OK, so I plan on working on the guides we missed, but I'll keep the current episodes as higher priority, especially since everybody seems to like this arc coming up.

My schedule has been somewhat cleared up for a short while. As I wrote before, I have a little more than a half of the Poke-Puff episode guide done, and it will be up in a day or two, so you can leave that to me and skip the extra trouble. If you want to take up the Battle Chateau, Diantha and Hawlucha episodes, I am perfectly fine with it, as I will not be able to write any of them anytime soon. Starting from December, I will be posting regularly again.

So, I see that Cartoon Network is airing Diancie and the Cocoon of Destruction airs next Saturday on Cartoon Network, but I know the TV version is usually edited. The DVD version, should be the full version, though, right?

Yes, the US DVD comes out 17th Feburary 2015, but hopefully it will air in the UK before then.
Unlike Cartoon Network, CITV doesn't cut down Pokémon movies to meet with their time frame.

No Poké Puff episode guide yet, I see. Maybe LT should just handle that one as well.

BTW, I should actually have some extra time this week to get some of those extra guides done.

So for some unknown reason TPCI replaced the majority of the background music in the 17th movie. And why? Just why?
They have never done this before, it doesn't make sense. Please let it be a TV thing and the DVD has the original music.
I just don't know what the fuck, TPCI. I also heard that on TV the opening was instrumental, but in theatres it was lyrical.
Oh and as expected, Cartoon Network cut out some scenes and the credits, so best not make a guide out of that version.

Here's the original movie 17 soundtrack (hear what's missing): www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9mCMKp0o7xtzTYerOU5zalbZRSHE6hLy. Hopefully the DVD contains all the original background music. But if not, then fuck TPCI, fuck the dub, I'll only watch the movie in Japanese. I can let them replacing most of the TV show background music go. But why suddenly change something they've been keeping in the past?

Why do they change the music anyway?
I mean, what's even the point?

I heard it has something to do with money? I do not know.... Now I wish Funimation or VIZ got the rights to dub Pokémon.
There were times when TPCI would keep a lot of the original music and even all of it, but now a majority of it gets replaced.
It's a real shame not everybody is aware of the original score, Shinji Miyazaki music is one of the best heard for a TV series.

I used to be okay with it for a long time, mainly because I never watched the Japanese episodes until Best Wishes. I was still somewhat okay with it during BW, because I didn't think the Japanese BW music was all that memorable. But now? Repeatedly replacing Lysandre's battle theme with mediocre dub battle music is UNFORGIVABLE!

Which is weird considering I figured TPCi would have a better handle over the license of the only thing they seemingly exist to distribute.
