I'm finally getting to this week's installment. I watched the new SNL, then I was getting some things ready for tonight's meal; mostly taking stuff off the second tv tray.
I'll do the snacks afterward since I have a buttload of regular meal items to post, even though I have nothing for Sun.
Sat: I only have 2 of 5 items to review. I had a can of Great Value Vienna sausages. They were good. I put them in the fridge, but I can't recall if the liquid gooified. I also had a can of Lay's Stax. They were Salt & Vinegar. They were good.
Mon: I had hotdogs. They were Bar-S Classic Bun Length Franks. I did the 4 with buns and 4 without thing. I also used onions. But I tried some new things. Besides the regular mustard, I got 2 others at ALDI from the Burman's brand. One is Habanero, and the other is Cayenne Pepper. For the first hotdog, I used the Habanero mustard. I put onions on the back half of the bun. The mustard wasn't that good. It had an odd taste, and wasn't hot. The next hotdog I put the Cayenne Pepper mustard on. I also did the onions on the back half thing. This mustard was better. There was a bit of heat. The third and 4th hotdogs I used the regular mustard. Since I didn't cut up a lot of onions, I think I might not have had any left for one or both of these.
I need to interrupt to give some relevant info. When I have hotdogs, I do something odd. Even though I put mustard on the bun, I'll occasionally squirt some extra on before I take a bite.
These were good. I did the bite squirt thing with all 3 mustards. The Habanero still wasn't good.
With the 4 without buns, I squirt a bit of mustard on the end and put a few pieces of onion(when there is some left) before I take a bite. These were good, but the Habanero mustard still wasn't.
As for what I had with them, it was something new. It was store-brand French fries. I made them in the oven. I preheated the oven to the instruction temp. I put them on a cookie sheet. I wanted to use half a bag, but I don't think I was able to put that many on the cookie sheet. I put them in the oven for a while. I then opened the oven and turned the cookie sheet around and kept them in there for some more time. When I figured they were done, I took them out. They were good.
Tue: I had hotdogs again. This time it was Bar-S Chicken Franks. This time I fried them. Before I put them in the pan, I fried some onion until it was pretty much burnt. Then I fried some cabbage. I did the 4 on buns.... thing again. For the first one, I put the Habanero mustard on the bun, and the cabbage and onions on the whole length of the bun. It was good, except for the mustard. On the second, I used the Cayenne Pepper mustard, and put the onions and cabbage on the whole bun. It was good, but the mustard didn't have any heat. It was good. On buns 3 and 4, I used the regular mustard. I had cut up some onion that I didn't fry, and put some on both of these. They were good. As for the 4 with out buns, see Mon. This time there was enough onion for all 4 of them. They were good.
As for what I had with them, it was a bag of store-brand Cheetos. While they were actually good, I did have one criticism. The bag says Hot & Spicy which to me implies they are supposed to be like Flamin' Hot Cheetos. These weren't hot at all. I'm thinking of getting some more, even though I have 5 bags of the real deal. Last month's ad had them for 1.67(aka 3 for $5). This month's ad have them even cheaper at $1.48 each.
I had the hotdogs because one grocery chain had them on sale for $.59, and the other chain had buns for $.77.
Wed: I had my fried rice. I put all the condiments/spices in the pan except for the mustards. I also used mustard, Sriracha, and hot sauce water. I had them with my 3 items. It was good.
Thu: See Wed.
Fri: I was going to get stuff at the hot section of a grocery store. I decided not to since there flies buzzing around, including one right over one of the items I wanted to get. This is only the second time I've seen flies at this particular store. I then went over to a relatively close Arby's. They have started selling chicken sandwiches. They have 5 total(the commercials only feature 3), but I only got 4 of them. I also got 2 orders of onion rings. Since I took a LOOOOOOOONNNNNNNG time getting my reading done, I ate way late(I think I started between 630 and 7am), so the stuff was room temp. The onion rings were good. I'll do a list of the sandwiches in the order I ate them.
Buttermilk Chicken Cordon Bleu: This was good. I think it might have actually been the best of the 4. There was a lot of ham on it, which I could actually taste.
Buttermilk Chicken Bacon & Swiss: This was pretty good too, but I don't think I really tasted the bacon. Form sitting out so long, the cheese
Buttermilk Buffalo Chicken: It was ok. While there was a buffalo taste, I don't think there was any heat to it, which is definitely due to it being room temp.
Chicken Peperoni Parm: This wasn't so great. I think I only tasted the pasta sauce, and not the cheese or peperoni. I don't know if the temperature had anything to do with this.
And now for the snacks. But first I have to mention 3 things.
During the last week of Sept, the one grocery chain had its store-brand cereal on sale. I picked up 3 boxes of the plain spoon-size shredded wheat. I opened up a box this past week and have been snacking on it almost every day. It is good. I would recommend putting canola oil on them.
I also opened up a summer sausage that I bought at ALDI. It is from Simms. I have been snacking on that various days. It is good. There is one thin I found humorous. Instead of printing stuff on the packaging, they printed it on the casing of the sausage.
Except for Thu, I am not 100% sure when I had these items.
I had a bag of Calbee Harvest Snaps. These are made from black beans. They were the Mango Chili Lime Flavor. I don't think they were that great. They had an odd flavor, which I'm guessing was mango since I don't recall tasting lime or chili. It could be that the odd flavor was all three things blending together and not having individual flavors. I think I had these Mon.
I had a bag of potato chips. They were from Kettle Brand. The flavor was Pepperoncini. The chips were good, and had a flavor to them, but weren't hot. Apparently pepperoncini peppers aren't very hot, but the heat is a bit more apparent when they are pickled, like the ones you get with a Papa John's pizza. I think I had these Tue since I seem to recall eating these while watching NCIS NO.
I had a bag of croutons. The brand is Mrs. Cubbison's. They are the Classic Seasoned variety. They were good. The flavor is that of regular croutons, so the flavor name is accurate. I still have 2 other flavors to try. I think these were on Wed.
On Thu, I went to Popeyes(a fried chicken restaurant chain). They have been advertising a $4 popcorn chicken deal that is 1/4 of popcorn chicken, a biscuit, and a side. I got one of these. After I got it, I went to Walmart and the gas station. Also, I didn't eat it right when I got home, so the stuff wasn't warm. Now to review the items. First I had the biscuit. It was good even though it wasn't warm. It had a buttery taste to it. Next was the side. I got red beans and rice. It was good. As for the popcorn chicken, it was good. Even though it wasn't warm, it had some spice heat to it. I don't know if it comes in both mild and spicy varieties.
The last time I had anything from Popeyes was when my parents picked up fried chicken there when I was a kid(somewhere around 30 yrs ago). The chicken sucked because the pieces(especially the drumsticks) were fucking tiny!!!! I've always said they use pigeons instead of chicken. I was trying to Google to see if they have changed this. I came across this video www.youtube.com/watch?v=3xkFofuEWQE where the drumsticks actually look huge. I may have to give them a second chance when it comes to fried chicken.
