They always tease you at the start with something which is pretty much noting, then later on more details start to appear. I don't know why anybody is even surprised, people really should have learned this long time ago whenever new Pokémon games are announced. CoroCoro has promised new content will be revealed in next month's issue which is set for release on 14th June and will likely be leaked (taken with a camera) and posted on the internet before that.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!! FINALLY!!! ...May... Brendan... Is that you?! The villains sure look different. I also noticed that Team Aqua members, as well as Brendan, got a darker skin tone, which kind of makes sense, considering Hoenn's warm climate. Next is Steven. I don't know... Does that Level 100 Mega Charizard X really belong to him?! Wouldn't a Mega Aggron be more suitable, by the way? Mega Evolution is a phenomenon only observed in the Kalos region? My ass! I don't care about Diancie, so I'll get to my beloved starters immediately: YEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!! MEGA EVOLVED HOENN STARTERS!!! Grass-Dragon may not be the best type combination ever, but it sure fits Sceptile! Hell yeah, another Dragon type starter! Lightning Rod doesn't seem that much useful, since they won't be attacking Mega Sceptile with electric attacks, especially with that new 4x resistance. Still, the opponent would think twice before spamming Thunderbolt and Thunder. Hmm, Swift Swim. They'd better give Mega Swampert a GREAT boost in Speed for Swift Swim to work effectively, because Swampert is fucking slow. If they do, Swampert can be an awesome Swift Swimmer, thanks to its typing, good coverage, and bulk. And judging from Mega Swampert's ripped design, it doesn't seem like its bulk will decrease. Mega Blaziken is still game breaking as fuck. I wonder; why did they decide to only reveal Mega Blaziken in X and Y?  Wait, does that mean that their Mega forms are actually worse than their normal forms?!

Actually they aren't Mega Evolutions at all, they're in fact called Ancient Devolution. The process works in a manner which is similar to Mega Evolution.
Prehistoric Groudon and Prehistoric Kyogre - you can also them Primeval or Primal - could have been how Groudon and Kyorge looked like in the past.
I now wonder if Rayquaza has an Ancient Devolution seeing as it's connect with Groudon and Kyogre, all three are known as super-ancient Pokémon.

So, considering the meaning of the words "devolution" and "regression", they may in fact be worse in their whatever their forms are called than their normal forms!

They might not be worse, Groudon's and Kyorgre's weather changing abilities could have been more devastating in the prehistoric era. Or maybe they're just more aggressive because primal creatures usually are (just look at Primal Dialga in the second Mystery Dungeon game; a wild animal who couldn't be tamed).

I love how Diancie has a Mega Evolution, and no one even has access to it yet. I'm assuming maybe it'll show up in the movie, like Mega Charizard X in Origins.
May kind of looks different in Sugimori's current style, I assume though that the trainer customization options from X and Y are returning.
Also, I wonder what the anime will do, like how Lyra hung around for a couple episodes, will we seen Brendan in the show (sure, I guess he was in the movies, but not like he did anything) or will they break their tradition of the girl from the last season returning, and sub May for Iris?
This friend is so looking forward to this game, her first games were in Hoenn (which she tells me her mother hilariously mistook for her saying "hoeing"... expect to see that in a future guide... probably) even moreso than X and Y. Also, by complete happenstance, without discussing it with each other, we totally decided again to pick up the opposite games. It's like we have telepathy.

 The differences. Also can we just talk about Brendan's outfit in both Ruby/Sapphire and Emerald? Warm clothing in a warm climate, he must have been suffering. The ORAS outfit is more suitable. |

So Team Magma and Team Aqua - It would be hard to believe they are all the same people from R/S/E, but they are.
They currently have the biggest design change out of any character in a remade Pokémon game. Brendan is second.
