And what an excellent promotion video it was. I'm glad the comments were disabled, or there probably would have been approximately a hundred million people demanding it becoming a spin-off series. Again. The comments have always been disabled on the videos from the official Japanese Pokémon Youtube account. But on the English ones they are open, so expect to see those kinds of comments when they have the dub up. |

Interesting that May starts with two Pokémon and Brendan gets one.

Actually it is just like the Black 2 and White 2 promotion trailer, they both showed segments, advertising parts of the games.
Comparing it to Pokémon Origins, it's nothing like either of them. It was an actual show, it had a plot AND it was released on DVD.
Yes, Mega Charizard X was promoting Mega Evolution, but that's just like when the main series Pokémon movies shown a new Pokémon.

A brand new patch is now available for Pokémon Bank to make it compatibale with ORAS. It requires 210 blocks to download.
Japan, North America, Australia and South Korea all get the game at 21st November, while Europe gets it at 28th November...

Oh right, I have to remember to get that patch. I have a few Pokémon ready to be transported to Omega Ruby from Y.
I guess I won't spend much time on the Internet before I buy my game next week. I usually suck at avoiding spoilers, but I'm going to do it this time, damnit!

I have to be careful on Tumblr, I know people I follow will be reblogging ORAS stuff.
My way is to just quickly scroll down anything I spot from the games, it works for me.

I avoid Tumblr by never going on it. I on the other hand have been checking out some of the leaks and there's some good stuff You can find Pokemon in the wild with egg moves now, apparently a streamer found a Taillow with Brave Bird at level 9.
You get a Johto starter after beating the game.
Doesn't seem to be any Battle Frontier, flavor text suggests there might be later, though. |

Tumblr is the only place were I can share things I love with others. I avoid this by not loving anything. I'm surprised no one has been talking about ORAS here the past couple days, but then I remembered I'm probably the only active poster in the US here. Game's pretty fun, I guess. Technically the game is pretty weak thanks to the XY engine but it's not like, terrible. Not great either, though. I'm trying to take my sweet time here but somehow I've already gotten four badges. I get a lot of enjoyment out of Pokemon games by pretending my character just really doesn't want to be in the situation he's in and he's just trying to tell everyone to let him go home and play videogames. I'm so glad the game let me live out my little roleplaying fantasy by walking away from May while she was trying to teach me how to use the DexNav. Oh and May? She totally wants it in this game. She's all up an' down the Brendan-pole. Every time you beat her in a fight she puffs her chest out, even.  What a sluuuuuuuuuuuuuut. Mauville is pretty sweet in ORAS, got a lot of new shit to it, and according to what I hear they added another Mauville in addition to New Mauville from RSE, but I haven't gotten that far into it yet. The new DexNav feature is pretty fun to use, when it actually lets you search for a Pokemon. God help you if you want to use it in a cave, because 9 times out of 10 it won't work. I've managed to get some pretty good Pokemon from using it, my Loudred fucks up just about anything it comes up against, thanks to having perfect offensive and speed IVs. I've been making light use of the Exp. Share to try raising more than six Pokemon and swapping around a lot. Dudes I'm using are: Lil' Jerry the Combusken (Male, Docile, Level 31) Z. Stardust the Shroomish (Male, Gentle, Level 30) Ocean Blue the Masquerain (Female, Sassy, Level 25) Rebel Rebel the Kirlia (Female, Naughty, Level 28) Overlove the Loudred (Male, Naive, Level 30) Aerosmith the Taillow (Male, Quiet, Level 26) ACDC the Electrike (Naughty, Female, Level 22) Mr. Big the Machoke (Male, Naughty, Level 30) Van Halen the Sandslash (Male, Naive, Level 32) CrazyDiamond the Quagsire (Male, Relaxed, Level 31) Unfortunately I couldn't think of a good music-themed nickname for my Combusken but this may be the only chance I get to drop this sick Seinfeld reference. I'm prepared to face Norman right now but I think I want to try DexNaving a Trapinch before I do. Also don't believe the Nintendo Life review of the game that mentions how ORAS has all the postgame content of Emerald. It's a lie, at least for now. Reviewers couldn't talk about the postgame for a reason. |

Also, now that I know how May behaves in the game, suddenly I want to play as the boy. Dammit, I played as the boy in Y and I wanted to be a girl this time.
