I see your point, but my opinion is different. Personally, I have a soft spot for Pokemon that both look strong and are strong. I also get attracted to Pokemon that look cool, but are not particularly strong, and I become more than happy when they get a chance to shine, (like Charizard in this Generation), as well as Pokemon who have a good personality and backstory (Charizard never attacking a weaker opponent unless provoked, Lucario having a strong sense of justice, Pangoro not putting up with bullying, despite its violent temperament, Pokemon that can tear your flesh apart, but prefer not to do so, like Dragonite etcetera). Pokemon who combine all the aforementioned criteria tend to be among my favourites.

I couldn't care less about "Cutiemon", and I absolutely hate plainly stupid Pokemon, from Drowzee, Hypno, Magnemite and Magneton to Cherubi, Combee, the Vanillite evolutionary line, the Klink evolutionary line, Swirlix, Slurpuff, Klefki, and FUCKING ROTOM. Also, I hate filler Pokemon (babies, anyone?), that were created for the sole purpose of filling pages on the Pokedex, or some worthless novelties, and useless clones. Of course, we are talking about fictional creatures-it goes without saying that I would happily raise each one of them if they were real, but, once again, I digress.

My point is, Lucario is a Pokemon that looks strong, is even stronger, and has a natural sense of justice-it is almost like a superhero! It is kind of designed to be like that, so this is why it just doesn't look right to me when I see a Lucario with a colourful personality.

It would be good indeed for Ash to have a Lucario as well, but Lucario is a bit too badass for him. Also, Ash has already two of the most popular Pokemon in the franchise in his possession (Pikachu and Charizard), both of which have gotten too much screen time, anyway, and having a Lucario would be plain ridiculous at this point. Everything would revolve around Pikachu, Charizard (when present), and Lucario.

When it comes down to it, I don't give a shit about other people's opinions. For example, I will not change my mind about Lucario, just because some fanboys are overhyped, I will not start hating Serena because others are over-praising her, I will not start praising TPCi and hating 4Kids because some people want the old voice actors back, I will not start liking Cameron because other people hate him, and I will not start praising the Best Wishes series, just because most fans hated it. If a character or a series seems uninteresting and terrible, if a voice actor sounds horribly to me, then I am sticking with it, regardless of what others say. Nobody can change my mind about how a character seems, or about a voice actor sounds.

In XY series, the thing I am looking forward to the most is the battle between Ash and Clemont in the Lumiose Gym. Now I also want to see how Ash is going to get that Badge from Korrina. Mega Evolution doesn't seem to be a thing that Ash can overcome yet, like the League conferences, the Elite Four, and Lucario itself. I just hope that Ash will actually win that battle this time, and not result in something like; Korrina throws in the towel, a draw, or Korrina "recognised his skills" as a Trainer, and gave away the Badge.

A separation episode? Finally! They're usually very fun to watch, wonder who'll get "paired up" this time.

While that could be fun to watch, I'd rather see Ash and Bonnie alone together. They're very alike so I'd love to watch what shenanigans they'd pull off. While Serena and Clemont could end up alone together and worry themselves to death (and Korrina stress them out with her hyperactivity). Actually, Korrina along with Ash and Bonnie would be better. A trio with an activity level running 320 mph would be a treat.

Personally, I think that the upcoming episode will be more focused on the bond between Korrina and Lucario, rather than the separation itself. It will be a similar case to that of miss Glitter (Diantha) and her Gardevoir, but longer and more detailed. I could be wrong, though.



Sigh... Why don't they send Serena to travel with Shauna, Tierno and Trevor, just like in the games, and keep Korrina? At least Korrina is not an uninteresting horny airhead and her goal seems to be something more than to "get into a man's pants".