That's all for now. I'm going to have my "Sat" meal in a bit. Since I don't have to go to work Mon, I'm doing 2 food experiments. The first will be "tonight's" meal. It will take a bit of typing, so I may do a special edition on Sun night. The Sun meal will take some typing, but I may have to save that for next Sat.

Like I said, I am making a special edition post since there was quite a bit of stuff from last night.
But first, I need to say something I forgot last night. Remember the tip I gave on 9/10 about taking stuff out of the oven before turning it on? Well, I forgot to follow that last Mon. It took some time for the cast iron pan to cool off after being heated up to 450F.
Since that has been resolved, I'll get to last night's meal.
I had 3 cans of veggies and a meat item. I'll mention the veggies first in list form.
On the veggies, I had them plain, and with my spices/condiments, except for paprika and mustards. I also tried using canola oil.
Beets: These were a store-brand. I cooked them in the microwave. I didn't like them. They had an "earthy" flavor, i.e. they kind of tasted like dirt. Adding the other stuff didn't help.
Butter Beans: They are also called Lima beans. These were from ALDI, and were that Dakota brand. I cooked these on the stove. I was eating them, and they didn't taste good. I ate a few of the beans without the liquid they came in, and they tasted better. I then drank the liquid out of the pot and ate the beans after. I think the only thing that tasted good on them was canola oil. I also tried canola oil and pepper, but I can't recall if that tasted better than just the oil itself.
Squash With Vidalia Onions: I bought this can at Walmart. The brand is Margaret Holmes. I cooked these on the stove. When I opened up the can, it smelled like chicken broth, so that's what I thought the liquid was. I looked at the can, and it wasn't so. I didn't like the taste of these either. I didn't seem to see or taste any onion. The canola oil imparted its own taste, making these taste more acceptable. I can't remember if adding pepper with the canola oil was even better. The can doesn't mention what type of squash it was, but the size of the pieces and the color made it yellow squash. There are different types out there, so maybe I will try those in the future. Also, maybe the yellow squash would taste better if it was fried or baked.
The meat item was a package of Oven Roasted Chicken Breast. This was the Lunch Mate brand from ALDI. This time I took it out of the fridge hours before I ate it. It still didn't really have any taste; I guess that's better than it tasting bad. Since I had those spices and condiments out, I tried them on the meat too. I don't remember my impressions of those things.
Since I'm here, I might as well talk about tonight's snacking.
First, I finished a box of cereal. It was the regular Cap'n Crunch. It was good. A while back, I didn't do a good job of closing the bag, so they got a bit stale. It didn't affect the taste; they just didn't crunch as much.
I also had 2 slices of summer sausage which were good. I may have some more while cooking my actual meal.
My actual meal will ne another first-time thing. Depending on what I have going on on Mon, I may or may not have another special edition. For my Mon and Tues meals, I am planning on trying a new ingredient. I may also try something new on Fri, but I don't know yet.
That's all for now.

It's time again. I was watching SNL again, but the tv reception was causing some glitching due to the weather.
I will list the meals first, then the snacks.
Thunderbirds are go!
Sun: I made 1 new thing and a variation on something else. I'll start with the easy thing first. I made the second "half" of the bag of store-brand French fries. This time, I cooked them in my deep frying pot of canola oil. They were good. I don't know how they compare to the ones I cooked in the oven. I'm keeping the empty bag so I can split up another bag of fries I got. I'll put fries in that bag until is feels as heavy as the bag they came in.
For my meat item, I cooked a bag of frozen shrimp. Before I cooked them, I had to get them unfrozen. I took them out of the freezer and read the bag. It said to thaw them, either put them in the fridge overnight, or run cold water over them for 8 min. I just left the bag on the dish drying board for a few hours. It didn't cause any problems. I think the instructions are there to release them from liability. If you got food poisoning, they could say it's your fault if you didn't thaw them according to the instructions. When I was squeezing on the bag to fell the shrimp, some water would come out. After I opened the bag, I drank the water inside, even though I probably shouldn't do that. It was good. Well, after all that, I guess I should talk about cooking the shrimp. When I would get boiled shrimp at one of the grocery chains, they would cook it a liquid that just about tasted good enough to drink. I called one of the stores and asked them what they used. They said they used some crab boil stuff off the shelf. When shopping, I looked at various brands of boil. I picked a box from McCormick because the instructions said to use 1lb of shrimp, which is how much is in the bag. I cooked the shrimp in the crab boil. The shrimp was good. As for the liquid, it was different than the stuff at the store. The store stuff seemed like it had a buttery quality to it. The stuff I used was spicier. Two of the ingredients are black pepper and red pepper. I'm assuming the store used another brand. I'll get back to the liquid in a bit.
Mon: I made my fried potatoes with veggies. This time I didn't put my spices/condiments in the pan since I tried something else It was half a can of enchilada sauce. While it didn't taste good right out of the can, it tasted good in the veggies. Besides having them as-is, I had my 3 items. I don't think I tasted those. I used the cheese grater on the potatoes again. While this makes prep and cooking faster, the potatoes shrink up quite a bit.
Tue: I made my fried rice with veggies. I did the same thing regarding the other half of the enchilada sauce. It was good. Again, I also tried my 3 items and didn't really taste them.
I bought another can of the enchilada sauce, because I have another idea to try out.
Wed: I have to go back a bit first. When I bought the crab-boil, I thought it be in packets that you open and dump into the water. Instead, they came in gauze bags. When I was done cooking the shrimp, I took the bag out and put it in a plastic container and put it in the fridge. When I was done eating my shrimp, I put the liquid from the pot in a container that I put in a fridge. On Mon, since I wasn't precooking any rice, I decided to put some water in the pot and put the boil bag in. I cooked this all. When I was done, I put the liquid in a container that went into the fridge. I tried a sip of both containers. The liquid I cooked the shrimp in tasted better because it had shrimp taste to it.
For the meal, I made my fried rice with veggies. When I cooked the rice, I used the shrimpless liquid I made on Mon. When I cooked the rice and veggies, I didn't add any spices/condiments to the pan. When the stuff was done, I turned the burner off but left the pan there. I added liquid from when I made the shrimp. I don't recall if I added the any of the other liquid. It was good as-is. The liquids added flavor, but not in an overwhelming manner. I also used my 3 items, but I don't remember my impressions of them.
Thu: I just got some ready to eat food at the grocery store that I won't review.
Fri: I made my fried rice and veggies. I used my spices/condiments in the pan except for mustard(I'm saving that for my meal next Sat). I did add a new ingredient though. It was a can of clams by Cape May. When the rice and veggies were done, I turned the burner way down. After I opened the can, I took a small sip of the juice. It didn't taste too bad. I also tried one of the clam pieces. It wasn't too bad either. It had a seafood taste. The texture was chewy/rubbery, but it was not a negative. I dumped the juice and clams in the pan. At this time, I have to mention 2 negatives about the clams. First is that the can had more juice than actual clams. Second is that the can didn't say if the clams were raw or cooked. If they are cooked, I might buy another can and just eat them. I guess I see if I can contact the company online and ask them. After stirring the pan for a while, I was done. It tasted fine, but I didn't really even taste the clams. Maybe if I used more than one can, that would change. I also tried using my 3 items which were good.
