New previews for Pokémon Sun & Moon: www.youtube.com/watch?v=w6B-n0al77cwww.youtube.com/watch?v=vCVWBQP7JCQAlso we got a name for the first opening theme: "Alola!!" by Satoshi (Rica Matsumoto) w/ Pikachu (Ikue Ohtani)Already love what I have heard from that song so far, after the action sounding intro that was XY&Z, the anime needed a bright and sunny opening like this.
If you found Gekkouga's departure to be emotional, Rica Matsumoto makes it even more so (you all should be applauding Rica for being able to pull this off)- Losing a beloved pet is one of the hardest things to go through, but Rica did not let it effect her performance, she instead put all of her feelings into Satoshi. And it shows too, I mean Rica always does great with Satoshi when acting out upsetting scenes, but here you could actually feel the heart break even more.

Already love what I have heard from that song so far, after the action sounding intro that was XY&Z, the anime needed a bright and sunny opening like this. I agree, though my phrasing would be "after the near-fatal disaster that was 'XY&Z', the cartoon needed an actually good opening like this." On that note, yes, I like how "Alola!" sounds. Reason being that it's not obnoxiously loud. Yes, it's loud, but it's the enjoyable and energetic kind of loud. Is it bad to say that I'm a bit surprised she knows what Heaven is? Of course, that's likely my complete lack of knowledge of Buddhism/Shintoism/whatever religion hers is talking. Anyway, yes, Rica did great in that part. Yuji Ueda's the one who ruined it. Seriously, how can he be so good at voicing human characters, but so bad at voicing the Pokemon themselves?? And let's not forget the use of AZ's Theme over that scene. It wasn't a bad fit, but Masafumi Mima should've chosen better. So, I'm blaming my lack of any emotion for the Greninja departure scene on Yuji, not on Ms. Matsumoto or Masafumi. In fact, I actually pity her for this. A heartfelt performance overshadowed by such overwhelming lack of talent from two others working on the same project as her. It's like she's in a college group project, and she's the only one doing the most important work while her fellow group members dick around and leech off her for a semi-acceptable class grade. Damn it all. And before anyone asks, I saw this episode in Japanese only because I've decided that from this point on, the only P episodes I'll see are important ones.

Heaven is not something the Japanese don't know, so if you want to take it as 'passed on' without any religious context, you can. It's just that it's probably more like the Greco-Roman 'Heaven' as in somewhere beyond the nature of humans that is good [like Mount Olympus or the sky].
I'm not going to bother arguing with you otherwise.

This saga sure has been an interesting one. It was the one I began watching the JP version of and ended up gaining all my reasons to hate it and love the dub. It taught me what the JP version really is: a mess of terrible acting, music that ranges from very good to ear death, misuse of music (the good stuff and the bad stuff), hammy over-deliveries, bland writing, and annoying voices. And I certainly learned why I shouldn't have listened to testimony that it was awesome and that I should abandon the dub in favor of it.
By the way, I find it funny that at first, people wanted me to watch it in Japanese only. But now that everyone knows I fucking hate it, they're suddenly begging me to quit watching it. Could it be acknowledgement that the dub has an audience, an acknowledgement that I do have the right to enjoy it after all, or could it be resistance to the idea that someone could hate the so-called "masterpiece" that is the JP version, therefore causing them to want to shut its loudest critic up?
Needless to say, I'll be more receptive to the final XYZ episode once its dub airs. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be in Japanese, but it still was no good at all. I'm just happy this JP saga is finally over.

Serena may be leaving, but at least they threw us Amourshippers a bone with the latest episode.

I don't care what you say, Ryu, XY&Z was a masterpiece and I'm sad it's over. I also agree with the people who asked you to quit watching it since all you managed to do by doing so was make others and yourself feel bad if you truly didn't enjoy it. Seriously, you've become so obnoxious that I can't believe you're the same person who first joined these forums.
The last episode was everything I hoped it would be. In fact, it was the best series finale I've ever seen. Those flashbacks during the end song made me feel things. Team Rocket amused Giovanni, who totally didn't fall for their fake video, but apparently didn't feel like giving them a hard time about it either and asked them to return to Kanto. I really, really hope they'll get to keep Gourgeist and Inkay. I feel like Jessie and James actually bonded with those two unlike their Unovan Pokémon. The twerps had a hearty farewell and Serena finally 'fessed up, not that anything came out of it except a confused look from Ash and the shippers over the world squeeing in unison. Still, I'm glad it happened. I will definitely miss Serena and Greninja and I hope Ash will see them again some day. Clemont and Bonnie were great too. They all acted like genuine friends and always helped each other out without question. I feel sorry for Bonnie, because just like everyone else in the entire show, she will never age and therefore she will never become a Trainer, so I hope she will have a happy eternity living with Clemont and Dedenne. I wish Serena and Clemont happiness too, because they have earned it. Thanks for everything, guys. 10/10 for the whole series.

