896: Mega Tabunne VS Giga Giga Nyāsu!!
889: A Giga Battle With Mega Results!
The twerps are rummaging about the forest as always looking for a Pokemon Center, when they hear a blood curdling scream, but before they can find the source, we're treated to the absolute lamest theme in Pokémon history. It's like they didn't even try with this one, my god.
Anyway, there's no easy way to segue into this title, so...
The twerps hit the edge of a small cliff, and see a young woman with her foot stuck in a crevice in the rock. Ash asks her if she's OK, because she just looks like she's having so much fun, and then rushes down to help her. The twerps, help consists of them pulling her sideways, which has to be the dumbest attempt at rescuing someone with their leg stuck in something ever, and surprisingly it doesn't work. Bonnie asks if Clemont can do something, and as he starts his standard "I thought we'd encounter this exact situation" line, Bonnie rushes him on, they don't have time this time.
Clemont then uses his Aipom Arm to push the crevice aside slightly, allowing Ash and the Twerps to pull her out (even if they're still doing it wrong). Serena asks how she got her leg stuck in their, and as it turns out, she got it stuck trying to recover a Mega Stone. This reminds Bonnie that they were supposed to be meeting Professor Sycamore, and Ash asks if she can tell them where the Pokémon Center is, and she tells them she can do them one better, and promises to take them.
She shows them to her car, which is really an ambulance, and then she strips naked ... while unfortunately wearing clothes underneath. It's Nurse Joy! The twerps are super shocked, according to her, this is how she dresses when she does field work.
At the Pokémon Center some kid whines about Nurse Joy not being at the Center... which actually is a reasonable complaint. She pulls up, and Team Rocket are of course nearby planning, something.
As the twerps get in, they apparently beat Sycamore, so for heir trouble Nurse Joy offers to check their Pokémon for them. But, she seems unable to open the door, Clemont offers his help, and the door is purposefully obstructed. As it turns out Joy's Audino is the one who did it.
As you may remember, back in Unova, Nurse Joy used the much cuter Audino to help them around the Center, instead of the hideous abomination known as Wigglytuff. As Joy bangs on the door, Audino gives a very pointed reply about opening it, and you don't have to speak Audino to know what Audino is saying.
Apparently it's pissed because Joy left and didn't have the decency to inform it when she was coming back - a very logical reason to be upset. She asks if he can speak with it in private, and as the twerps leave they're accosted by that kid from earlier. His name is Emilio, and he asks them if they can talk to Audino. He leads them in the back of the Center through a window, and they quickly arrive at Audino's room. Joy is still begging on the other side to get in, and Audino is giving no fucks, while treating a Zigzagoon.
Emilio taps Audino on the back and introduces the Twerps, and the Zigzagoon it was working on hops up and runs off. The Twerps make their pitch for Audino to make up with Nurse Joy, because people depend on the both of them. as Audino thinks it over, a very attractive man shows up, as a very unsexy man runs and carries his Makuhita on his back.
Sycamore, states the obvious and says that Makuhita needs help right now. Joy pleads with Audino again, and tells it they have an emergency patient, which gets it to respond. Sycamore then asks for Ash's help, for some reason, and they head in to treat it. And by help, he means for Ash to stand on the outside providing no help what-so-ever, and by "they" I mean Audino and Nurse Joy treat it, while Sycamore stands to the side providing no help what-so-ever.
Sycamore seems acutely aware that he's of no help and removes himself from the operating room. Sycamore then takes note of Joy's Mega stone, but before he can shove it in his pocket, and leave, Nurse Joy and Audino emerge from the OR with the trainer's Makuhita, and then they leave to never be seen again.
Joy and Audino then go straighten things up, while everyone gossips about them behind their backs.
Before they forget, Clemont has Sycamore look at Squishy, he starts touching it, and it doesn't like it one bit. Sycamore then states the obvious, that it's squishy, and tells the twerps that he has no clue what it is, before taking it's DNA.
Speaking of squishy, Nurse Joy and Audino's squishy friendship appears to be squishing thin again, as they're back to arguing again.
Clemont asks when they started fighting, and Joy tells them it was before they were "sent" to this center.