Now for the snacks.
On various days, I snacked on the shredded wheat and summer sausage.
On either Tue or Wed, I had a can of Pringles. They were the Tangy Buffalo Wing. They were good. I don't recall if there was much, if any, of the classic buffalo flavor. They weren't spicy.
On Fri, I had a bag of something I picked up at the Asian store. I think the brand name is kaqi. The back of the bag says "Douxiang" and "Guoba", which are probably company names. The English sticker says "Crust Of Cooked Crispy Rice(s)". The importer is May Flower Int Inc of NJ. To me, they looked like Golden Grahams. When I opened the bag, I thought I smelled a sweet smell, along with others. On the ingredients list, sugar is pretty high up. There is also ginger powder. As for the taste, I couldn't identify anything specific. They are supposed to be spicy. I don't really think they were, except for warming my lips. I guess I liked the taste, but I wouldn't get them again. I think that is mostly due to them looking like Golden Grahams, and the sugar and ginger in the ingredients. I have some kind of thing about mixing "meat" and sweet. I found a web page about this snack: www.yamibuy.com/en/goods.php?id=173626
As for tonight, first I opened up a bag of cereal. I won't review that until I'm finished. Next, I finished a jar of chunky store-brand peanut butter. It was good. Finally, I ate the last half of the Girl Scout Thin Mints cookies. They were good.
For tonight's meal, one of the items will be a can of Pringles or Lay's Stax. Depending on what I choose, I may review it in the future. I'm also having a can of Vienna sausage.
For Sun, I will open up a new jar of peanut butter that I'll review when I'm finished. For my actual "meal", I'm thinking I'll have some pretzels that I won't review.
As for next time, I don't know what I'll be doing. On Thu, I'm planning on visiting the thrift stores in my former town. On Fri, I'm planning on doing my annual south of the river thrift/pawn/gun/music trip. I'll be posting something "Sat", but I don't know if it'll be this stuff or the food. It appears SNL is a repeat next week, so it looks like I'll get some more typing time.
Bye!

I forgot to mention for Fri that I was intending the clams to be my meat item. Since there was not that much there, I also had a can of sardines, which is what I always have with my fried rice(or potatoes) with veggies.

Good evening. Or maybe it should be good morning since I'll be posting this after midnight. I was going to start typing this earlier, but I'm really tired, but I'm not going to go into it.
I'll list the snacks after the actual meals, since I'm a bit off on what days I had them.
Sat: One item was a can of Vienna sausages. They were good, but I don't recall what brand they are. The other item was a can of Pringles. They were the French Onion Dip flavor. They were good. I guess they taste a lot like the Sour Cream & Onion flavor. For some reason, I fell odd about doing an A/B test with them. There was a guy at work who sat next to me that would open up 3 cans at one time.
Sun: Nothing to review.
Before I get to Mon and Tue, I need to add some background. Last week I talked about the liquid from the crab boil. I made another batch of crab boil liquid. Since the gauze bag the spices come in was opening up, a bunch of the spices came out into the water. Also, after I got done using them last Fri(10/13), I put the little bit of remaining boil I cooked the shrimp in and mixed it with the rest of the original extra batch.
Mon: I made my fried potatoes and veggies. I didn't add my usual contingent of spices/condiments. I added some of the crab boil liquid from both containers. I may have added some of the crab boil spices. The meal was good. I also used my 3 items, but I only had a tiny bit of pepper left. I don't think I noticed these much.
Tue: I made my fried rice and veggies. When I cooked the rice, I used some of the crab boil liquid from the new batch. I also added some of the spices from the boil bag. As for the pan, the only spice stuff I added was the rest of the crab boil liquid from both containers. Since I ran out of canola oil, there wasn't as much in the pan. This means the rice didn't brown as usual. It was still good. I also used my 3 items; after work that day, I picked up another container of pepper. Like the day before, I don't think I really noticed them.
Wed: I made a frozen pizza from Red Baron. It was the Classic Crust Supreme Pizza. Since I bought it the day after Thanksgiving, it had a layer of ice on top. I put it in the oven. When it was halfway through cooking, I opened the oven and turned the cookie sheet 180deg. This is so the pizza would cook evenly and not have one side dried out. It was really good.
Thu: I ate with my parents at their new house. I did go shopping and picked up a bunch of food.
Fri: I made my fried rice and veggies, but with some changes: •I used half a bag of frozen peas and carrots instead of broccoli •I used half a bag of frozen brussels sprouts instead of cabbage •I only used half the rice I normally used which will make sense in a minute
I cut the brussels sprouts after I heated them up in the microwave. Since I bought a new bottle of canola oil the day before at ALDI, I had enough to get the rice browned in the pan. As the stuff was almost done in the pan, I poured some chicken broth in the pot I had cooked the rice in. I then took the stuff in the pan and dumped it in the pot. I then added the rest of the chicken broth. I then brought this to a boil. Then I turned the burner down to low, and put the lid on the pot. After between 15-20 min, I took the pot off the stove. I wouldn't call it a soup since the liquid to solid ratio wasn't big enough. As for the taste, it was decent. The browned rice imparted an interesting flavor. I also tried it with all my spices and condiments, including all 3 mustards. I don't recall what I thought of each item. I didn't feel like making a list.
For my meat item, I made a package of Eckrich rope sausage(I'm not looking to see if it's a special flavor). The few pieces I had plain were good. I had it with all 3 mustards. The Habanero still had the funny taste, but it seemed to go with the sausage. The Cayenne didn't taste that much different than the regular mustard.
I actually got a super late start on this meal, so it was technically Sat breakfast. I think I was done eating a little bit after 10am.
Now for the snacks.
I had a big(7oz) bag of Bugles. They were good. I remember thinking they tasted like Fritos, but not as strong. The bag shows they have a ranch flavor, but the fucking stores around here don't have them.
I had a package of Maruchan ramen noodles. It was the Creamy Chicken flavor. It was good.
I had a bag of croutons from Mrs. Cubbison's. They were the Caesar Salad flavor. I don't know if they tasted like that, but they were good nonetheless.
On Wed I made a bag of microwave popcorn. It was sitting in my parents cabinet at the old house. I swear the expiration date was from 2001. Unfortunately, I cooked it too long. I don't know if that's from the popcorn being old, or that modern microwaves are way more powerful. I ended up having a big clump of burned popcorn in the bag. I ate the clump, and it didn't taste horrible. The unburnt popcorn wasn't really good or bad. I maybe would have added canola oil to the bag if I hadn't run out the night before.
On Fri, I had 3 things. First was a package of Nissin Chow Mein that I bought at Dollar Tree the day before. It was the Teriyaki Beef flavor. It was ok. It did taste like teriyaki. That was the only flavor they had. Next was a can of Brookdale Vienna sausages. They were good. Finally was a bag of pork rinds from Clancy's(ALDI). They were good.
Tonight I had a bag of microwave popcorn from Clancy's. I think it was the Movie Theater Butter flavor. It was good, but may have been better if I didn't cook it as long. I took a few pieces and put some canola oil on them. I don't think I really tasted it.
