Two new summaries for XY&Z037- We already found out Alan has a Bangiras and Manyula in a previous episode guide, so only his fifth and sixth Pokémon are currently unknown. The animation in the second half Satoshi vs. Shouta was amazing, it was done by the same person who animated Saotshi's Gym battle against Citron. So my thoughts on Satoshi possible winning this League? I will be happy that it finally happened (I mean in a League from a region that's in the main series Pokémon games) but also disappointed as this isn't the greatest Pokémon League arc. That still belongs to the Shin'ō League were every single battle was great, while in the Kalos League we didn't get a good battle until Satoshi versus Shouta. Also I would have preferred Satoshi to win in a Pokémon League were his past friends and rivals in other regions are watching as it would add to the amazement. How wonderful it'll be to see them cheer and smile at Satoshi's win.

If nothing else though winning a conventional league would make the transition to the non-traditional Alola region smoother in a sense.
Heck, if it were me I would have some character actively seek out and invite Ash to the Alola region in recognition of his accomplishments in Kalos.

If there actually aren't going to be any Gym Battles in the Alola Region, that could be the reason for Satoshi winning the Kalos League. IF he wins that is.
....You know what, despite what I just said; this is good enough. It will be about fucking time Satoshi won a game-region Pokémon League, great or not.
Heck, I think most of us will even except Saotshi winning a Pokémon League by defeating a Koiking as his final opponent. We will take what we're given.

Full summary and voice cast for XY&Z037- XY&Z036 screenshots: filb.de/anime/xyz/036 and XY&Z037 preview video: filb.de/anime/xyz/037So it turns out Pikachu's Song is not a one-time ending, but it is in fact a new ending all together, replacing Puni-chan's Song. And I'm glad, because not only is it super cute, it's about Pikachu singing about his love for ketchup! Yes, they finally brought that back.

So, about the Pikachu song. Allow me to bring Hell's climate down to unmeasurable coldness by saying that I liked it and thought it was cute.

So you might have noticed that part of the Pikachu speak gets translated to humans speech in Pikachu's Song. Here are the English lyrics for the TV version-

XY&Z040: The Shocking Zygarde VS Zygarde! The Breaking World!! XY&Z041: Attack on Miare Gym! The Citroid Forever!! Thank god the writers didn't fuck up and push Citron to the sidelines for the Flare Gang and Zygarde arc, Miare City is his home town. I'm excited for this arc.

As many are speculating, we may see Clembot end up destroyed in that episode or with long-term damage, leading to Clemont having to return to his gym leader duties.

I thought the movie wasn't doing all that well? Regardless, I think they planned to have Perfect Zygarde play a important role in the story from the start given how it appears in the opening.

I can't wait for subs for XY&Z36, because it seemed like a very important plot episode. That said, XY&Z37 was way better! I had a feeling that Ash wouldn't have a very hard time against Alain's team because we've only ever seen him use two Pokémon before and I'm glad I was right! Pikachu was a total monster and I loved every second of it. Tyranitar went down like a bitch! Metagross put up a better fight, but it was no match against Pikachu either and if that wasn't enough, Pikachu even got a chance to do super-effective damage against Charizard before he will inevitably lose in the next episode. The Pikachu who OHKO'd Regice and tied with Latios is BACK! I was actually hoping that Alain's Weavile would get one win before losing and I got that wish granted too. Of course I want Ash to win the battle, but Weavile is one of my favorite Pokémon and they usually tend to lose in the anime, so I wanted to see a Weavile win a battle for once. However, I didn't want Weavile to beat Hawlucha, because Hawlucha needs more wins too. You can probably imagine how happy I was when that wish came true as well! Seriously, I can't think of anything that didn't go the way I wanted in that episode. Too bad for Noivern, but it did its best and I absolutely loved how Hawlucha popped out and swore to avenge his son/student/bro. I just can't figure out why he started glowing red and smoking during the battle. Seriously, what was that? Guillotine should be a banned move in the anime like Earthquake. Fuck Alain for using a Thunder Wave/Guillotine moveset on his Bisharp. Hawlucha would have won that battle easily if it weren't for that damn combo. Oh well, I bet Goodra will manage to beat it with its Rain Dance/Hydration combo. Talonflame versus Unfezant was beautiful to watch. We haven't seen a lot of aerial battles in the anime and certainly none as fast-paced as that battle. I'm kinda surprised that Talonflame and Unfezant could hear their Trainers at all since they were flying so high and so fast. Anyway, I had a feeling that Ash and Alain's battle would have at least one draw, so I'm glad it was this one. Talonflame already had a win in Ash's battle against Sawyer, so let's hope that Goodra will get a win this time in the next episode. In short, the latest episode was fucking perfect. A+, 10/10. The only way the next one can top it is by having Ash win, and for the first time in 19 years, Ash actually has a chance! His team is the best he's ever had and he himself is better than he's ever been. This. I would also be fine with a completely new protagonist, because let's face it, the XY series will be pretty damn hard to top. Agreed. If Ash stays the main character, he still might take part in the Island Challenge and beat the four Trial Captains, but he kinda already did that in the Orange Islands. Also, I think the real problem with Kalos League is the lack of battles, not the quality of battles. The only bad battle so far was Alain versus Trevor. Tierno versus Sawyer was just fine IMO. Who are you and what have you done to Ryu?! There have been very few fuck-ups in this series, so why should the villain arc have any? I trust Serena will actively fight against Team Flare as well, and Bonnie might be the one who saves Squishy. That makes sense. Apparently!
