864: Mayoimichi Wakaremichi!? Musashi to Sōnansu!!
858: A Fork in the Road! A Parting of the Ways!
The narrator reminds us that Clemont abandoned the rest of the twerps alone, as Bonnie wonders if he'll be OK, by himself in his nice cushy bed, as we see Clemont beat Clembot and Magneton with Bunnelby, whch I guess means he won't be using Magneton in his Gym battle, thus reminding me of the crushing sadness that washed over my soul when Clemont refused to bring Magneton with him when .
Poor Magneton... and me.
Anyway, Clemont tells Clembot that the real Ash is more... uh... dynamic, and wants to digitize Ash's battle style and put it into it Clembot, like a sort of Practice Mode.
Just then Team Rocket attacks from above, and reads this week's title card.
Ash has Pikachu use Thunderbolt... and their blasting off already. That was quick.
Team Rocket try to re-collect themselves... at least Meowth, James, Inkay and Pumpkaboo do as Jesse and Wobbuffet got separated in the blast off.
Jesse's freaking out because her... thing is broken, and explodes.
Clemont must have made it.
They shove off looking for the rest of their crew, until stopping at a Lake after being unable to find a thing.
While Jesse screams at Wobbuffet a Gloom wanders up and wants to share the good news about it's lord and savior, Arceus. but Jesse ain't having it, throwing dirt at it trying to shoo it away.
Angered that it's passive-aggressive offer to convert Jesse's religion is met with dirt throwing it unleashes a Stun Spore on them and leaves them to drown.
Later on an extremely handsome man awakens Jesse after fishing her out of the lake. His name is White, like the last series of the show. White's able to determine that Jesse was hit by a Stun spore and feeds her a berry in a ridiculously adorable scene.
When asked, she tells him her name is Jesselia, even though he'd never be able to connect the name Jesse to Team Rocket. He offers to take her back to his clinic to take her clothes off (Woah, a little forward there, eh?) and get her changed into less wet ones.
While her clothes identifying her as a member of the evil Team Rocket hang out to dry, Jesse blushes inside in her new clothes.
She spots Wobbuffet outside playing with a female Wobbuffet and her little baby Wynaut, while complimenting his berry garden, as he mentions he's the only Doctor in town, and thus must grow his own healing herbs... if you know what I mean.
Meanwhile an extremely southern guy living in France pulls up in his pick-up truck with his Diggersby, bringing some fertilizer... I wonder where he got it from?
He's doing this as a favor to the Doc it seems for healing up his Diggersby, as it seems like he works on Humans and Pokémon, and also to get rid of all that shit.
White prepares to head off on his rounds, and Jesse asks if she can accompany him, as thanks from saving her, and he obliges and gives her the most handsome smile.
At some woman's house he looks over her Bidoof, who's gums are apparently pretty bad. According to the woman a trap set by a Pokémon Hunter caught Bidoof and somehow mangled it's gums. The Woman, Beatrice, gos on to explain that Bidoof was caught in a steel cage, and therefore used it's teeth to bite through the bars.
She threatens to "settle up" with the Pokémon Hunter if she ever comes in contact with them, which White warsn against, suggesting it'll be better to leave Officer Jenny to it. She then rightfully points out that waiting for Officer Jenny to take care of it they'll never get anything settled, to which he replies that that's no reason to rush into something so unprepared, to which SHE responds by basically calling him a fucking meely-mouthed pussy.
At this point Jesse tries to mediate the situation, essentially leaving White to angrily storm off.
At some other ranch, Jesse continues to assist White by grabbing a scared stampeding (relatively) Skiddo by the horns and holding it down while White examines it.
The lady of this particular house calls Jesse strong and capable and suggests that she'll make a perfect wife for Dr. White.
Jesse then imagines her life with wife, getting married and wearing matching clothes (gross), and figures that while it's different than the glamorous Champagne Life she's always imagined for herself, it would be peaceful, and gosh darn it, they just might be able to work this thing out.
White determines that Skiddo must have been unsettled because it was being affected by a Poison Powder.
Meanwhile the twerps are eating food that Serena prepared, seemingly rending Clemont's position within the group obsolete. She also has Macaroons and Poképuffs for desert, which, until now I thought were the only things she could cook.
She's clearly preparing for her future life as Ash's wife here, and using Bonnie as their surrogate daughter.
Bonnie also happens to notice that Dedenne has wandered off yet again, showing that things are just the same whether Clemont abandons them at who knows where or not.
