The Twerps have come to rest in a park as Serena and Bonnie brush Fennekin's fur, before Chespin pops out to get him some of that. Serena announces they're waiting for someone, and she cmes running up. Why, it's Serena's girlfriend Shauna (or at least Shauna wishes). Clemont helpfully reminds us the last time we saw Shauna was at summer camp, in case you forgot all those couple of weeks ago.
She announces that Aria will be doing an exhibition performance in the city they're in, Lagoon Town, while also reminding us that she's the "Kalos Queen", I.E. the top Pokémon Performer. Again, in case you forgot, basically she's all about...
Or in Shauna's case, a Performer's Wet Dream!
At the arena they wait for the show to start, as Shauna makes sure to sit in between Ash and next to Serena.
The show starts as we veer up to Team rocket in disguise also checking out the show. An unintelligible French accent welcomes us to the showcase, and introduces Aria.
The show starts with fire being thrown around by Braixen, Ash and Clemont act surprised, even though it was mentioned that Fennekin evolved, but maybe they weren't there, I don't remember. Anyway, the Pokedex tells us that Braixen uses the twig in it's tail as a match to do Fire Spin, and I guess that's the only move it ever uses it for.
Immediately after this convenient explanation, Aria from somewhere out of vision commands Braixen to use a Fire Spin. It spins it's fire as Aria appears from beneath the floor. Aria and Braixen then toss the fire stick around, ending with Braixen balancing the stick on it's head. The finish it off Aria orders it to use a Fire Blast as it sends the fiery character in the air above the audience it disperses sending flaming hot embers falling to the spectators in the audience killing them all instantly.
No, sorry, it makes pretty sparkles. And Shauna is loving every second of it.
And that's it, now it's time for Amateur Hour, starting with some lady doing lame dog tricks with her Furfrou jumping through a hoop.
Shauna reminds us how the competition works, If your theme performance is good enough you move onto the next round, etc, etc.
The woman then has her Furfrou use Double Team to give the illusion of multiple Furfrou jumping through the hoop which is magically floating in mid-air now, and while the Furfrou spin and dance on the floor, as she hula hoops, a Pancham comes out of nowhere and does a Booker T Spinnaroni right there on the stage.
The Pancham then leaps into the air, hangs on a light fixture, and breaks it.
Damn fine construction there.
Two incompetent staffers try to chase the Pancham off the stage, but it runs and knocks them out with a nearby stage cart before making it's exit.
Apparently this stopped the show, proving the old adage of "One Pancham don't stop no show" incorrect, as outside Shauna glowers over how great Aria's performance was, and how great Aria was to look at.
Apparently Shauna somehow got ideas from Aria's performance to do with Bulbasaur, as she's really going to enter the Pokémon Showcase, and she leaves as quickly as she showed up, because apparently the rest of the Showcase is cancelled forever.
Chespin meanwhile imitates Braixen and bonks it's head with the twig it was twirling. The Pancham from earlier then shows up Chespin by spinnaroni-ing again, and perfectly balancing the twig on it's head before telling the twerps to lick it's ass and running off.
This super pisses off Chespin, as it refuses to lick anyone's ass, unless it's a cute girl and chases down Pancham. The twerps come to a three-pronged fork in the road, and Ash and Serena split up and Bonnie and Clemont go the other way.
Ash runs until he's ambushed by Pancham, who steals his hat, and now he done fucked up, because nobody touches Ash's hat.
It then runs over to Clemont and steals his glasses, which is unfortunate for him because he's a blind as a Zubat without them, and he runs into a rock.
Fennekin and Serena manage to find it wearing Ash's hat and Clemont's glasses fooling around, as they try to figure out what's it doing.
Turns out it likes to perform as it dances with the shit it stole from Ash and Clemont. Serena comes out to talk to it, as it hides the hat and glasses and stands around with all the nonchalant-ness of a bad TV comedy character blatantly trying to act nonchalant, it goes over as well as a bad sitcom as Serena discovers all the shit it stole.
