Full summary and voice cast for XY061 (Numera's first evolution will happen in this episode)-

Wow, the new movie will be a real fest of legendaries. I can't wait for the other twerps to find out that Ash has already met most of them before. Of course, I still think they're hacks for creating another Rayquaza.

I watched XY057 and XY058 last week. The ice cream episode was surprisingly good, mostly thanks to Bonnie and Ramos. The Gym Battle episode was pretty awesome, although Ramos's Jumpluff was completely useless and his Weepinbell was OP as heck. I get that it had a lot of battle experience, but it was still a little painful to watch it beat down two Pokémon it was weak against, especially after all those times Ash used to completely destroy James's Victreebel in the past. Granted, he used different Pokémon in those days and James is a terrible Trainer, but still. Anyway, Frogadier was a total badass. About time he got to show us all his true strength. Naturally, it irked me somewhat to see him withstand so many super-effective Grass-type attacks like that, but I have two theories on how that was possible - either Ash's Frogadier's ability is Protean or then Ramos's Gogoat is simply so old that its attacks don't have as much power as they once had. We've seen old Pokémon lose their strength in the anime before, like Tracey's Scyther and that one Dojo Master's Machoke with lumbago. Of course, now that it's possible to pull off critical hits and survive certain KOs in the games as well, I suppose the real reasons for Frogadier's incredible performance were simply Ash's old trump cards, Power of Friendship and GUTS AND SPIRIT. Never fails, except in the Leagues.

I wonder why Aerial Ace looks so different now. I certainly can't see Ash's bird Pokémon using it in the same way as Frogadier. It used to be a speedy charging attack, but when Frogadier used it, it looked more like Fury Cutter or other similar move. And back when he first learned it, it was punching and kicking. Makes me wonder if Frogadier even knows what that move is supposed to look like and just keeps improvising while using it against various opponents.

Oh, and Ramos's Gogoat knows five moves. It makes me happy to know that even now there are Pokémon who still can break the limitations of certain game rules. So it's really too bad that Gogoat's five moves are so terrible together - Grass Knot, Leech Seed, Vine Whip, Razor Leaf and Horn Leech. Any Pokémon with Sap Sipper would automatically win against it. You'd think a Gym Leader would know to teach his Pokémon moves with a little more variety.

I'll comment on Serena's new look once I've seen it in an episode. Oh, and I do like the new opening. It's catchy and it has nice animation.

I knew Musashi would only get votes from her team mates and nobody else.

While Bakeccha's costume was creative, it was way too much for a TriPokalon.

Dang, I wonder if this will end up being some kind of "Godzilla" level event. Hoopa bringing together so many territorial legendaries who normally would never meet is bound to cause some huge battles.
