Well, I decided to move this to the Pokémon side.
You all think you have great ideas for Pokemon games, but if I actually listened to all of you and we combined all of your ideas into a game, it would be an unplayable monstrous game. You want a game with all the regions, but only the first generation Pokemons, yet all the legendary ones and such silly things. Whenever I receive one of these rants, I go to the development floor and read it out loud to all the Game Freak employees in a mocking voice, and we all laugh at you.
I would like to first start out, by saying that while he may be flooded by e-mails of unwavering fans and may only be trying to tell the truth, I still think it is arrogant that he didn't listen to any one thing they said. Ignoring that he should have just let them be instead of sharing it with everyone and laughing at them, Pokémon has been in need for some major changes for a long time. The Pokémon were always spread out way to sparingly between games, making it nearly impossible to catch them all without literally buying them all. On the contrary, provided you have a friend that plays Pokémon or have access to the Global Trade Network, all the Pokémon are there at your fingertips, the phrase "Gotta Catch 'Em all" turns to "Catch some then trade wildly". I myself was not allowed on the Global Trade Network by my dad because he was afraid of paying, no matter what I told him, I didn't have any friends to play with and I didn't want to bring up the subject of Pokémon in school, and I couldn't afford to buy all the games and ended up buying used ones for half the original price (except for Black and White which mom bought as a Christmas gift, and Pokémon Channel that my dad bought me back when we first bought the GameCube). I am autistic mixed with ADD so I can't make friends and at the time when I was growing up Pokémon was seen mainly as a children's game and it was shameful for a teenager, let alone an adult, be in it, and I am surprised that even though Satoshi himself has Asperger's he did not foresee ANYONE, let alone a huge minority of children, could be like this.
That being said, none of that has to do with having only first generation Pokémon (did they not play the Gameboy versions?), or having all legendaries, or all that. I did feel that I had to bring it up as it is closely related and personal to me.