She tells it that if it can promise to stop stealing she'll give it a pair of Sunglasses she just happened to have on her. It takes them, until she... grabs at it's face? And it runs off again.
Bonnie and Clemont find Chespin as Clemont barks at it wanting to know Pancham's whereabouts, as Ash catches up to them and Clemont freaks out because he'll never see another human being again, and will for the rest of his life be stuck talking to trees and rocks (So, Sudowoodo?).
The twerps catch up to Pancham sleeping in the middle of an open field, like ain't shit happening. Chespin wakes it up and it realizes it's surrounded. They demand their stuff, as Serena runs up and declares that she wants to catch Pancham.
Hopefully it goes better than that Corsola that kicked her ass.
She wants to catch Pancham, because she discovered it likes to perform. She gives the twerps their stuff back and mentions that she saw it using their stuff as props by the lake, and that's why it crashed the Pokémon showcase.
So, she asks it to battle and it obliges. Serena starts Fennekin of with a Scratch, but before it can land a mechanical box with an electric net traps Fennekin and flies off. Who could it be?
"Prepare for trouble, you knew Fennekin's name!"
"So now it's time to play our little game!"
"To protect the world from devastation!"
"To unite all people within our nation!"
"To denounce the evils of Truth and love!"
"To extend our reach to the stars above!"
"Jesse!"
"and James!"
"Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!"
"Surrender now or prepare for a well performed fight!"
"Meowth, that's right!"

They then fly off as Ash sends in Fletchinder to Razor Wind their balloon., and they fall to Earth as the balloon explodes killing them all instantly, including Fennekin.
Haha, you should know better than that by now, they're perfectly fine, if not a little knocked out by the crash. The twerps catch up to where they're at and Pancham blasts them in the face with its long, hard ice pillars from the ground.
Thanks to a translation from Meowth, Pancham is apparently pissed they've interrupted it's battle with Serena. Team Rocket sends in their Pokémon, and they both attack it. Pancham dodges Inkay's Psybeam, and explodes Pumpkaboo's Shadow Ball with it's own attack. It then blasts Inkay in the face as Pikachu and Dedenne try to rescue Fennekin from it's net. Pancham joins them as Jesse stands over them and prepares Pumpkaboo to Shadow Ball them from Point Blank. Before it can, however Serena headbutts Pumpkaboo out of the air.
Jesse is pissed now, and has Pumpkaboo go in for a Leech Seed on Serena, as Ash and Clemont stand and watch mouths ajar as Pumpkaboo slowly... very slowly inches towards Serena, offering no help, whats-so-ever.
The Pokémon free Fennekin, and Pancham knocks out Pimpkaboo before it slowly makes its way toward Serena. Chespin vine whips Team Rocket's Pokémon into them, and Pikachu sends them blasting off, as Jesse convinces herself that she can win without Braixen.
Serena and Pancham can now continue their battle, as Pancham starts with the move that Bulbapedia informs me was Dark Pulse. Fennekin dodges and uses Flamethrower but misses, as Pancham punches it right in the stomach. Fennekin goes for another Flamethrower that Pancham dodges, as Fennekin dodges it's next attack and knocks it down with Hidden Power.
Serena throws her Pokéball, but it barely closes before Pancham is ready to kick some more ass. Fennekin then blasts it with Flamethrower and Hidden Power as Serena throws another (or the same) Pokéball. She prays to the Pokémon gods and Pancham that she wants to join her, and... and... IT'S CAUGHT.
Serena caught a Pokémon, which you totally wouldn't know if you read the Japanese name of this episode.
Serena thanks Fennekin, and the twerps celebrate as she tells Pancham that someday she will become Kalos Queen, and if Shauna's lucky, she'll be her First Lady... or whatever.
The twerps congratulate Serena on having a goal, as Ash reminds everyone he's going to become a Pokémon Master, as the journey is...