Dedenne has wandered because apparently it smelled a Poképuff (even though Serena already had Poképuffs) and wanders into a very obvious trap, because it's dumb and once inside, apparently gets overloaded with electricity, thus paralyzing it.
The happy family catch up to their dumb pet as it lays on the floor of the cage in pain, Fennekin breaks the cage with scratch as Serena looks on her map thing for a Pokémon Center. No dice. But she happens to notice a Clinic not-too-far away.
Hmm...
Jesse and White sit on a log overlooking the lake, and White tells her that despite seeming boring to someone used to the city, he really likes that country living. And Wobbuffet seems to enjoy living with his new woman, too, as Jesse tries to figure out what would make her happy - love or...
White takes note of her awkward silence, and asks what's the matter, as she accidentally blurts out "IT'S LOVE", confusing White, unti she corrects herself saying she loves to look at them all.
Suddenly, out of nowhere, an Ursaring. Jesse having none-too-friendly encounters with Ursaring in the past, get's ready to brace herself for it's sexually release of anger.
But White stops her, this Ursaring is apparently a former patient of his, and as such is much more docile than it's horny, angry brethren.
Jesse then reveals in her mind, that she chooses love, over her life of being blasted off and beaten by twerps at every turn.
Not the worst chance of exchange, really.
Speaking of bad segues, the rest of Team Rocket are still searching for Jesse, knowing she couldn't have just vanished into thin air. It's a bit distressing they've decided to look for her by the lake, as if they believe she may have drowned in it or something.
Suddenly Meowth catches a glimpse of her, and they figure it's pretty weird to see her in such strange clothes and head off to see what's up.
After they make it back to the clinic, the loving family unit of Serena, Ash, and their surrogate Daughter Bonnie rush her stupid pet to the Doc, freaking the fuck out of Jesse for some reason, even though she should know by now that they couldn't pick her out of a line-up of one person when she has a different hair-do.
Inside Ash throw his assumption that Dedenne's problems come from when it shocked itself in that weird steel cage that somehow keeps electricity in, at which point White guesses that this must be the work of that Pokémon Hunter mentioned before. He seems pretty small potatoes and he's not as cunning as J, or even as focused on a specific type of Pokémon like Dolan and will catch and try to sell anything that comes his way.
Dr. White fixes Dedenne's sparking problem as Jesse goes out to get some berries to help get what little strength it had before back.
While outside Wobbuffet and his new woman stroll on by, and Ash thinks there's something about "that" Wobbuffet, and thinks nothing of the one wearing lipstick. I mean, really?
Bonnie also notices Jesse's Team Rocket uniform hanging from the clothesline, and Jesse trips trying to rip it down, thus popping her hair out into it's original place. Surprisingly the twerps actually notice that this is Jesse, and that that's her Wobbuffet.
She quickly tries to hush the twerps up and lays her whole plan on the table. She plans to quit Team Rocket and spend the rest of her life with Dr. White. James and Meowth, who are hanging by in the bushes can't believe what they just heard.
Meowth thinks that maybe she just ain't thinking right, and he'll go over and set her right, but James stops him before he can. He figures that if this is what Jesse wants, and it'll bring her a little happiness, maybe she'll be better off, and they shouldn't impede her. Afterall, that's what real friends do. Meowth understands, he's been in love before to, and know what it can make you do, including learning a completely different form of communication. They then run off remembering the good times as James hopes that Jesse truly finds happiness.
Bonnie then dives right in and asks if this means she'll be getting married to the Good Doctor, as Ash clearly wonders what the fuck "marriage" is. Serena, then clearly throwing HUGE hints at Ash says that it is what two people do when they decide to be with each other.
Jesse clearly didn't quite think that far ahead, but she's totally down with it if that's what's to be.
Meowth is super depressed that they're likely to never see Jesse again as James, also very depressed hides it by saying that it's just going to be us, and by "us" I mean them. He also seems super hurt that Meowth doesn't think he's good enough for him, but I may be reading too much into things here.
Anyway, they spot a run of the mil trap just laying around in the forest, and good god does this Pokémon Hunter suck.
He actually shows up this time, and accurately assesses that he has an actual rare Pokémon, and not just a Bidoof, in a talking Meowth. James and Meowth aren't going to just give up without a fight as the hunter reveals his Pokémon, the phallically horned Rhyperior. And he's ready to drill.
In an adorably dorky fashion, Serena says she's going to "give it everything she's got", and tells Jesse she's going to help her tell Dr. White everything she's feeling. You know, like she does to Ash all the time.
