I heard that "Brilliantly" was used as an insert song in the latest episode. So far on Bulbagarden, it's gotten one complaint (though more could come). How would you say its use was in this one? Was it used better, or was it a total fuckup like the last time it was used as an insert song for an action scene?

It was good, Kira Kira played when Onbat learned Acrobat. Oh yeah, I should mention, Satoshi's Onbat learned Acrobat. So you would have notice a new theme playing in the Rocket Gang's motto, that's their new character song and this time the lyrical version played. They're the translated lyrics ( credit to Adamant for them). Also a new title- XY&Z014: The Explosive Ground Force! Operation: Capture Zygarde!!

Adamant's translation is better than Dogasu's, if you ask me. For one thing, Adamant bothered to translate what "ya na kanji" and "ii kanji" means. And he also bothered to translate what "Rocket-dan" means. In general, Adamant's translation doesn't have weeaboo-isms in it, so kudos to him for that.

Adamant is also the one who translated "Puni-chan" into "Squishy" and other people used it.
The only reason why I still use Puni-chan is because just in case Squishy will be its dub name.
Also Puni-chan sounds cuter. I use Rocket Gang, Satoshi, etc when talking about the original.

I use Rocket Gang, Satoshi, etc when talking about the original. Those are not what I consider weeaboo-isms. Just using original version terminology is fine with me, and I've done that myself before (and still do on Pixiv; in fact, on there, I only ever used the name "Ash Ketchum" when I was asked about how different the show is in English, and I explained what generally gets changed). To me, weeaboo-isms are stuff like leaving, well, basically anything that's not a proper noun or an important terminology in Japanese, or even haphazardly using Japanese honorifics (such as saying "Satoshi-tachi" rather than "Satoshi and friends") despite not speaking Japanese.

The latest episode was good for a number of reasons. Firstly, it was the first Noibat-centric episode in a long time and secondly because of the hilarious facial expressions in the episode. That Breloom was the funniest Breloom ever.
When Noibat started glowing, I just about had a heart attack, but luckily it just learned Acrobatics and didn't evolve. Evolving it now would have made absolutely zero sense - it only had its first victory in that episode! Acrobatics looked boss as fuck, though. Too bad that the writer of the episode fucked up when they made Breloom's Headbutt work on Gourgeist, but pretty much everything else was awesome. I just can't help wondering will we EVER get to see a lovestruck Pokémon have its affections returned by its crush? It's getting pretty depressing to see all those poor Pokémon get their hearts broken.

Full summary and voice cast for XY&Z013- Two new titles-
XY&Z015: A Birgarron from the Wilderness! The Tree-planting Robon!! XY&Z016: The Master Class Trial! What Will You Do, Serena!?
In XY&Z011 there was something funny done with the music when Onbat tries to attack Kinogassa and misses him, it suddenly slowed down, I loved that. It's too bad, unlike during the Diamond and Pearl series, this won't be in the dub (because it's not a non-emotional sounding - they replace An Eternal Prison and the Laverre City and Snowbelle City themes - track from the X/Y games) and TPCI most likely won't do that same thing with their music during this scene. The original has these funny things that you will never see in the dub, for example: the Pokémon quiz has included fun answers like Maiika in its Pikachu costume.

XY&Z012 screenshots: filb.de/anime/xyz/012 and XY&Z013 preview video: filb.de/anime/xyz/013A great episode;- gender confirmations, Serena's Eievui evolved into Nymphia and Serena finally had a battle which wasn't interrupted and won it. Also Yashio has been confirmed as Elle's mentor/teacher as Elle referred to Yashio as "Sensei". I don't care about that AmourShipping tease at all. Next week, I'm so happy Shouta has a Hitotsuki, because those people who whine about Shouta's achievements are butthurt over it and I love it.Uh, I mean, I really like Hitosuki and its evolved forms and it is great a recurring character owns one. Also Satoshi and Alan meet for the first time!

