Pokemon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire Discussion

The Pokémon Company has uploaded a new trailer which showcases all of the new information and Mega Evolutions from the past week. Primal Kyogre's ability is Primordial Sea and it blocks Fire-type moves and changing the weather. Its move is Origin Pulse. Primal Groudon's ability is Desolate Land and it blocks Water-type moves and changing the weather. It's move is Precipice Blades. Both moves can hit multiple opponents. The new weathers are permanent but fade when the Pokémon is switched out

The livestream for Pokémon Omega Ruby & Sapphire has been airing and has revealed some new footage will be interspersed with their playthrough of Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire. We'll be posting everything that is noteworthy. It started off showing the two trainers meeting upstairs.

So far, aside from the footage at the beginning, the footage shown is that which has been contained in previous trailers including meeting Roxanne in Rustboro City Gym, taking the boat from Petalburg to Dewford Town, and Team Aqua in the Oceanic Museum.

Mega Rayquaza has been reveale. It has a new ability called Delta Stream which creates a new weather effect that removes weather and makes moves of a type that Flying-type Pokémon are usually weak to will only deal normal damage to any Flying-type Pokémon in the battle. It lasts as long as Rayquaza is in battle

Trailer also shows a move called Dragon Ascent which is said to be the most powerful Flying-type move

It was a primal age, early in the world's history... The natural world was overflowing with energy. That energy granted Groudon and Kyogre an overwhelming power. Seeking ever more of that energy for themselves, the two clashed again and again, and their battles cast the people and Pokémon of Hoenn into great danger. And the people called their tormentors Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre.

When Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre had battled for 20 dawns and 20 nights, the world began to lose its natural balance and tilt toward destruction. The people, unable to endure any more, cried out to their mighty savior Rayquaza before a great stone that shone with rainbow brilliance. And a change came upon Rayquaza, weaving in the sky above Primal Groudon and Primal Kyogre. Suffused in brilliant light, its body began to transform visibly. And then...

The latest edition of CoroCoro has revealed Mega Beedrill and Mega Pidgeot, among other new information.

Mega Beedrill is Bug/Poison and has Adaptability; its Attack and Speed greatly increase. Mega Pidgeot is Normal/Flying and has No Guard; its Special Attack increases.

Mega Latios and Mega Latias will appear in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. While these two Mega Evolutions and their respective Mega Stones had previously been discovered in the code of Pokémon X and Y by fans, they had not been officially announced until now.

During the game, the player can befriend Latios or Latias. Using the Eon Flute, the player can summon it and freely fly through the sky on its back, and can even turn and speed up at will. Latios appears in Omega Ruby, while Latias appears in Alpha Sapphire.

The next issue of CoroCoro will include a serial code to download the Eon Ticket, which allows the player to travel to Southern Island to obtain the member of the Eon Duo not normally obtainable in that game.

There are new areas called 'Mythical Places', which can be found on islands and in clouds in the sky. Legendary Pokémon from previous games can be found in Mythical Places. With only Pokémon X and Y and Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire, all Legendary Pokémon can be found(but not necessarily all Mythical Pokémon).

The Japanese guidebook "Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire: Simple Clear Guide" will be released on Nov. 22 and retail for ¥864.

The first details from the Pokémon ORAS demo have come in and have revealed Mega Steelix. We're still working on getting details so please stand by.

Mega Glalie is also in the demo. Mega Steelix gets the Sand Force ability

On the Global Link, there will be a special ORAS League. In this league, you can use only Pokémon that you can catch during regular gameplay, hatch from an Egg, obtain within the game, or that were officially gifted in either Pokémon X, Pokémon Y, Pokémon Omega Ruby, or Pokémon Alpha Sapphire. In the XY League, you can battle using Pokémon X or Pokémon Y. You can use any Pokémon you caught in those games, as well as any Pokémon brought to your game using the Nintendo 3DS downloadable software Poké Transporter.

The special battle rules for Season 7, the first season following the release of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, have been decided! All battles will be Double Battles, and will feature Pokémon listed in the Hoenn Regional Pokédex in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire (some Pokémon excluded)!

The DexNav in the PokéNav Plus has a search level as you find Pokémon. As this Level increases, you can find Pokémon with Hidden Abilities & Rare moves. You can even mark Pokémon in the area that you have seen and haven't seen.

In the AreaNav, there is also tracking of Pokémon locations, as well as the return of the Trainer's Eyes and the ability to keep track of Secret Bases and Berries

Buzz Nav has information such as television shows, and you can even receive information for it with StreetPass

The PlayNav retains all features of the PSS, Super Training and Pokémon Amie