This next scene is very confusingly set up, as a familiar voice (James) asks if the Doctor is in, leading Jesse to re-do her hair, and head inside the clinic, at which point James staggers out of the bushes right behind them.
Either way, Rhyperior fucked their shit up and stole Meowth and all his Pokémon. James wants to rescue Meowth without help from Jesse, even though he blatantly yelled for a Doctor in his easily recognizable voice with Jesse present.
Either way, inside Jesse apparently heard the whole thing and is now pretty conflicted over what to do.
The hunter - who never gets a name, so we'll call "Captain Dicknose", since he owns a Rhyperior for short - throws Meowth's cage in his pick-up and tells Meowth that he'll make him a fortune, which he is probably not used to.
The twerps meet up with the Captain, and Ash's extensive history with Pokémon Hunters allows him to inform Dicknose that he is in fact a Pokémon Hunter and the twerps attempt to shame him into submission and release Team Rocket's Pokémon.
Somehow that brilliant plan does not work, and he instead sends out Rhyperior to fight!
Well, it was worth a shot.
I should probably make a joke about how Rhyperior launches Geodude from it's holes, according to the Pokédex.
While the twerps run the feint, James sneaks up behind and let's Meowth and the other two out of their cages.
Teamwork makes the dream work!
Pikachu and Fennekin are sent on the offensive, as Rhyperior stops them both with a Rock Wrecker.
But first, let's cut back to the clinic. Jesse has told White about Captain Dicknose, and it doesn't seem she got a lot of explanation out as White immediately calls out for Beatrice and runs out to check on her, as she just happens to be walking past the clinic, blissfully unaware Dicknose has returned... ugh, or at the least is being confronted, since he never really left.
White is relieved she's not caught up in that mess, and as she tries to coyly tease him about his concern, he however impassionately tells her that he was concerened, very much so, because she's very important to him.
Jesse can see where this is going, and not one to waste time fighting over a man who clearly has his eyes on another prize, she knows that her time here has come to an end. She also knows that her time with Wobbuffet may have as well, as Wobbuffet seems pretty happy to be with it's new wife and it's new life. She says good-bye and leaves it to be happy.
Meanwhile, in another unhappy - but for a different reason - part of our story. James has freed Meowth, but CD has caught on, and separated the twerps with the Rock Wrecker, as he threatens to teach the Scratch Cat "a lesson", as someone throws a stick at the back of his head.
"Prepare for trouble, and that will be that! And make it double, or I'll knock you flat!" echoes a familiar voice.
"It's Jesse" says everyone (except Dicknose obviously) as she stands on top of the Rock Wrecker rocks.
"To protect the world from Devastation!"
"Don't do it!" cries out James.
"To unite all people within our nation!" continues Jesse.
"But I thought you were going to give up evil-doing for love?" asks Meowth.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love!" she emphatically says with extra vigor
James and Meowth cry in joy, and she tells them it's their turn.
"To extend our reach to the stars above!" adds James
"Jesse!"
"and it's James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off TOGETHER at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now, or prepare for a unified fight!"
"Meowth, that's right!"
James notices that Wobbuffet is still missing, and she explains her reasons for leaving him, being the reasons James and Meowth left her earlier. to live out the life that he prefers now.
A re-united Team Rocket sets off to fight as Captain Dicknose sends in Rhyperior with Horn Drill, sending them back through the Rock Wrecker rocks, and into the Twerps. He then sends Rhyperior back in with more Rock Wrecker and just before it can smash the group in the face, ending the series in the most gruesome of fashions...
WOBBUFFET FROM OUT OF NOWHERE!
He blocks the Rocks and Wrecks Rhyperior's rocks with it.
Jesse is actually not happy to see him, she wanted him to live his happy life that it was totally enjoying, and even tells him to go back, but he tells her (through Meowth), that he left them for his friends, though Jesse still clearly believes he should have chosen love.
Dicknose don't give no shit though as he sends Rhyperior back in to thrust it's horn nose at them with Fury Attack, but Wobbuffet blocks it again, and sends him back, and next starts a very cool sequence of each of the everybody attack El Capitan at once.
He is so fucked.
Later that night, the twerps bring a subdued Captain Dicknose to Dr. White as they wait for Officer Jenny to collect him (they'll be waitng for awhile) as they explain how Jesselia helped them defeat him. Bonnie gives him a tiny bouquet of Flowers as a parting gift from his former assistant, as Jesse thinks over her whirlwind romance and admits that she'll most likely always be a member of Team Rocket, but she'll do it with the best friends she could possibly ask for.
And thus ends our story this week. THE END!