Apparently, one of the writers got harassed enough over the new episode to apologize for it.There is no amount of negativity I can feel for the show's original version that would make me feel that it was justifiable for her to be picked on over the new episode. As I understand it, it all has to do with shipping. Well, then I guess the fans who got upset over the episode should've thought of that before they became shippers. As a matter of fact, I'm going to watch this episode so I can help comfort Ms. Omode.

Just finished it. I gotta say, apart from my usual problems with the original version (and also music choices so random that I'm almost thinking they were just throwing darts at a wall with BGM track names written on it; for those wondering why I think TPCi's music replacement is justifiable and sometimes necessary, this is a big reason why), this was a fun one to see. Plus, I didn't want to wait too long to see the debut of my favorite Pokemon.
But now that I've seen it, I now know what made people so upset. And I still think their anger was unnecessary and stupid.

The only weird music choice was the Xerneas' and Yvletal's battle theme playing while Monsieur Pierre and Elle were dancing. The rest were fine. So I don't know what you're talking about, apart from the above, the other songs were either expected, fine or perfect choices for those scenes. But Meloetta's song was the best choice EVER, it was so great to hear that beautiful voice again. It is a damn shame TPCI are going to replace it.
I've known about that harassing on Thursday, here is a translation by Serebii forums Staff member Sushi on his Tumblr blog (with a fitting response). So here is something that might piss off a certain grumpy guy, but it's none of his business. Please don't take this me as denying your opinions, Ryu. "But why don't you private message it to me instead?" Ryu asks. Because that will just be the cowards way out, I don't care if SJ attacks me for this. There is no amount of negativity I can feel for the show's original version that would make me feel that it was justifiable for her to be picked on over the new episode. And that confirms to me you are way too harsh on the original version of the anime that you almost get near something like this (but, thankfully, don't). I saw what you do not like about the Japanese version in your Bulbagarden forums blog and those are really not enough to conjure up major hate for it. Just like there are some things I like about the dub, along with some things I don't, I know there must be some things you like about the original version. I don't hate the dub, I dislike some of the changes they've make, but they are not enough for me to say "it sucks". I still come back to it as it has a charm. I heard that "Brilliantly" was used as an insert song in the latest episode. So far on Bulbagarden, it's gotten one complaint (though more could come). How would you say its use was in this one? Was it used better, or was it a total fuckup like the last time it was used as an insert song for an action scene? No! You know what? Before I couldn't be bothered and that's why I gave an average answer, but I'm going to answer this properly: IT WAS USED PERFECTLY. Kira Kira is a song about Citron writing a letter to Satoshi, thanking him for all the support which helped Citron improve and believe in himself, but as neither of these character's names are mentioned, it can be be used for any character in the show and Kira Kira started up when Satoshi told Onbat to not give up and it was thanks to Satoshi's SUPPORT that Onbat kept on going and learned Acrobat. The person who said it was "unfitting" clearly does not know the lyrics to the song and you shouldn't believe them and use their words to bring down the Japanese version more, because that is just forcing hate and it is so unnecessary.

I know there must be some things you like about the original version. Believe it or not, there are. -I've heard a few Pokemon voices I liked better in Japanese, especially the ones that sound like animals. -Rica Matsumoto does a good Ash Ketchum. -It's always interesting to see what the English dub skipped. (In other words, banned episodes) -The First Movie. Apart from the aforementioned banned episodes, the first movie's original version is the only morsel of the original version I like better than the English version, and would watch again. No amount of love I have for the dub (either of them) can make me think 4kids had the right idea to turn Mewtwo from a confused villain into a vengeful villain, nor to create the "fighting is wrong" message that every American critic rightfully got on the dub movie's case for. -Generally, the show's more consistent in Japanese (although inconsistency was only a problem when 4kids had the dub). -A few of its openings are really good (my top three are: 1. "OK!!", 2. "Aim to be a Pokemon Master", 3. "Pokemon Symphonic Medley") Although I feel the original version's problems are greater than its advantages, I do admit there are things to love about it.

I expected there were things you did like about it, I saw some hints from you.
Also I hope you believe me on what I said on the use of Kira Kira in XY&Z011.

Not really, but I also don't believe the complaints, either. I'd have to see it myself.