As for "tonight's" meal, I will have something I've had before, but I will be cooking some a different way. I will review that in my next food thread. I don't know if I will post it next week since I need to finish something else first.
I'll be back in a bit.

On Thu, I visited the thrift stores in my former town. I didn't go to the cat charity one because they were closed that day.
I also visited the antique store. The next paragraph will be about that.
There was a piano near the cash register. One booth had 3 interesting things. First was a Heathkit audio analyzer. Next was a GE signal generator. Finally was a Viz audio generator. The last 2 items look like they could be used in a modular synth setup. The Viz was missing the big knob on the front. Another booth had a small practice amp. I didn't see a brand name on the front, and didn't look on the back. There was a model name of G-10 on the front. I'll just leave it at that. Another booth had an acoustic guitar. It looked like a classical guitar. It had steel strings, but I think they are supposed to only have nylon strings. In another booth, there was a bunch of old electronic diagnostic equipment.
At one thrift store, There was a Casio CT-640. It came with a stand. They wanted $53 for it, which is way too much.
At the thrift store called Savers, there was a ukulele. I didn't mess with it because some guy was looking at it. There were 2 kiddie kb. One of them looked like it had Frozen characters on it. In the one glass case, there was a clarinet for $74.99.

On Fri, I did my yearly south of the river pawn/thrift/gun/music shop trip. I got a WAAAAAY late start. I think it was close to noon when I left the house.
This time I won't put the whole trip in one post; I'll break it up and post what I have. I won't post about places where I didn't find anything unless I have a reason to.
Since I have moved since my last trip, I started out taking a different route. I decided to visit Guitar Center first. I also did this due to running late so I could get it out of the way, and also not have to go back and forth to get to it.
First I went to the used gear area. At the top of the wall, there was a BC Rich Mockingbird for $349. It was one of the ones with a bunch of switches. The low price makes me think it was a budget model. There was an Aria Pro II superstrat. It had a HSS pu config and 22 frets. I can't remember if I played on it or not. They only wanted $169 for it, which seemed like a good deal. I just wish they sold the AP2 V for that much.
In regards to used amps, there were Marshalls. First was a DSL 15H head for $349. There was a JCM800 combo from the 80's for $1599(!!!!).
It's getting late, and I want to eat, then sleep, so I'll stop here.

Lets continue and get back to the GC used gear area.
There were also 3 Fender silverface amps. There was a Concert and a Pro Reverb. There was a Vibro King for $1499. They also had an Ampeg AX-44C. I'm not sure of the price, but I think it could've ben $249. The pricetage also mentioned tubes. I did some research, and it is like a Marshall Valvestate in that it is basically solid state, but has a tube in the preamp section that may or may not affect the sound. If the price was that much, I would prefer to find a Valvestate, that might even be cheaper. Except for the tube thing and an effects loop, my Peavey amp has the same features, and only cost me $200. There was also a Bugera amp. I think Bugera is French for "expensive-looking cheap stuff". There was also another amp whose brand started with B. I think it was a Blackstar.
Nearby, there were 2 Marshall DSL40C combos. The one with the regular black Tolex was $599 and the one with white Tolex was $699. I forget if these were new or used.
As I walked along the guitar wall, a neon green guitar caught my eye. It was a brand called Mitchell. I think the pricetag said $279, and that it was on clearance. I didn't write down the pickup configuration. When I got to the end of the wall, there was a space where there weren't any guitars. I didn't go in the bass area. I went into the drum section. There was an empty space where the stuff like congas, bongos, etc. used to be. There was nobody behind the counter. The $$$$ rom was empty. The place where the effects counter was was replaced by lesson booths. I then turned around and saw the effects counter was somewhere else and was squarish now. I didn't spend much time there since there were 2 guys looking at stuff.
My final stop was the keyboard rooms. There were still no B3 simulators, though there was a guy playing a B3 preset on another keyboard. I looked to see if they had a Casio CTK-7200 or WK-7600 because those have a B3 mode. The little Korg and Roland were there, but something else caught my eye. They had a Korg Minilogue analog synth. I turned it on and started playing on it. It sounded good, but it seemed knob tweaks didn't always correspond to what the sound was doing. I then turned the Program knob, and they display said "Init Patch". I guess it either defaults to a "gee-whiz" patch or was on one when it was turned off. After doing this, stuff was behaving like it should. I think with that synth, Init Patch meant the preset was empty, and not a "blank slate" mode. Either way, It did what I needed. I was able to make something that sounded like the solo sound from ELP's Lucky Man. If only I knew how to play that. I'll be nice and give you a base to start with. I set one VCO to a square wave, and the other to either a triangle or sawtooth wave. I then set one or both VCOs slightly out of tune.
I then went down to Lees Summit. I again passed the big gun store, seeing as how late I was. I'm going to have to get off my ass earlier and go inside one time at least. I then went to the shopping center that had a flea market, and used to have a Salvation Army thrift store next door. Now, the flea market was gone. There was now some kind of used clothing(and some other things) store in the SA space. There was a sign inside about them buying clothes, so they weren't a thrift store, and most likely not a consignment store. The only other thing to mention was that the girl working there had a tattoo of writing on the top of her left boob, but I couldn't read what it said.
The next stop to mention was the music store. There didn't appear to be any used stuff there.
The next place to mention was the thrift store in Raytown. Thankfully it didn't smell like poo this time. There was a Labtech AM-22 microphone. I Googled it, and found out it is made for computers and tape recorders i.e. a cheap mic*. It looks like this: i753.photobucket.com/albums/xx172/ronrap2009/Misc_01/Labtec-AM-22-Microphone.jpg Labtech uses the same model name/number for a mic that looks completely different. That is kind of a retarded thing to do.
Also there was a Yamaha YPT-220. It had the original box, but I don't know what other accessories it had. I don't know how much it cost. There was also a Lowrey Micro Genie keyboard. It was a 49-key model. Since Lowrey is an organ company, I figured all the sounds sounded like ones you would find on an organ.
Then I went next door to the first of 3 Cash Americas. First I looked in the glass case. There wasn't a lot of interesting stuff. There was an Ibanez Tone-Lok pedal. I think it was the DS7 distortion. There was an ART SGE rack effects unit. There was also an Ampeg rack unit. I thought the model name was "Screwloose", but apparently some retard previous owner put that on there. I can't remember if that graphic covered up the model name or not. There was also a footcontoller from Line6. Here is a pic: d2ydh70d4b5xgv.cloudfront.net/images/1/0/line-6-fbv-express-mkii-fbvexp-guitar-amp-footswitch-377843ed8d45aee4eb7e47c2ccf41eb8.jpg
I guess I'll stop there for now. I'm going to watch 2 syndicated episodes of The Goldbergs now, then go to sleep.
*Looking at the image search results makes me wonder if the Audio Technica mic I bought many years ago is the same kind of deal.