I wanted to wait until the final episode aired in the English Dub to post this but I figured why not now, well I have to say that XY&Z was pretty much one of the best season of Pokémon. I mean Kalos was by far the best thing to have happened to him, I mean his skill level, competence, and even maturity was great which does show where he should be after all of these years now.
Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie; I am truly going to miss them a whole lot, this group really did feel like a family to me. Ash was the dad, Serena was the mom, Bonnie was the little kid, and Clemont was like the funny uncle.
This was also the first time that even watched the show in Japanese, so I have to say the experience was alright. I still prefer the English Dub since I like to watch it in my native langue.
There is so much I want to say, especially to you Don on some of your past comments, because some of them did come off a bit hypocritical, condescending, and self-righteous but maybe I'll save that for another day. I will say this though, I really can't see how everyone complimenting Ash was considered worship? I mean look at Gary and his cheerleaders from season one, or that time back in Advanced Challenge when all of those Norman fans were treating May and Max like stars just because they were Norman's kids, and that Nurse Joy from the episode "Over Joyed" when she fangirled over May AND Ash; THOSE are worshipping and plus Ash didn't even let go to his head either. looking back at how he was treated in BW it was pretty refreshing to see him not getting treated like he was some kind of rookie, and who knows maybe Sun and Moon will balanced it out. For the record there were a few posts I do agree with you on though. For the record I'm not trying to start a fight with you or anything I just wanted to get that off of my chest, that's all.
As for the Kiss, *clap* *clap* *clap* that took some serious Ultra Balls, to do that and I for one couldn't anymore proud, and it was pretty clear that Serena kissed Ash on the lips. The show had no problems showing cheek kisses, otherwise they would have shown it if was on the cheek, but that full on lip lock. I wish Brock was there to see, his reaction would have been completely priceless XD
I'm pretty much ready to call it quits with the show after a good ending like that, but I started with the dub so I'm going to end with the dub. I guess I'll be sticking around a little longer to check out Sun and Moon, and if I like what I see then I'll stick around for a few more years, if not then oh well. To be honest I feel like this was a true ending to the Anime for me and I'm okay with that when everything is said and done.
That's all I have to say for now.

Pocket Monsters XY & Z isn't over yet you lot, there will be two specials, it's just Satoshi and his friends adventures in Kalos are over. Also Ryu, just stop, I have removed a certain part of your post because I have had enough. No more gloating on the stuff you dislike. If you want to give out your opinions, whether negative or positive, do it in a civilized manner, don't deliberately try to trigger others. If you do the complete opposite I WILL be giving you a warning. One rule of this thread from the FAQ page is DON'T BE AN ASSHOLE.

Thanks, I wasn't really doing my job as a Moderator due to the lack of activity here. Now that there are more people, I will be more committed to it.
Anyway, back on top topic. The specials are probably not going to be dubbed due to both the Diamond and Pearl and Best Wishes ones not being so.
Dub watchers never saw when Dawn's Cyndaquil evolved. TPCI does dub specials, but apparently not specials that follow after Ash's adventure is over.

Plus since the English dub is behind compared to the Japanese dub, they probably don't want to delay airing the dub of Sun and Moon any longer than they have to, so no specials means starting 2 weeks earlier than they would've had to.

You know XY(&Z) was good and all, but I was disappointed at the lack of continuity. I mean where the fuck was the re-appearance of previous travelling par- XY&Z Special 2 - The Ultimate Duo! Citron and Dent!! .....Oh.....Oh.....OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH!!!! YES! They're doing it, they are going to have the two male travelling companions of Satoshi's who are both into science interact. It's actually going to happen. Ever since Citron was revealed to be travelling with Satoshi, I always wanted him to meet Dent due to Dent being a Science Sommelier (amongst other roles). Heck, even if they weren't into the same thing, I would still be happy about this anyway as Dent and Citron are my favourites of Satoshi's male travel partners. By the way, I'm not saying XY(&Z) didn't have continuity, what I mean is it was small compared to previous Pokémon anime series. However this added up to it.