We then get an interesting flashback of a bunch of Nurse Joy graduating from the Cloning Facility they all come from, or at least the Kalos region ones anyway. Joy (uh, the one currently telling the story, not the multiple clones) receives her Nurse's Hat, which I guess is like a diploma? She is then surprised to see the same Audino that's been standing next to her for the last several minutes standing next to her. She then plaintively whine that everyone else has a Wigglytuff, for some reason, even though she seems to be getting the better of this exchange since she won't have to stare those hideous things down everyday.
The older Joy clone then tells her some shit about how she has a tendency to forget everything around her, which explains why she's just now noticing the Audino that's stood next to her for several minutes, and thus they gave her an experienced (and much cuter) Pokémon, which makes her mad for some reason, but also leads me to believe that Audino must have outlived her previous Joy clone.
Joy claims that Audino will be of no use to her because she has her own way of thinking, and Audino's experience will be of no use to her.
Sycamore doesn't give a shit about their petty squabbling, he's had scores of whores, and don't care none for no problems of no woman he isn't currently doing - at least not yet anyway, and instead gets right to the point and asks about the Mega stone. Joy says that while she was looking for better ways to treat Pokémon, she came across a book written by Sycamore that says that Audino can Mega Evolve, and thus Joy went looking for a Mega Stone, particularly one that'll react to Audino, to Mega evolve it in the hopes it'll help better heal Pokémon, and refused to tell it because she wanted it to be a surprise.
Of course, the likelihood of finding a Mega Stone to coordinate with Audino to allow it to Mega Evolve has to be like, a billion to one.
Oh, by sheer coincidence it is an Audinite. Well, that was lucky.
Meanwhile a loud explosion is heard outside, what could it be?
Apparently it could be Team Rocket trying to hit up the Pokémon Center.
"Prepare for Trouble, you twerps are the creeps!
"And make it double, we're in this for keeps!"
"To protect the world from Devastation!"
"To unite all people within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of not getting our share!"
"Which in this case is everything, hoarders beware!"
"Jesse!"
"And James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Since we've got your Pokéballs, we've won the fight!"
"MEOWTH, THAT'S RIGHT!"
Nurse Joy wonder's who the fuck Team Rocket is, and Ash informs them that they're "bad guys who steal other people's Pokémon", and Meowth reminds Joy of the corporate slogan to "catch them all, before revealing the return of the Mega Meowth. It's now evolved into Giga Meowth, or the "Giga Giga Meowth Machine".
Boy, that's a mouthful.
They also decide steal Joy's Mega Stone. First they launch a net and capture both Ash and Pikachu. Pikachu to give to their boss, and I assume they'll sell off Ash to a nice gruff Russian Black Market surgeon named Bubbles, who'll harvest his organs and sell them to the highest bidders.
Joy and Audino being real doctors... nurses? Object to the black market selling of children's organs, and step in to stop them, while Audino's still holding the Mega Stone.
Sycamore then reaches into his shirt pocket, and tosses Joy a Key Stone, and then tells her that with their two hearts working as one, they should achieve Mega Evolution.
Well, there's nothing to it, but to do it, as Audino Mega Evolves into Mega Audino, and destroys the arm on the Giga Giga Meowth Machine.
Mega Audino looks... much the same, but whiter than regular Audino, but still ultimately cuter than Wigglytuff.
Joy then has Audino use Power-Up Punch to free Ash and Pikachu, and then DoubleBitchSlaps the Giga Giga Meowth Machine, before knocking it over with TakeDown and another Power-Up Punch.
She then uses Heal Pulse to... to... get team Rocket super high, because as Medical Professionals, they routinely participate in the practice of Malpractice, and can expect to hear from Team Rocket's lawyers after this.
anyway, in their super stoned state, they lose the desire to fight, and... just release the Pokémon, before blasting off again.
Well, it's time for the customary good-bye, and Joy announces that she'll better communicate when she's going tobe leaving for a long period of time.
Still with no clue what the hell Squishy is Ash blares out that they're heading the the Snowbelle City Gym, will we ever find out what Squishy is? I'll guess we'll have to wait s the journey is...
Sadly, there appears to have been an additional scene that got cut from the dub, which sucks because Audino is just adorable in these images.
