Not really, but I also don't believe the complaints, either. I'd have to see it myself. REMEMBER: You have to know the lyrics of the song, don't just pay attention to how it sounds, because the words are why it worked for that scene.

I skipped to the Acrobatics scene. And I gotta say, "Brilliantly" is still not my ideal music choice for action scenes, but it worked better this time.

The latest episode was brilliant. Serena won a battle against her greatest rival and got her first fully evolved Mon at the same time. Unsurprisingly, XY once again did something BW never could and pulled off a mid-battle evolution without making it look like an asspull. It wasn't even the first time they'd done that. I love this series so much. I'm sure the shippers both loved and hated the episode. I don't really mind shippers, but bitching about the episode giving you blue balls (like there was ever going to be an alternative) to the writer is not cool. So, we learned some things, got to see everyone clean up nicely and Serena finally had a real victory. I'd say 10/10 episode, I might watch it dubbed as well. All the guys' reactions were my favorite parts.

New title with a summary and a blurb for it and previous episodes; XY&Z017: Thunder and Onvern! A Furious Strike of Lightning!!So XY&Z017 is were Satoshi's Onbat evolves? Or is it an episode before it? But yeah, the wyvern will be battling Thunder and hopefully it will be awesome.

I forgot to say this about the Dance Party episode:
Who was Sylveon's VA? I'm hoping it was Shoko Nakagawa, since she needed a good lead role performance since she totally blew it the first time she got a lead role. Granted, her first lead role was in the Keldeo movie (as Keldeo himself, no less) and this is an episode, but still, whoever was Sylveon nailed it.

I am very excited to see a shiny Hakuryu in the anime, also I like the design of Amelia and with Eifie as well, she seems to like the colour purple. I forgot to say this about the Dance Party episode: Who was Sylveon's VA? It's not Shokotan as she voiced the Nymphia in the Pikachu short, the original never uses the same voice actor and actress for the same species of Pokémon. A smart move, the dubs don't know why (they only do it when there's a difference). Serena's Nymphia is voiced by Mika Kanai, same as when she was Eievui.

The new episode was pretty much exactly like I expected. Sawyer was still no match for Ash and Alain and his Mega Charizard Hax were as unbeatable as ever. Oh well, when two OP Pokémon face off against each other, one of them is bound to lose and end its winning streak. Better luck next time, Ash, and I really mean it. If Alain is truly stupid enough to side with Team Flare in the upcoming war, Ash and Greninja are the only ones who can stop him.
I'm definitely looking forward to the next episode, but the other ones don't sound quite so interesting. Amelia looks like a dull OC to me and even though Zapdos versus Noivern sounds awesome in theory, I doubt I'll be able to enjoy it because there is no way Ash's Noibat should evolve already. That thing has only won one battle, and that was against Team Rocket!

Ugh, I want to like Shouta as a rival, I really do, but, for fucks sake, the writers are really portraying him as the worst rival Satoshi has in terms of his battles and strength, he has lots of badges and yet every time you see him battle Satoshi you're asking yourself "How did he win those badges if Satoshi keeps kicking his ass?" Shouta should be equal to Satoshi in strength by now, but no. I mean I don't hate Shouta, because as a character Shouta is good, there's nothing to dislike about him, he's just a nice kid. But as a rival? The only Pokémon of Shouta's who puts up a decent battle every time is his starter Pokémon, meanwhile the rest get knocked out easily making Shouta seem like that child who trains his starter more than his other Pokémon who some of you might be familiar with in your childhood days of playing Pokémon. Yeah, Shouta is just not cutting it as a rival for me or for anyone for that matter.
Oh and it should come to no surprise that Shouta is getting lots of negative comments because of this and I... can't bring myself to care, because, well, they're right to complain. Unlike those idiots who question how Kotetsu got as far as he did, even though he's FUCKING SHOWN IT MORE THAN ONCE! ....Sorry, it's just that those people piss me off so much (god, they're more scatterbrained than Kotetsu is) oh and please don't mention that, it has nothing to do with what I'm talking about. Anyway, the people complain about Shouta complain about what's right there. Well, actually, I do have one thing against it and it's the people who don't seem to want Shouta to get better, to actually put on a full-on fight against Satoshi and not just with his Jukain (soon to be Mega Jukain).
And if it's not Shouta being portrayed as weak, there's Alan (yes, he's now Satoshi's rival) who's too overpowered. XY(&Z) rivals as a whole have been lacking.

he has lots of badges and yet everytime you see him battle Satoshi you're asking yourself "How did he win those badges if Satoshi keeps kicking his ass?" To be fair, some of the Gym Leaders we've seen in the anime have been pretty terrible. Also, Ash has more battling experience than some Gym Leaders at this point. Shouta should be equal to Satoshi in strength by now Haha, nope. Well, for all we know, that might be exactly what he's doing. Heck, that's what Ash still does every time he uses Pikachu even though his other Pokémon might also stand a chance against some of Pikachu's victims. But let's be serious for a minute. Ash's Hawlucha defeating Sawyer's Shelgon was perfectly acceptable. Remember that Sawyer caught Shelgon as a fairly weak Bagon, but Hawlucha was already the champion of his forest when Ash caught him. Also, who's to say that we saw the whole battle? IIRC, both Pokémon were already out on the battlefield when the episode started. They might have battled for several minutes before Hawlucha dealt the finishing blow. As for Pikachu versus Honedge, come on, do I even have to explain it? Honedge was most likely one of Sawyer's latest captures with much less battling experience than Pikachu. Moving on... Greninja versus Sceptile, that's where things get complicated. While it's true that Greninja (probably) evolved into his final stage earlier and therefore might have been at a higher level, I can't say that him withstanding that Leaf Storm for such a long time didn't rub me the wrong way. I might just about accept him surviving that because he's not a normal Pokémon, but the way he absolutely crushed Sceptile immediately after powering up was bullshit. Did Sceptile even take any damage before that? I don't remember, but it still looked way too easy. Anyway... I have a feeling that Sawyer and Sceptile will get their revenge once they'll be able to Mega Evolve. I just hope it happens BEFORE their battle at the Kalos League.

My other problem is Shouta's development is always happening off-screen, I like to see it happen in front of me so it will have more of an impact.
But if it continues like this and if Shouta ends up defeating Satoshi at the Kalos League, oh god, I.... I'm going to be avoiding the Serebii forums.
I mean I am going to avoid any discussions of that on there, I will still visit for Adamant's translations on upcoming stuff for the Pokémon anime.

New summaries for XY&Z015 and XY&Z016- I forgot to talk about the best part of last Thursday's episode and that's.... XY&Z used as background music were it was a perfect fit.
It's obvious that song is made for Satoshi and Gekkouga and the transformation to Satoshi-Gekkouga, it fitted greatly (as expected).
Also what makes it even more special is the fact that it is Satoshi singing, when you know the lyrics it's not just the beat that's great.
Those poor people who think this song is another "OK!" or "Spurt", for you see, Rica Matsumoto wasn't singing as Satoshi with those.

Oh god, not again; it's XY&Z, not XYZ. Also what's wrong with it? It's just as upbeat as "OK!" and "Spurt" are and it's fricken Satoshi singing. He's singing this- These words are made more special when you know it's Satoshi singing them. And have you heard the full version? Unsurprisingly, it's better than the TV one.
In fact it's because of "OK!" that I love "XY&Z". Why? Because they both have shouting a single word ("OK!" and "Iku Z!!/Ikou Z!!") and are really in your face.
