And I'm back! I wanted to start this before SNL started, but I had something else to do. I took a shitload of pics, including some of food. I had to get them off the phone, check them for usability(I can't think of a better term), rename them, and email them to my home and work. I also tried taking a nap before Bones came on. It looks like I may have seen it before, so maybe I should have typed this, then took a nap. Well whatever. Actually, I only saw the beginning of the episode before, where the body of the week is discovered.
Wed: For my meal, I got Chinese food from the place near my parents house. It was all good. I got Crab Rangoon(6), Shrimp Chow Mein, and Chicken Soup With Sizzling Rice, but they forgot the rice.
Thu: This was the WM meal, and here is the story. On Tues, I went there to get stuff from their hot section/deli. They didn't have some stuff I wanted. The one lady said to call ahead so they can make the stuff before they turn the fryers off. On Wed, I called up WM and placed my order. Later I went over there. My stuff wasn't there. Apparently they turned the fryers off early because they had to drain and clean them, and the lady who took my order didn't know it. I then called back on Thu. I went there and my food was ready. Thankfully I double checked what they had since they had chicken wings instead of jalapeno poppers. Fortunately, they had enough in the display, so I got those. When I got to my parents house, I put the stuff in the fridge.
I also got a snack at WM. It was a cup of Popcorn Chicken. It was good. I would have gotten the shrimp instead, but the didn't have any.
The first thing I'll mention is the small Quiche Lorraine. I'm going to be lazy and not measure the diameter of the pie tin it was in. I heated it up in the oven at 350F for at least 7 min. It was good.
After the QL was done, I put the other stuff on a cookie sheet and put it in the oven.
I had 4 pieces of catfish. They were good. I actually wanted some other kind of fish(tilapia or swai) that they have, but I just said fish, since I only thought they had the one kind.
I had jalapeno poppers. They were good.
Of course I had mozzarella sticks. Since they weren't fresh, they didn't taste so good. That could have also been that they weren't hot enough. When I had 2.5 left, I put them in the microwave. I don't remember how long, or if I used full power. They tasted way better.
Fri: I made another batch of hamburgers. These were even more elaborate than the Sun ones.
I opened up a can of tomato sauce(not what you Brits/Ozzies/Kiwis call ketchup), and put it in a small pot. It tasted like tomato juice, so I put some spices in. Garlic powder, "Italian Seasoning", and I think paprika and a bit of red pepper flakes. I also used some parmesan cheese. I'll get back to it in a bit.
I took the buns and opened them up. I put margarine on the inside sides of each one, then added garlic powder. I put them on the cookie sheet and put them in the oven, which was 425F. I set the timer for 10 min, but took them out a bit before that. They were hard on the exterior sides, and soft on the interior sides. I put them inside the microwave to keep warm.
I took the rest of the onions and put them in the pan with some canola oil. I fried them a bit, until they softened, and maybe shrunk a bit. After the cooled a bit, I put them in the bowl with the hamburger meat. I then put some spices in. I used garlic powder and the "Italian Seasoning". I was going to use paprika, but I accidentally used chili powder instead. I don't think I used black pepper or red pepper flakes. I added a bit of the tomato sauce before I added the spices to the ts. I was going to add parmesan cheese, but I forgot. I mixed everything together and made 4 balls. I took the second half of the mozzarella cheese block and cut it into 8 strips. I then cut all of them in half. I then took each ball and put 3 pieces of cheese in the middle and formed them into burgers. I then fried them up. Some of the cheese came out, but I was able to keep it with the burgers. When they were done, I but them on the bun bottoms. I then took the last 4 pieces of cheese, and cut them into 4. I put 1 quartet of cheese on each burger. On the first one, I put the bun top on. It was good. On the next one, I put tomato sauce on the bun top then put it on the burger. It was good. On the last 2, after putting the sauce on the bun top, I put parmesan also. They were good.
I also had the rest of the bag of fries. Like I mentioned for Sun, I didn't evenly parcel them out. This time I had a lot more. I cooked them in the oven for at least 15min at 450F. I then took them out of the oven. I saw the pan I fried the burgers in had a lot of grease in it, so I got an idea. I dumped the fries in and turned the burner back on. I cooked them for a while, stirring them. I ended up tipping the pan up, and getting the fries cooked in more grease at one time. I would stir them around so all the fries go this treatment. They came out quite crispy. They were good. I dipped some of them in the remaining tomato sauce, which was also good.
