This poses an interesting question. Where does the game fit in the timeline? Mega Evolution wasn't discovered until X and Y, but the events of Ruby and Sapphire already happened, right?
So, if these games are emtn to be straight remakes, how s this possible.
Also, in real life, does this mean that X and Y won't be compatible with Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire?

Well Mega Evolution was discovered long before the player characters in all region Pokémon games were born, so.... Now with Mega Evolutions confirmed, let's refer back to this list: summary.fc2.com/summary.php?summary_cd=171900There will definitely be Primal Rayquaza (no surprise) Plusle and Minun will be getting Mega Evolutions and so will Jynx. |

If it improves Plusle and Minun so they aren't just Pikachu clones who pander to the double battle format, then I'm up for it. As you can see, there have been Pokémon in the low potential list who have gotten Mega Evolutions. Here's Mega Sableye. So far most of the Pokémon in the high potential list have Mega Evolutions and Primal Devolutions confirmed, I would say it's definite the ones left will get them. But not getting Mega Evolutions is not true for all Pokémon in the low potential list as some Pokémon there have gotten one (it's possible there could be more). |

I'm so glad I was wrong about there not being any new Mega Evolutions.
That said Pokemon like Sableye, Plusle and Minun would benefit a lot more from just plain old evolutions before getting Megas. They're giving a lot of Megas to Pokemon who are otherwise shit but since you can only carry one Mega at a time you're stuck trying to decide which one to run with.

The video also includes various other things, like; areas in Hoenn, battling against Team Magma or Team Aqua and Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre in action. Taken from the official ORAS website. Just as I thought, in the primal age Groudon and Kyogre had more power than they do now. A couple of my guesses: Regigigas (It's high time he got some) Relicanth (Only ancient Pokemon that didn't get fossilized or hide away in a cave and jerk off for a century) Lucario, Charizard or Mewtwo (because right now they fucking love those assholes) Genesect Zygarde Arceus (Because they're idiots) |

Regarding Mega Evolution being in these games:- Why do some people think Mega Evolution was something that was just discovered in the Kalos region? It wasn't, it was discovered long before any of the main protagonists in the main Pokémon games were born (the very first person to use Mega Evolution is an ancestor of Korrina's). So it's not odd for few characters in Hoenn and other regions to know about Mega Evolution, it's just not well known outside of Kalos.

I'm so happy that Sceptile and Swampert got Mega Evolutions, especially since Swampert is my favorite Pokémon. The player characters' redesigns are pretty cool and the Team leaders look also quite awesome. I just feel sorry for Tabitha. Poor bastard, no one will ever take him seriously again.
I've heard rumors of Mega Shiftry and Mega Ludicolo and I think they're quite likely to come true. Those two are version exclusives after all. I seriously doubt anyone would be interested in Mega Plusle and Minun, but I know I'll definitely use a Mega Sableye. It looks awesome and I've always kinda liked Sableye even though it's always been so weak in the games.
Also... Jynx is getting a Mega? Are you sure about that? I didn't think Nintendo would've forgotten all the shit they got about Jynx being such a "horrible racist stereotype" and all that gunk so fast.

Jynx is purple now (has been for a long time) in every media and card she appears in, so it's perfectly fine for her to get a Mega Evolution.

Yep, Mega Evolution was discovered a long time ago IN THE KALOS REGION and the first person to use it was an ancestor of Korrina's, who lived IN THE KALOS REGION and all of those big shots like the Mega Evolution Guru and Professor Sycamore kept insisting in XY that it was only known to exist IN THE KALOS REGION. Sure, I have no doubts that eventually Mega Evolution will be possible everywhere in the Pokémon world, so the only problem I have with Mega Evolution existing in ORAS is the fact that they will most likely be remakes of RSE instead of sequels, which would mean that they happen before XY in the official timeline and that means that Sycamore was dead wrong. Kind of embarrassing for a Professor like him not to know about Mega Evolution already existing somewhere else but Kalos, isn't it?
Oh, I know and I quite agree. I'm just a little surprised that Nintendo is willing to risk it because some idiots are bound to take offense.
