: Pikachu Becomes a Star!? Its Movie Debut!!/How to Pikachu The Movie! OK! Action!!/The Lightning-fast Hero! Super Pikachu!!/Pikachu's Shocking Bloopers
: Lights! Camera! Pika! / How to Make a Pikachu Movie: Ready...Action! / Lightning Fast! Brave and Strong! Super-Pikachu! / The Very Best of Super-Pikachu's Back-Slapping Bloopers!
A Pikachu Libre laughs maliciously at a Pikachu dressed in a superhero outfit. The apparent villain has a Pikachu Pop Star and a Pikachu Belle held hostage by his henchmen dressed up like ninjas, outnumbering our hero five (counting the Big Bad) to one. Things look bad, until…
“Pikachu, don’t give up!” Ash shouts from the sidelines.
“Ash, be quiet!” Serena scolds.
“Pika-quiet on the set!” shouts a director after cutting the take short.
Yep, looks like the mascot got a lead role in a Pikachu movie. Didn’t want to stop at just 27 (as of today), huh?
The cameras begin rolling again, and the Pikachu film resumes being made. So, everyone quiets on the set. Ready?
Well, actually, we’ve started off far into this adventure, so let’s look at how we got here, huh?
As the twerps continue on the way to Anistar City (considering the dub airdate), they come across the biggest gathering of Pikachu ever seen since that one forest in Kanto. Or the Viridian City Pokemon Center.
Eh, big Pikachu gatherings are kinda common.
Oh, but this one’s special. How?
As soon as Main Character Pikachu climbs onto a walkway to greet his fellow electric mice, a man takes notice.
“Such fluid movements…”
“That perfectly Pika-proportioned body…” Heh, good thing you didn’t see how that “perfectly Pika-proportioned body” looked before Hoenn.
“That Pikachu grabbed the other Pikachus’ attention in less than an instant! Now that’s incredible Pika-star power!”
Then when Ash and the other twerps enter the set, the man who admired Main Character Pikachu’s body shouts “CUT!”
Yep, this Pikachu gathering is for a movie.
The director wants Main Character Pikachu to play the lead in his Pika-film, only by virtue of its body and that it got all the other Pikachus’ attention so quickly.
My, my, my, so insistent! Of course, mishandling of a Pikachu results in a shock, which he gets.
“My name is Frank. Nobody in the world loves Pikachu more than Pika-me,” introduces the director as he shows off his mansion to the twerps.
Look at all that Pika-love!
Frank Pikapra offers his thanks for getting Main Character Pikachu to be the star of his movie. An agreement we didn’t see, by the way. Hopefully Frank knows about “show, don’t tell”.
He also allows the twerps to help out in the film’s production. And now, we get to meet the film’s cast.
Pikachu Pop Star!
Pikachu Rock Star!
PikachuInsano PhD!
PikachuBig Bad Libre!
Pikachu Belle!
So what will Main Character Pikachu be wearing?
We’ll see later. For now, the script must be worked on, as it’s only three pages long. Clemont, with help from his Clemontic Brain, takes on the job of script writer.
The cast takes very kindly to this idea.
Working with Frank’s storyboards and some creative input from Clemont, the script gets finished.
And not a moment too soon.
Later that night, Frank’s granddaughter Jean explains where his love for Pikachu came from. There was always one by his side since his youth. Such a nice basic story.
Tomorrow is the big day, though, as we learn…
Filming takes place on a high cliff, as the Pokemon serve as a Special Effects Department of their own.
Heliolisk, Magnemite, and Slurpuff supply lighting.
Long time, no see. Weezing supplies smoke, just like another one always did.
The other Pikachu supply lightning.
Gurdurr handles the microphone.
Torkoal and Braixen supply smoke and fire.
With all this teamwork, filming of the cliff scene goes swimmingly.
And so, the cast and crew take a lunch break. Serena, filming behind-the-scenes material, decides to interview Frank about his Pika-fanboyism. He explains that due to being sick a lot, he needed a lot of comforting, which his Pikachu provided. Then, in his healthier later days, he and his Pikachu traveled together and did everything together. They were happy together, so now he wants to share his Pika-happiness with the world.
Filming completes later that day, beginning post-production. Before long, it is at long last complete.
So, after helping Frank Pikapra achieve his dream, the journey is…
…actually, this journey isn’t over yet. After all, we have to actually see this film, right? So, it’s time for our feature presentation…
To be covered in a special guide. For now, the journey is…
…still not being resumed. We’ve got one more thing to cover. So, let’s take a look at…
We begin with…
The most overdramatic Leo the Lion impression ever. Too scary.
Serena and Bonnie are then seen messing up their lines. And also corpsing.
After that, Pikachu Libre’s car lands in the small river. And then…
…his henchmen crowd the shot.
Then, we meet the crew doing what they do.
“Now, how did that happen??” Good question, Serena.
Then we see Ash confuse up for down as he dresses Hawlucha (Main Character Pikachu’s stunt double) into Super Pikachu’s costume. Just flip it over and we’re all good.
And get that random pebble Super Pikachu just tripped on off the set, and we’re all good.
Then after we see an overload of smoke…
…Hawlucha, still in Super Pikachu costume, grandstands as usual as the true star peeks from behind the Cartoon Network logo.
And finally, Pikachu dangles from a wire. And on that note, the journey is…
