893: Hyakkokujimu no Daburu Batoru! Gojika no Mirai Yochi!!
886: All Eyes on the Future!
It's the day of Ash's Seventh Gym Battle, and to begin it's a Double Battle, Ash will be battling Olympia's Two Meowstic, and now all eyes... oh, sorry, *ahem*
Outside the Sundial, Sycamore's two sexy assistants are mourning their equipment. Olympia said she'll get them new equipment, which makes sense because most successful cult leaders have assloads of money on them.
Meanwhile, Team Rocket in disguise (which works, because neither of Sycamore's assistants are really familiar enough with Team Rocket regardless of what they're wearing) ask them questions. The beautiful blue-haired assistant begins rambling about the Sundial giving off the same energy as Pokémon during Mega-Evolution, while the red-haired one cutely grimaces at the sight of the camera.
Back at the Gym, the battle is about to begin, the rules are set. It's a Double Battle, both trainers only get to battle with two Pokémon, and no substitutions. Ash's friends (including Sycamore, who you may remember wasn't in the previous scene) mull over Ash's chances against Psychic-types.
Well, it's time for Ash to choose his Pokémon, and first up it's Frogadier, and second it's Pika... oh, Pikachu thinks it's him, but it's actually Talonflame.
The battle begins, and Olympia has her Meowstic use Helping Hand, and Then Future Sight at the same time, but Ash confident as ever plans to finish the match before it even lands, then send in Frogadier and Talonflame with Aerial Ace and Flame Charge respectively... then the Meowstic start flying, which I'm sure is cheating.
I think Pikachu agrees with me, because he starts roaring his own name at this blatant rules violation.
After watching them for awhile, Ash commands attacks on both, but Olympia counters with Light screen and Dark Pulse, which hits Talonflame right in the face. Frogadier makes the save on the giant bird, preventing it from falling to it's death.
Sycamore then begins declaring that male Meowstic's ability is Prankster (I'm not entirely sure how he can tell), anyway, Prankster allows it to use a Support move - like Light Screen - before it's opponent attacks, something that sounds a lot more plausible in a turn-based video game, then it does against living breathing competition, but whatevs.
Olympia starts again, having both of her Pokémon use Psyshock, which Ash's Pokémon dodge... or do they? Turns out the Psyshock is homing in on them around the arena. According to Sycamore, once again, this is the female's ability, Keen Eye, which makes it incredibly difficult to dodge, thus Frog and Talon totally get hit.
Ash thinks he gets Olympia's strategy now, and tries a counter attack... except Future Sight activates now.
Ash thinks he has an idea, but only tells Pikachu, and not the Pokémon actually battling in the battle. Oops.
Ash declares he's ready and the battle continues, first he has Talonflame prepare a Brave Bird, and Frogadier performs a Double Team, leaving "a million" Frogadier.
But Dark Pulse destroys the clones, but before hitting Frogadier, he uses Cut to stop Dark Pule, creating a bunch of smoke, allowing Talonflame's Brave Bird to hit the female Meowstic, at least, it looks like he hit her, I'm not sure, because she recovers quick enough to get off a Thunderwave aimed at Talonflame, but Frogadier takes one for the team, and gets Thunderwaved instead.
Olympia prepares another Future Sight, as Ash tells Pikachu "here it comes". Then Pikachu begins waving it's tail and saying it's name over and over. What's it doing? Well, I guess we'll never know.
Anyway, as the battle rages on Olympia shoots off another double Psyshock, and Ash responds by having Talonflame use Steel Wing, explaining that his offense is his defense. The Psyshock tracks Talonflame, and Frogadier blows it up with a Water Pulse. Talonflame then "let's em have it", and by "'em", I mean the male Meowstic, knocking it on it's ass.
In true Ash fashion, he plans not to let up, and sends in Frogadier for an Aerial Ace, but the Paralysis hits, and he trips and falls, and gets a face full of Dark Pulse for his trouble. Talonflame rescues him, and then they both get hit with the Future Sight attack.
Fortunately, they're still cognizant. Ash then asks Pikachu about something, then sends Frogadier and Talonflame to counter-attack. Well, he says "counter-attack", but there's no actual attack happening, and Olympia talks some more before attacking. She goes for the Future Sight again, and Pikachu starts waving it's tail again.
She then goes for Dark Pulse and Psyshock, as Ash has Frogadier ride Talonflame, which looks pretty awesome. With Dark Pulse and Psyshock tailing them, they nosedive and lead the attacks right to the Meowstic. With them now airborne from the resulting explosion, Talonflame and Frogadier each grab a Meowstic, until Pikachu begins shouting at Ash it appears he was counting the Future sight and thus giving him the timing so his Pokémon can hurl the Meowstic at the Future Sight.
This seems like it should get Ash disqualified for cheating, since he's technically using 3 Pokémon now, but no one else calls him on it, so I guess I won't either.
Olympia's Pokémon are still conscious and still raring to fight, and both use Psyshock. Frogadier is told to use Cut, but the Paralysis takes effect again, and Talonflame has to give Frogadier a ride again, with Psyshock again following, Olympia decides to pull a Pincer maneuver, and blasts a Dark Pulse on the other side. But Cut destroys both attacks.
The two continue flying at the currently airborne Psychic-types, who split up, Talonflame does a Flame Charge and... I think catches the female Meowstic, as the male Meowstic dodges Frogadier.
Frogadier tries for a Water Pulse and feels the Paralysis once again, so Olympia goes for a Psyshock. Frogadier then goes full Goku, as he holds off the Psyshock with Water Pulse, until finally he powers up enough to shoot back and hit Meowstic... and both Meowstic are unable to battle. Olympia's pussies have been beaten!
ASH WINS!
Ash runs onto the field to celebrate as Ash congratulates his Pokémon. Olympia congratulates Ash, and tells him that she can since the ture bonds of love, she even throws a little shade by congratulating Pikachu, the third Pokémon Ash used in this 2-2 battle.
She continues to read Frogadier's future, telling it it'll reach great heights, and then presents Ash with the Psychic badge, and Ash now has 7.
Wait 7? Already?
That was quick!
Sycamore later asks what the fuck Olympia was going on about earlier, and she tells him about green fire, which Wikipedia tells me is a 1954 movie about a lost emerald mine or something.
Well, I'm sure that won't be important, however she continues that the twerps, and Sycamore, and even Team Rocket will play a big part in it, which sets Team Rocket off to sneeze simultaneously as they float off into the sunset.
Before Ash leaves, Sycamore gives him and Serena new Advanced Pokédexes, get it? Because they look like Gameboy Advances!
Ash of course hasn't decided where they'll go next for his next gym badge, so Serena picks Snowbelle City, and knowing nothing else about the city, or even where it is, is ready to go, and I guess we'll go to, as the journey is...
Oh wait, Olympia has one final orgasm. Something about Deep Green Eyes.
Umm...