Crap! I'm really late tonight! I was going to start typing while watching the SNL David S. Pumpkins special, but I felt like paying attention to it. I then was going to start while watching the SNL Halloween special, but I got majorly sidetracked. I then was going to start at midnight, but was again doing other stuff. It's now 12:35 as I look at the clock. I'll try to be fast since I also want to post some more about my trip.
I'll do the snacks afterward again.
Sat: I has a package of El Monterey burritos. They were the Chicken, Rice & Beans variety. I just call them chicken for short. I cooked 4 of them in the microwave, but didn't go by the instructions. I put them in a while at 50% power to "defrost them, then I put them at full power for a little bit to cook the through. They were good. I've had them before, but this was the first time at my own house. Also, this was the first time I tried something different with the other 4. I put them in a while to defrost them also. Then, I put them in my pot of canola oil to deep fry them. I only put one in at a time so they would lay flat in the fryer basket. I cooked them until the tortilla crisped. Except for maybe the very first one, the seam opened up and the meat bulged out, but I don't think the meat came off. These were also good. I have another bag with another variety in the freezer. I may try the same thing with half of them. I do know it is a bit of a pain, and takes longer than just doing them in the microwave.
Sun: I had a box of Wheat Thins. They were the Sundried Tomato & Basil flavor. They were good, but I don't know if they tasted like sundried tomato and/or basil.
Mon: I made my fried potatoes and veggies. I'm mad at myself for not thinking. I had 8 potatoes left in the current bag. I thought I'll take 4 for that night, and leave the other 4 for next time. I forgot that that I wanted to do an experiment that needed only 2 potatoes. If I had only taken 3, I would have had 5 left; 2 for the experiment, and 3 for another meal of fried potatoes. Well, I do have 2 more bags, so running out isn't a problem; it's just that I like to end one item and start a new one for a meal. I think one reason I used 4 potatoes was that there would be more there, since the potatoes shrink up when cooked after being shredded. I think I used smaller potatoes, since it seemed there was the same amount of food in the pan when I was done. I used everything in the pan except the mustards. The meal was good. I also had it with my 3 items. Those were good too.
I have a meat item to review. I had half a package of salami(I don't know if was a specific variety, and I'm not going to find the package) from the brand Land O'Frost. I had it plain, and with my 3 mustards. It was ok with the mustards, but was really good plain.
Tue: I made my fried rice and veggies. I used everything in the pan except the mustards. The meal was good. I also had it with my 3 items. Those were good too.
For my meat item, I had the other half of the salami. The rest is the same as Mon.
Wed: I made my veggie fajitas. For spices/condiments, I used black pepper, red pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, paprika, Sriracha, and Sriracha water. They were good.
Thu: See Wed.
Fri: I bought stuff at a grocery store. I won't review the food; I want to talk about something else. Since I knew I was goin to eat late(maybe 7am Sat actually), I put the food in the fridge. When I wanted to eat, I wanted the food warm. I didn't need it hot, just that it wasn't cold. I put the oven on the lowest temp, 170F. The reason I set it that low was that I wanted to use the plastic containers the food came in. Even though I left 2 things in there for quite a while, they didn't really get warm. The plastic containers(more like square plates) curled and warped. I don't know if that is due to being too close to the walls/door, since I had multiple items in there. I had 2 containers of soup. I put one on a plate in the oven, so it wouldn't sit directly on the rack. In case the container melted, I wouldn't have soup in the oven. Even though it was in there a long time, the soup didn't really get warm, even though the plate was hot. At least the container didn't melt. For the other container, I put that in the microwave a bit. I guess it did get a bit warm, and the container didn't melt. I also bought a slice of pizza, that came in a triangular cardboard box. I put the whole deal in the oven. That was in there quite a while. The results were better. The pizza was warm and soft. If I decide to do this next time I have this grocery food, I'll put in my frying pan and put that in the oven at a higher temp. If I get a carryout pizza before then, I'll maybe keep the box and use that. I guess I'll do the soups in the microwave. I don' know what I'll do with Chinese dishes.
Now for the snacks.
I forgot to mention last week that I finished the box of shredded wheat and the summer sausage. I opened up my last box of sw and sancked on that throughout the week. I also opened up a new summer sausage that I've been snacking on also. I'll discuss that next.
For the summer sausage, it was from Simms, like the previous one. This time, it was the Beef variety. When I opened up the package, there was a bunch of water inside. I drank what I didn't spill. It was good. As for the taste of the sausage, it was good, but I think the regular variety is better.
I made a package of Maruchan ramen. It was the Lime Chili Shrimp flavor. It was good.
I had a can of Pringles. They were the Sour Cream & Onion flavor. They were good. I need to check though my posts and see which flavors I've already reviewed so I might quit reviewing them. Same with the Lay's Stax.
I had a bag of potato chips from Kettle Brand. They were the Chili Lime cooked in avocado oil. They were good, but I don't think I tasted any of those flavors. I think there was a little bit of heat.
I think I had a can of Vienna sausages from Great Value. I think that is another food item I will stop reviewing unless I have another brand and/or other flavor.
I had a box of Nabisco Chicken in a Biskit crackers. This is an item I don't review, but I do have a reason this time. There was something off about them. I think they weren't cooked long enough. I checked the expiration date, and they were still good.
Tonight I had a bag of snacks from the TGI Fridays brand. They are Party Bites(think small cheese puffs). They are Buffalo Ranch flavor. They weren't bad, but there wasn't enough buffalo flavor.
I have to go back a few days for another item. It was the 2nd snack I bought at the Asian store. The best I can describe it as is squid jerky. The bag contained a bunch of little packets. Each packet contained a tiny squid. The squids were rather firm, not super-chewy like actual jerky is. Also, they weren't dry like jerky. They were really good. The flavor tastes like what an Asian flavor of jerky would be. I think they should use the flavoring for jerky. The package indicated that these were super hot. There was a decent amount of heat, but it mainly resided on my lips and the back of my mouth. As for the package, the only English text was the website: www.jueyifood.com The site was Chinese, and didn't seem to have an English version. The sticker on the bag had an ingredients list, and the distributor name, Midwest International Corp.
That is all for now. I'll have stuff to review for "tonight's" meal. I'm going to type up some more trip stuff now. Be back in a bit.

Ok, This is some more trip stuff. But before I continue, I have 2 items to discuss:
1) NONE of the thrift stores had organs.
2) I forgot to mention something. The first stop after Guitar Center was a thrift store. There was a guitar amp there that looked to have 24.98 written on the top, which I assume is the price. The brand was Stone, and the model was SGA-10. The interesting thing was that it had 2 gain knobs. There were no switches, and only 1 input jack, so you have to turn the knobs up to use them, unless they are push-pull. I wonder what would happen if you used them both at the same time.
Now back to the actual timeline. I last left off at the Raytown CA after looking at the keyboards.
It seemed there were less guitars this time, and almost all of them looked scuzzy. There were only two I notated. One was an Indonesian Squire. The other was an LTD with hs pu config. I think this was the one where the single coil pu was slanted. If so, it may have been an M II Deluxe or MH 327.
