xerneas only to find that it was turned into a tree and things were bad, the 'Romans' were going to set Xerneas on fire, Zygarde shows up and blasts everyone, Xerneas leaves, the guy tries to make life grow in the dead lands, that makes Xerneas finally return to help, but by then his childhood friend couldn't be saved anymore. So he simply stayed by her side as long as possible.
Wow this episode was really DARK.

Full summary and voice cast for the second XY&Z special and the REAL final episode of the Pocket Monsters XY & Z series as a whole- Wait, there wasn't an announcement of a special for Serena? Weird, and kind of disappointing. They gave Brock and Dawn specials after DP, and Cilan and Iris specials after BW. After hearing about a special where Clemont would meet Cilan, I was hoping for one where Serena meets Iris. Last we saw of her, Iris was following where Rayquaza, a gen III Pokemon, was heading, and Serena's heading to Hoenn, so I'd buy them also meeting up with each other. Plus given Iris' fear of ice types due to them being strong against dragon types, I would've been interested to see how she'd react after being introduced to the new fairy type through Serena's Sylveon.

Full summary and voice cast for episodes one and two of Pocket Monsters Sun & Moon- XY&Z SP2 screenshots: filb.de/anime/xyz/SP2 and a new trailer for the Sun & Moon anime: www.youtube.com/watch?v=M3T54SnTvNYPlease ignore the title on that video, it is wrong as the trailer is clearly showing scenes from all the SM episodes that have gotten their titles revealed. You hear more of the first intro, "Alola!" in the trailer and I just love how it starts of all relaxed and then gets exciting, perfect for the sunny Alola Region.

It's good to know that there will still be fierce battles and new Pokémon for Ash... Not that I ever doubted it.

Full summary and voice cast for SM003 and SM004- SM001 & SM002 screenshots: filb.de/anime/sm/001 filb.de/anime/sm/002 and SM003 & SM004 preview: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Puy-weQLLH0I love it already, after the serious XY&Z, we needed something this fun, plus the opening and ending are joyful in both song and visuals. A great way to start. The animation is incredibly fluid, smooth and especially amazing during action scenes. Anyone who bad mouthed it before seeing it in full; I hope they regret it.

I'm glad I had the chance to watch it. I like the balance they have on Ash's character. He has that goofy demeanor, but when the chips are down Ash will deliver. Did you see the Z-move Gigavolt havoc? That attack was so powerful, that it left destruction where Topu Koko stood and would have hurt it had it not have shielded itself from it. It also shattered the Z Crystal upon impact.

Yes I agree, it was portrayed very well. Sun & Moon has a very strong start.
I loved how they got so much done in two episodes and nothing felt rushed.
I mean we met the main cast and the Skull Gang already in the first episode.

Ready to be surprised, everyone?
I liked the new episodes.
Bewear and Mr. Mime were the only annoying voices, and the Tapu Koko chase scene was the only scene with unfitting music. Only two setbacks versus many other things it did right. Every single other piece of music was used well and all the other performances were great. As for the animation, it's no "Avatar - the Last Airbender" or "The Legend of Korra", but it looks nearly as nice.
Though I'll still prefer these episodes' dubbed selves when they air, these ones are very good even in Japanese. Already, it's shaping up to be the relief I needed after the disaster-of-proportions-that-shouldn't-be-humanly-possible that was the JP XY(Z) saga. I'll still be sticking to watching only important episodes in Japanese, though. Don't want these high spirits of mine to be crushed once again.

Wonder how hard it's going to be for the dub to translate Samson's puns. Especially when he mimics Pokemon, meaning they'd have to make a pun out of the same Pokemon or at least one that resembles what Samson is imitating.

Full summary and voice cast for SM005- SM003 & SM004 screenshots: filb.de/anime/sm/003 filb.de/anime/sm/004 SM005 preview: filb.de/news/pocket-monsters-sun--moon-folge-3-und-4-2807Musashi catches a Mimikyu using a Gorgeous Ball that originally belong to Kojiro and Satoshi catches a Mokuroh and it's the most adorable thing ever.
So Dephender (who we know here as Adamant) mentions this over on the Serebii forums- It's not just this, but also Nariya Ōkido's constant Pokémon puns. TPCI only translated the ones they could for Samson Oak, but left out the ones they couldn't.

Interesting. Mimikyu looked like the kind of Pokemon James would catch. A little cute one like Chimecho, Mime Jr., Yamask, and Inkay. I supposed then the most likely Pokemon he'll get to catch is Bewear, which given its nature would fit in with the Pokemon that attack him like Victreebel, Cacnea, and Carnivine.
