Hi! I used to post on the original forums years ago, during the tail-end of the Advanced series. Never got past season nine but have started to get back into the show as my partner's kids have been watching my DVDs, so hopefully soon I'll be caught up. Looking forward to talking about this show and franchise with you guys anew  |

You have a long way to go until you reach the current Pokémon series, so I'll just say good luck. Thanks, I think I'll need it! Amazing how much nostalgia the old episodes are stirring in me, really. That's what led to me checking up on Pokemopolis, only to find it was on its way out. Reliving everything from Kanto to Hoenn so far has been a blast, varying overall series quality notwithstanding the standard of the Gym/Contest episodes is always high. In a way, a sort of "DBZ Kai" take on the show that only focused on locations and characters from the games as well as captures/evolutions/departures would streamline the series one hell of a lot because there is truly a mountain of filler. That said, I'm finding even some of the filler episodes have interesting ideas behind them (let's face it, the entirety of series two is filler, but it still has its moments) and Team Rocket are always funny, even in the weakest episodes. |

Apparently the most common reactions towards the next two series, Sinnoh and Unova, are; "Sinnoh is so cool!" and "Fuck Unova!". And I'm just going to point out that I am amongst the small group of people who thinks the opposite; I thought Sinnoh was okay, but I enjoyed Unova (it's mainly because I loved most of the characters). As for XY, there's nothing set as it's a new series, first folks were praising it - over BW, fuck them - but now they don't know what to make of it.

Hey, the name's BlueHoundoom, but people usually call me Blue. I'm from the old site too, although I never really posted all that much... Probably less than 30 times...
Anyway, I've been playing the games since Pokemon Silver, and watching since 'Wake Up, Snorlax' first played here in Australia. Which I think was when I was 13... So, 16 years now, give or take.
I haven't watched any of the Unova or Kalos episodes yet, as the TV situation isn't working for me.
Basically, our aerial's been busted fr years, so I can't watch any free-to-air channels. And pay Cartoon Network just replays the same season 4-5 times. (We didn't get the final Sinnoh League season until everyone was finishing up the first Unova one...)
So I'm focusing on collecting the DVD's instead. (at least until they either end the show, or drop Ash as the 'hero') One day, I'll do a huge marathon. It'll take 3-4 months, but I'll eventually get through every episode and movie.
Okay, I'm done now.

I hope you remember me. I decided to join these new forums after all because not being able to discuss the series and the games anywhere else properly was driving me crazy. Oh, and of course I missed you guys as well. I've been a somewhat regular lurker for a while, but I guess now it's time to get back on the Horsea.

Yes, other Pokémon forums are hard to discuss in because they're so full of stuff. A simple forum like this is much easier.

Greetings and salutations, I am Extroth. I stalked the old website but I never posted there. I was rather sad to see the old site go but I discovered this one and decided that you guys didn't have enough people posting here so I'm here to help fix that.
I've played the games since I was nine and watched the anime about a month or so longer then that. I really enjoy competitive battling though the jury is still out on whether or not I'm good at it. I've spent some time over on the Bulbagarden forums but their anime discussions get's a little to serous for me (I once got yelled at by a Pokeshiper for telling her that Misty was probably never coming back, and I was given a waring for trolling even though I was just stating my opinion) so I prefer the more funny reading way to far into things for laughs that the old site had going for it.
So here I am I hope to see you all around.