All the amps were small. The only ones I notated were a pair of Peavey Rage 158. There was also a slightly bigger Peavey amp. Well, there might have been a Fender Champion 100 there also. There was also an amp head from Dime Amplification for only $192. It is based on the Randall head that Dimebag Darrell used.
There was an accordion for $200 near the guitars.
I then went to see the guitars behind the counter. I only notated a few. There was a Squire, but I didn't ask where it was made There was a fancy looking LTD with an hh pu configuration and a hardtail bridge. There was also a strat by a company called Kona. I don't know what the price was, but I think they make stuff at different price levels. There was also a flute.
Next up is the pawn shop that is easy to miss. They had a flute and accordion. For keyboards, there was a Casio CTK-2400. There was an M-Audio controller. There was also a mini Yamaha. For guitars and amps, it looked like they had pretty much the same stuff. The funny shaped Ibanez was gone though. I think the other stuff may have been the same as my previous trip.
The next place to mention was the hole in the wall pawn shop. There were 2 autoharps. For amps, there was an EVH combo for $1099. For keyboards, there was a Casio 76-key model, and some controller. I think a bunch of guitars were there previously. I notated a Jackson, squires an Ibanez with hh pu and a hardtail, and an Epiphone ES-330 or 335. There was an interesting gun. It was a MAC-10 copy for $432. It had a fake suppressor(not silencer), which I think is totally stupid.
I then stopped at the "piss break" thrift store where I found nothing, but took my traditional piss.
The next stop was the new pawn shop that I visited on 12/29. There was an LTD guitar, but I don't remember which model. There was also a Gibson LP Studio for $999. It had a fancy blue finish. For amps, there was a Fender Bassman 300 Pro head sitting on its side. I think it had the modern squarish logo.
I think I'll stop there and finally eat. I'll maybe start up again Sun night.

I'm back. So I will get to typing now.
When I left off, I was at that "new" pawn shop.
For keyboards, there were 3. There was a Kurzweil SP-76 and a Roland RD-700 digital pianos. There was also a Casio CZ-5000 synth from the 80's for $299.
Then I looked at the stuff in the glass counter. They had a Line6 Pocket Pod. They had 2 fx pedals from Digitech's HardWire line. One was the DL-8 Delay/Looper, and the other was the RV-7 Stereo Reverb. They did have an ART MP preamp. It was the Tube MP Studio, and they only wanted $37 for it. There was also a Peavey 6505 Piranha micro amp.
On the way to the next pawn shop, there is a gun shop I've been in a few times. I was going too fast, and didn't feel like hitting the brakes to pull in the parking lot, and didn't want to turn around.
Next up was the 2nd Cash America. There were quite a few guitars behind the counter, and in 2 different places. First near the door, there were 2 Epiphone LPs, one a lefty. There was also a Yamaha Superstrat with a hs config. It might be an RGX 211M like this one: bp0.blogger.com/_3trZtGhz51U/SGLGWnF-oaI/AAAAAAAAAQk/54MKg8WGM3o/s400/Img_4764.jpg In the other area behind the counter, there was a Squier strat that I think was from Indonesia. There was some Mitchell guitar. The only thing I recall about it is that it was white. There were 2 Chinese Squiers. One had a hss pu config, and was $499. I don't remember the pu config of the other one, but it was $299. In the main area, there was another Chinese Squier with a hss pu config for $274. I did play on this unplugged. It sounded good.
For amps, there was some model of Dean Markley amp. I think it was a K-30RX.
They had 5 keyboards. 3 were Yamahas, the other 2 Casios. One had 76 keys and was $130 and the other had 88 keys and was $249.
In one glass case, there was a Zoom mutlifx unit. I don't recall if it was from the 505 series.
I then went to the Salvation Army. There was a Casio Concertmate 950.
At another nearby thrift store, there were 2 kiddie kb; one was a Technobeat.
I think I'll stop there for now and have my meal. See you next time.

F U C K !!!!!!!
I had a really bad week! I need to make each letter in a giant font and give it its own post. Let me copy and paste some stuff from my post on Nextdoor about what happened:
I was actually on my way to Liberty to see my parents. All of a sudden, the engine light came on, and the car wouldn't accelerate. Thankfully, there was no one to my right, and the NB exit(which I use to go home actually) was right there, so I took it. I got in the left turn lane and stopped since the light was red. I thought that maybe if I stopped the car and turned off the ignition, it would start back up, and I could at least get it home. Before I stopped, I was hoping the light would turn green and I could get out onto NB, and at least get it into the church parking lot, or the bank, if the car had enough momentum. It wouldn't turn over. If I had known that, I would have gone into the right turn lane and hopefully made the turn and gone into the FD parking lot. I would think the firefighters would have helped push my car to a place in their parking lot that was out of their way.
I walked home and called a tow truck. He came and got the key. He then came back saying it was gone.
I had called the police to let them know my car was there, and I was coming to get it. They took my phone number.
After the tow guy came back, I called them again to tell them my car was gone. They filled out a report. I then posted about this on Nextdoor. Somebody replied that they saw a Motorist Assist truck behind my car and a tow truck in front of it. I called the police back and let them know that MA might have had it towed.
I got a call a few minutes after 1am(I was still awake anyway) and they said my car was recovered. They said it was recovered at I35 & NB, which is actually where I had left it. Anyways, it is now at the Front St tow lot, and I will go and get it towed to the dealership early Thur.
The woman I talked to from KCPD said the tow lot opened at 8am. When checking Google Maps, I read that it opened at 9am, and I was like "uh oh". I called my parents and told them my car was found and I would need a ride to the tow lot. At 8am, I called the tow lot number. It transferred me to the 311 call center. The lady I talked to told me they opened at 9am, and I would need my car title(along with drivers license and $). Thankfully I found the title right away. Later, I called my dad, and he took me over to the tow lot. I went in and got it taken care of, costing me $265. I then called the tow company. I waited a long time for them to come. I then saw what looked like the massive flatbed that came the day before coming down the entranceway. I went outside and walked toward it. Another tow truck came from the company I called and the driver said he was there for me. The other truck(and driver) was the same from Wed, but he was there for someone else. I got in the tow truck, and he got my car. On the way over to Blue Springs Ford(where I bought the car), the driver told me they were swamped with accidents that morning(probably due to the mist making roads slick). I then got to BSF around 11am, and paid the tow guy. Later, the BSF service rep told me it would take a while to diagnose/fix my car, so he told me to get a rental car and leave. I did so, and went to my parents house. I called the service rep at 3pm, and he said my car would be ready at 4:30pm. He said the fuel pump had burnt out I left my parents a little bit after 3:30, and got back to BSF a little after 4pm. The service rep guy said my car just got finished. I then went and paid my bill of over $1100, and then went home.
As for the fuel pump, that was my fault. A while back, I heard on the news that gas prices were going down, even going under $2. I remember that one day I saw that gas was something like $2.08, and I was going to get gas the next day. Then on that day, the price jumped WAAAAAY up. I just decided to get a little bit. Since prices never really went down, and when they did, they would jump even higher(eg up to $2.39 on Halloween), I continued just getting a little bit of gas. This meant I was often driving around with less than 1/4 of a tank. I have heard you need more than 1/4 of a tank to keep the pump cool. I figured since the weather has not been extremely hot, this wouldn't be a problem. The BSF service rep also told me the gas also keeps the pump lubricated. He said there was less than a gallon in my tank(even though the gage and the "distance to empty" on the car computer said otherwise.
