Awwww yeeeaaahhh, Steven's back! I thought this day would never come. He is the Hoenn Champion now in the anime, huh? Interesting. I guess Wallace decided to retire or then he lost the title to Steven in a battle. I really hope they will explain it in the special, even if only briefly. Wallace was mentioned to be the Hoenn Champion during the Wallace Cup in Sinnoh, after all.

I can't believe Steven got shafted like that in the Advance series, just because he wasn't the Champion when Emerald came. Now, Serena's Pancham plush:

Looks like the sunglasses Serena's game character design has is given to that Pancham.
Awesome.

I 'd love it if Luxio joins Clemont on his journey, it would be nice for him to have a Electric-type while travelling with his other Electric Pokémon being at his Gym. But Clemont does occasionally command Dedenne in battle as it's his Pokémon, but Dedenne is mainly with Bonnie, in her handbag, so we don't see that much.

Ah, so Korrina does have other Pokémon than just Lucario. That's good, but then why the heck didn't she use them against Team Rocket during her time with the twerps, when Mega Lucario hadn't yet mastered its Aura? I think it's very stupid for any character to use only one Pokémon in a long period of time. Team Squirtle made the same mistake by only showing off their starters during the summer camp arc even though we know for certain that at least Shauna has more than one Pokémon. I want to see more full teams, damnit! Right now I'm having more nasty Unova League flashbacks - we never got to see Bianca and Stephan's full teams either!
Anyway, the latest episode was pretty awesome. It was great to see Korrina again. The dancing part could have been better, but everything that took place in the Tower of Mastery was top-notch. I can't wait to see the episode with subtitles, so I'll know what exactly was the anti-climax that made the twerps and Korrina pratfall at the end of the episode. I bet it was something hilarious or stupid, possibly both. Oh, and I also really liked the Mega Evolution thingy after the credits. Swampert is my favorite Pokémon and I got to see my first glimpse of a Mega Swampert in the anime. That's another thing I'm looking forward to seeing in the second Mega Evolution special.

Shauna's other Pokémon are; a Gothita, Swirlix and a Flabébé with an orange Fairy Flower. Other things, Steven has a shiny Metagross:- Look closely at the poster on the right, you will notice it features the main cast's team and among them is a Luxio which means, yes, Luxio will be travelling with Clemont. I'm so happy, it's one of the coolest Electric Pokémon - and will be even more so when it evolves - also nobody should complain about this as Clemont will be using an Electric-type more (and not just sometimes; that's Dedenne). I am perfectly fine with Clemont's other Electric Pokémon staying at his Gym now.

I'm cool with Luxio joining Clemont's party. I wonder if he will use it against Ash in their Lumiose Gym battle?

Two new captures coming soon for Serena and Clemont. With these, there will probably be a new opening and ending in October or the opening is just edited. Edit:- And a new ending was announced. The name is "DreaDrea" and it's sung by Shoko Nakagawa, it'll start at 16th October and the focus of it is on Serena.

Full summary for XY045- Details on the ending have been added. "The girliest song made for the Pokémon anime thus far"? .....That's something. As long as it doesn't include lyrics like "she cries because she's a girl" then I'm sure it will be safe from sexist complaints.

The postponed XY episode - XY024: "The Undersea Castle! Kuzumo and Dramidoro!!" - will finally be airing in Japan on 20th November. Reminder this is not the first time a delayed episode was aired later, this has happened since the Kanto series of the Pokémon anime.

The new episode was almost perfect. I say "almost", because the one thing I didn't like was how utterly useless Korrina's Mienfoo and Machoke turned out to be. I had a feeling that they would lose quickly without taking out any of Ash's Pokémon, but I kept hoping that I'd be wrong. So yeah, once again a member of the Machop evolutionary line got its ass kicked. I hate it when that happens. I mean, come on, even Mienfoo lasted longer against Hawlucha than Machoke did against Fletchinder. I guess Ash simply must have trained those two better in the few weeks he's had them than Korrina has trained her Mienfoo and Machoke in all the years she's probably had them. Seeing as she only trained her Lucario in all the time she spent with the twerps, I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.
Team Rocket's role in the episode was somewhat pointless, but at least they gave the other twerps something to do. Now that Serena's finally starting to get into battling, it's good that she's getting more experience even if she's only beating up Team Rocket's Pokémon most of the time. Hey, it worked for Pikachu for years.
Mega Lucario showed its Mega-ness by beating Fletchinder and Hawlucha like I knew it would, and its battle against Pikachu was also pretty amazing. It's quite obvious that Pikachu beat it because Ash had had plenty of time to see Mega Lucario battle and he had figured out how to counter its moves. Also, he finally realized that when you're battling a Steel-type, you don't only use moves like Quick Attack and Iron Tail against it. I still don't know what the hell Ash was thinking when he battled Korrina for the first time. Anyway, now Pikachu finally has one victory over a Lucario. Woohoo.
Oh, and Tierno's rhythm strategy turned out to be useless when used by Ash. Who knew.
