Last week's episode was amazing. I don't think there was a single thing I disliked about that Gym Battle. Pikachu and Bunnelby finished their match, Hawlucha finally got another win and Goodra versus Luxray was the most epically explosive battle between non-legendaries I've seen in a long time. A perfect battle and episode. 10/10.
Oh great, yet another separation episode coming up. They used to be fun years ago, but I can't believe they're still doing them and I can't believe the twerps are still falling for Team Rocket's lies every time they happen. LT's right, it does feel like the writers are running on fumes sometimes.

That IS scary. Mind control may be overused as fuck in Pokémon, but I think I'm actually going to like seeing Ash look so terrifying for once.

Full summary and voice cast for XY070- That IS scary. Mind control may be overused as fuck in Pokémon, but I think I'm actually going to like seeing Ash look so terrifying for once. More like a body take over, as Hoopa Unbound (or its evil energy) has entered Ash's body. And Hoopa Unbound is scary too, so no wonder Ash looks like that. |

One wonders why pokemon seeking ways to heal their friends/family never seem to simply ask for help and tend to get violent about it. This might be the most extreme example assuming Florges formed this army just for access to the spring.

Now Team Rocket are manipulating Florges and her desire to help the weak Floette. Unless they were there in the beginning and provoked the war? Team Rocket have been coming up with plans that are menacing and cruel in XY (such as having a device which tortures a Pokémon into submission). Full summary and voice cast for XY072 and three more new summaries- The current Pokémon XY opening has been updated: Satoshi will get an Onbat who appears to be a child and a cry baby (also shown in the new upcoming episodes trailer) which will have problems with flying:   There is an Eevee who has a dream of becoming a performer and it's being watched by Serena, thus hinting that she could get it (she obviously will get it):     But the most noteworthy and important update of the intro is this (you better have been watching the Mega Evolution specials, because this was obvious):   And here is the upcoming episodes preview which I mentioned (Shota's Kimori will evolve during the episode were he battles Satoshi): youtu.be/Dgo27NUUscUXY071 screencaps: filb.de/anime/xy/071 and XY072 preview video: filb.de/news/pocket-monsters-xy-folge-71-2535 (I love the spooky effect with the no music). |

Welp, Goodra's release happened. I kept putting off watching that episode because it's still not subbed, but I finally decided to watch it anyway. The hugging and the crying was touching and all, but... ugh. I got the impression that Ash didn't even ask Goodra if it wanted to stay or not, he just decided to let it go because he thought it'd be happier with its friends. Let's hope he made the right decision and that he might still be able to call that warden guy for Goodra at the Kalos League. We didn't see him actually release Goodra from its Poké Ball, so there might still be hope... at least until the episode finally gets subtitles and all my dreams probably go crashing down. OH WELL. It doesn't really matter if I'm being completely honest with myself. No matter what Pokémon Ash uses in the League, he will still lose because the writers are terrified of letting him win because they think that Ash winning a League would somehow end the series they are themselves writing. Do they seriously not realize that winning a simple regional League Tournament wouldn't be enough to make Ash a Pokémon Master? He would still get his ass kicked by the Elite Four like he always does, so why can't the writers throw him a bone before they're forced to ship him off to a new region when Gen VII comes around? That's what they should have done in Sinnoh instead of asspulling a legendary user. Sigh... Anyway, Goodra's gone and even though it wouldn't have helped Ash win the Kalos League, it was still an awesome Pokémon and I'll miss it. Luckily Ash will get a new Dragon-type to replace it, but sadly catching Noibat will also make him have three Flying-types in his current team. The final Gym Battle should be interesting... You said it. I like Valerie and I've always wondered why she isn't more popular. I guess you're not the only one who found her eyes creepy. This. Once again, one of my favorite quotes from the early days of the show becomes more obsolete. "Pokémon not bad guys", my ass. All right, about time these two met! Will Shota finally become the rival Ash has been missing for the entire XY series? We know Tierno is collecting Badges too, but I have a feeling that Ash versus Shota will be the match to really look forward to in the Kalos League. Ahaha, I feel bad for Valerie already. Like Clemont so rightfully said, even the best of strategies fall short against Ash's unpredictability... not to mention his GUTS AND SPIRIT!  Yes! Ash, get a Key Stone and a Charizardite Y and you're all set for the battle of all fanboys' dreams! |