That is actually relevant in that my meals were affected by that.
Before I get to the past week, I have toad something. The week before, I forgot to list a snack. It was a bag of Harvest Snaps Snapea Crisps by Calbee. They were the Caesar flavor. They were good, but I don't know if they tasted like Caesar salad. They did sometimes taste like peas.
Now I'll get to the current stuff. I'll list the snacks with the meals as it is a bit easier this time, and will make more sense. I also had shredded wheat and summer sausage on many of these days
Sat: The main component of my meal was 2 cans of Progresso soup. They were the Beef Pot Roast and were good. I also had a box of Keebler Town House Focaccia crackers. They were the Tuscan Cheese variety. They were really good. I have to remember to get more when they go on sale.
Sun: I had a box of Triscuits. They were the Roasted Garlic flavor. They were good.
Mon: For my snack, I had a smallish bag of Takis that I got from Dollar Tree. They were the Xplosion flavor. They were good, but the cheese flavor was a bit much. There was some hotness.
I made my fried potato and veggies. I did make a change this time. Instead of adding all my spices/condiments to the pan, I only added a spice I recently bought, turmeric. The meal was ok both alone and with my 3 items. I'm thinking I didn't taste the turmeric much.
I have to mention the meat item this time. It was a can of sardines that I bought at Dollar Tree. They are a brand called Sunny Sea. They came in brine. They were ok. I would probably have like them better if they used at least oil in the can instead of brine.
I do have another item of interest. When I came home from work the next day, when I walked through the door, I thought it smelled a bit like BO in the house. I soon figured out that was the turmeric from the night before. That makes me think of why a certain country has a negative stereotype of having a BO problem. Turmeric is a major component of curry powder, so maybe other people are just smelling curry on a person(and/or patchouli, another BO-ish scent).
Tue: For my snack, I had a bag of store-brand Cheetos. They were supposed to be the equivalent to the Flamin Hot Cheetos. The3y have a good flavor, even though they aren't really hot, unlike the actual Cheetos. I did know this going in, and is why I still have another bag.
For the actual meal, I made my fried rice and veggies, only using turmeric in the pan. It was much better alone than the potatoes. I used my 3 items, but don't recall what I thought of them.
The next day, I could taste the turmeric when burping. It was good, except when I was eating Oreos, candy and mini-cupcakes leftover from the Halloween party at work the day before.
Wed: Nothing. See top of post for why.
Thu: Due to my car issues, I was so worn out, I didn't have an actual meal. I snacked on stuff instead.
After leaving the dealership and gassing up my car, I went to the McDonald's right there. I was mostly intending to get the chicken tenders. I saw that hey still had the Sriracha sandwiches in the Signature Series. I got the crispy chicken on a sesame seed bun. It was good, and there was some heat from the Sriracha. There were a lot of fried onions left in the container. I would not buy this again because it was $$$$. I ate this on the way over to Arby's. I was going to ask about the deer meat sandwiches* but I forgot. I looked at the menu board, and saw a sandwich that wasn't advertised on tv, which I'll get to in a bit. Since it was 4:55pm the $1 sliders deal was still in effect, so I got one. It was the Buffalo Chicken. I ate this in the car on the drive home. It was good. There was some heat. I'm almost 100% sure I had a brain fart and intended to get a Pizza Slider instead. After getting home and doing some stuff, I ate the other things I got at Arby's. One thing was a large order of curly fries. They were good. The other item was a sandwich called The Gobbler. It is made of deep fried turkey, bacon, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, honey mustard sauce, cranberry sauce between two slices of wheat bread. I thought it was pretty good, but in some places, the cranberry sauce was too prominent. I thought the mustard sauce was gravy. I won't get this again, since it was even more $$$$ than the McD's sandwich. I was originally going to get the Cajun Deep Fried Turkey Sandwich. Later that night, I had a can of Sour Cream & Onion Lay's Stax, which were good.
*I Googled the deer sandwiches, and they were only available on Oct 20.
Fri: I went crazy on snacks. First I had some chicken tenders I got at Wendy's. They were good, both plain and with the Awesome Sauce. The Awesome Sauce looks like buffalo sauce, but tasted like bbq sauce. It did have some heat though. I was intending to eat these right after I got home, but I got home rather later than expected, which I may explain in the next post. I ate these later, so they cooled off. After those, I ate a chicken sandwich I got at Burger King. It was the Chicken Parmesan. It was ok. I think it would have tasted better if it was warmer. Later that night, I had a bag of Clancy's microwave popcorn. Like I said before, I think the flavor is Movie Theater Butter. I was just in the kitchen and forgot to look at the box. This time I didn't burn it. I only had it in the microwave for 1:41. I think there were only a few unpopped kernels. It was good. I did try a few pieces with canola oil.
As for the meal itself, it was fried rice and veggies. When I cooked the rice, I put some of the crab boil stuff in the water. The crab boil stuff was the only spice/condiment I put in the pan. When the stuff was almost done, I added a can of clams to the pan. They were StarKist Selects Chopped Atlantic Sea Clams. There seemed to be more clans in the can than the previous brand I used. Also, the liquid tasted better. I had a few straight out of the can, and I don't know if they tasted better than the previous ones. The meal was good both by itself, and with my 3 items. I could taste the clams. I was super late and actually ate this at 10am Sat morning.
The meat item was the other can of Sunny Sea sardines. They tasted better than the other can. These were also in brine. One or two or so bite tasted a bit like tuna.
Sat: First, I finished the shredded wheat except for the bunch of crumbs left in the bag. I'll probably have those Mon. I also had a few pieces of summer sausage. Right now I am eating a can of Pringles Loud chips. They are the Spicy Queso flavor, the only one I hadn't tried previously. They are ok. They have a bit of spiciness to them. There is some cheese taste, but it varied from chip to chip.
I will have my meal later. I will only have 1 thing to review from it.
Starting next Tue, I plan on snacking on Halloween candy. My mom bought a fuckton; some before Halloween, and the rest the day after since it was marked down; making for a total of 11 bags. I won't be reviewing it.
I'm going to hopefully finish up my pawn.... trip below.
Sayonara!

I'll see if I can fish up tonight.
My next stop was the pawn shop that I discovered when driving west on that street. I think there was only 1 guitar behind the counter. It was a Michael Kelly. I think the model was a Patriot Custom. There were a bunch of guitars in the main area. There were 2 Chinese Squiers. There was a hollowbody tele by Luna Guitars. There was a Harmony LP that looked a bit smaller than it should. I think it had a set neck though. There were 2 Dean MLs(Dimebag shape), one with 8 strings. There were a ton of Casiahas, including 3 76-key Casios. In a glass case, there was an Alesis Nanoverb, and 3 fx pedals: Digitech Bass Squeezer(bass compressor), Danelectro Tuna Melt(tremolo), Zoom 505(multifx).
Then was the crazy pawn shop. There was a BC Rich KKV, lefty Ibanez, and Jackson which I think were there before. There was a Squier. There was also a Dean from the EVO series. There were 2 accordions. There weren't any interesting guns.
The final stop was the third Cash America. While there were a bunch of guitars in the main area, the only interesting ones were behind the counter. There were 2 Dean Razorbacks. There were 2 LTD's from the EC series. There was an Epi 335 and an Ibanez 335. There was an AXL guitar from the Headliner series. There was a Peavey Backstage Chorus 208(the model I have). There was also an AXL bass amp for $79. There were 4 Casiahas. There were 2 autoharps. There was a lap steel from a company that makes budget gear. I think it was rogue.

Friday, I visited the "strip club" pawn shop. Right inside the door was a Marshall Woburn. I had to Google it, and found out it was a Bluetooth speaker and not an amp. I actually saw this when I was leaving. Near that was the Pignose Hog 20. For some reason I'm thinking there was a Luna Guitars amp there, even though I didn't notate one. For guitars, there was a strat copy that had a brand name that I though was a subsidiary of Behringer, so I didn't notate it. There was a Washburn strat with hss pu config and a Kramer Striker superstrat, also hss. There was an LTD F-10. There was an Epi LP Jr and SG Jr, each with 1 bridge hb. There was also an Epi LP Special II. For keyboards, there was a Casio WK-1630, and a Yamaha Reface DX for $350. For fx pedals, there was a Line6 Uber Metal, Behringer Ultra Metal, and BOSS Power Driver. There was also a Digitech Element multieffects pedal. For amps, there was an acoustic 4x10 bass cabinet. I have it notated as 140, but I think the model is B410. There was also an SWR Big Bertha bass cab for only $149. There was an Ampeg B500DR bass amp head for $400. There was a Dr. Z combo for $1299. They had 2 or 3 Crate amps, including one that seemed to have similar specs to my Peavey. Speaking of Peavey, they had a Vypyr combo, and some older small combo, maybe a Rage158. I've previously posted about 3 old heads there. I finally wrote down the models. First is a PA-400. It is actually a 6 channel PA amp. Next is a Century. It appears that it might be able to handle all types of instruments, which would suit me. The final one, which was right near the door is a 260 Series. This appears to be a monitor amp. It is only a power amp, but maybe you can run synths through it.

This week was a bit crazy, but not as bad as the previous one. I'll list the snacks after the meals.
Sat: I had only reviewable item. It was a bag of Clancy's Pretzel Thins. They were the Everything variety. I didn't really like them. The main issue is that they are too thin, so the texture feels off to me. One of the things in the "everything" category is caraway seeds. They give the chips a rye bread flavor. The general flavor was kind of odd. Due to the caraway seeds, I think these might be good to put pastrami on. With a few other things, you can make a Reuben appetizer.
Sun: I Had a bag of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish. They were the Pizza Xplosion flavor. They were good. My only gripe is that you get screwed in the amount; there are only 6oz in a bag, while the "normal" flavors have 8.
Mon: This was another experiment. I made my fried potatoes and veggies. I only used 2 potatoes. The only thing I added to the pan was half a can of Las Palmas medium enchilada sauce. I had the stuff on 5 flour tortillas. They weren't that great. I had one plain, one with pepper, one with red pepper flakes, one with Sriracha, and one with a combo of all 3. They didn't seem any better than the plain one.
Tue: I made my rice and veggies. I only cooked half a cup of rice. I put the other half of the enchilada sauce in the pan. I had this on the other 5 flour tortillas. Tortillas 1-4 were the same as Mon, but the last one was only pepper and red pepper. I don't think I could really taste this stuff. As for the general taste, they were pretty good, much better than the potato version. I may make these again, but I have to remember to only have them with the rice.
Wed: I made my fried rice and veggies. When I cooked the rice, I added some of the crab boil spices to the water. I also added that to the pan. It was good plain. I also had my 3 items, which were also good.
Thu: I went to Arby's. They are doing the 2 for $6 French Dip sandwich promotion now. I got 4 of those. I also got 2 orders of onion rings. Everything was good, despite the fact that everything was cold and sitting around for a long time since I was busy doing stuff.
Fri: I had a desert meal. I'll do it in list form egg nog: It came from a brand called Hiland. It was ok. It seemed a bit thin, and the flavor was a bit subdued. It was only a quart, but I didn't finish it. peanut butter: It was a store brand. It was ok. I ate all but a teaspoon or so of it. cookies and cream: This came from the grocery store cold food counter. It was good. I ate just about all of it. pudding: It was Walmart's Great Value brand. It was good. I ate 6 of the 8 containers. cereal: This was the store brand of Cinnamon Toast Crunch called Cinnamon Sugar bites. They were ok. I ate all but about somewhere between 1 and 2 cups. I got a really late start, and didn't start eating until between 8:30 and 9am Sat. I was tired by then, and I think the food would have tasted better to me if I had eaten earlier.
Now for the snacks I have.
I was going to start snacking on the Halloween candy on Tue, and have some every day after. I had some Wed, Fri, and Sat. I didn't have any Tue, and I don't think I had any Thu.
I had a jar of Fisher honey roasted peanuts. They were good. I wasn't planning on finishing the whole jar, but it's easy to eat a bunch in one sitting.
When I was at ALDI, I saw they had plain shredded wheats under the Simply Nature brand, so I bought a box. The first thing I noticed when I opened the box was that they were different than the store-brand. The store-brand ones are like the Post originals, and smooth: img.mensjournal.com/920-width/mj-618_348_post-shredded-wheat-healthiest-store-bought-cereals.jpg The ALDI ones are rough on the outside, like the frosted versions: static.checkiday.com/img/1200/frosted-shredded-wheat-1325771.jpg They don't seem to taste as good as the store-brand ones. I'm kind of thinking that is somehow related to the physical characteristic of them. I'm thinking I will get used to the taste.
I also had some slices of summer sausage.
Sun I finished up a jar of peanut butter. It was creamy from Skippy. It was good. I think I have another jar, which I should have had for my "Fri" meal.
Mon I had a bag of croutons from Mrs. Cubbison's. They were the Cheese & Garlic flavor. They actually tasted like cheese and garlic. That being said, somehow I don't like them as much as the regular flavor.
On Tue, I had a package of Maruchan ramen noodles. They were the Roast Chicken flavor. They were good.
I also had something I got from the Asian store. The container said Crispy Tiny Shrimp, and that's what they are. They are so tiny, that when they were cooked, they got flat. I didn't think they were that good. I think if they used different spices, I would have liked them.
Thu I had a bag of Clancy's pork rinds. They were the Hot & Spicy flavor. They were good. They seemed to get hotter the further down I went in the bag. The crumbs in the bottom of the bag were really hot.
Tonight, besides some candy, I finished up the stuff that I had left over from my "Fri" meal.
I guess that's it for now. I think I'll take a nap for a bit then have my meal, which will be another experiment.