After I picked up my meal, I went to Taco Bell for a snack. I got an order of those Nacho Fries. Before I placed my order, I asked if they had substitutions for the nacho cheese. They had ranch, sour cream, and guacamole. Well, I think that's all they had. I chose the guacamole. The fries were good alone and with the guac. The fries had quite a bit of spice on them, but there wasn't any heat.
I'll have my actual meal in a bit.
That is all for this week. I wanted to get this finished earlier. After I eat, I'm going to sleep. When I get up, I'm going to feed the cat and clean her litterbox. I'm then going back to my house and do a bunch of stuff to get ready for work on Mon.
Next week, I'll be posting from my own house again. See you then!

It's the weekend again. I had a shitty week at work due to the asst mgr hassling me. The manager was doing training M-Th. She was supposed to meet with me Fri, but didn't, so I'll have to deal with crap on Mon. I was VERY tempted to stress eat. I refrained from doing so. I went to the doctor's office to make my Oct appointment. The scale is right there, so I weighed myself. I had put back on all the weight I lost since I moved into my house. I figured I should cut way back on my snacking. The only snacking I did was Mon, which I do because I don't have a full meal on Sun, Thu, which was preplanned, and "today", which was some pancakes from IHOP that my parents didn't eat. I'll also snack a bit later, after I take a nap in a little bit. I'll only review the Thu and what I have later.
It's time to start, but I'm only going to be here for a few min.
Sat: I got a pizza at Papa Murphy's. I went close to closing, because they have stuff that they will have to toss ad reduced price. I was hoping they had cheesy bread, but they didn't. They did have a family-size garlic chicken pizza dropped to large price, so I got that. I baked it later. It was good. I was a little apprehensive because I've never had chicken on a pizza.
Sun: My meal was a box of Triscuits. They were the Garden Herb variety. They were good.
Mon: My meal was fried rice and veggies, using peas and carrots. It was good alone and with my 3 items.
I used up the last of the Louisiana Supreme Jalapeno Pepper Sauce.
Tue: My meal was the same as Mon. I opened a new bottle of hot sauce. It was Louisiana Supreme Hot Sauce. I guess it's good. I don't remember how hot it is, and I'm not going to try some right now.
Wed: My meal was fried rice and veggies, using peas and carrots. The only thing I added to the pan was the hot sauce. The stuff didn't brown as good as usual. It was good alone and with my 3 items.
Thu: After doing a bunch of grocery shopping, I got a snack at Church's Chicken. They have these chunks of chicken called MegaBites. They have 3 different meals. I decided to get the $3 one. According to the sign on the window, It was 5 pieces and fries. When I placed my order, the guy asked if I wanted fries. I then asked if I can get another side. He said yes, so I got (battered and)fried okra instead. When I opened the box, I saw that besides the chicken and okra, there was a biscuit. There was a lot of okra in there. I also got 6 pieces of chicken. The biscuit was good. The okra was good, but I think the ones I get at the hot section of one grocery store are better. The chicken was good.
My meal was fried rice and veggies using peas and carrots. It was good alone and with my 3 items.
Fri: My meal was something I hadn't had for 2 months: pasta and spinach. I'm back to using regular(ie non-gluten-free) pasta. It was the rotini shape. That seems to be the best shape for this. Like last time, I mixed the spinach in the pot with the rotini, and some canola oil, after they were both done, instead of doing it on my plate. The spinach was from Birds Eye. The instructions don't mention adding water, but it says to drain water. When I cook it, the spinach is actually a bit dried out, making it a bit of a pain to stir into the rotini. Next time, I should add some water, even though the instructions don't say to. It was good. I had it by itself, and with black pepper and hot sauce. I would have also tried soy sauce, but I'm VERY low on it, and want to use it with my meal later.
My meat item was a can of Crown Prince sardines, in tomato sauce. They were good. I did have a problem with the can, even though I used the good can opener. There were a lot of uncut spots. I had to get the ancient can opener to finish the job. When I was doing this, I cut my thumb. Thankfully, it only bled a little bit. I think I will look and see if the grocery stores sell a second-generation can opener(I explained can openers in my 5/7/17 post).
Sat: My first snack was some Haribo Golden Bears. They were the Sour kind. They were good. There was just a small bit of sourness, which lasted briefly.
Then I had 2 kinds of cookies. One was Strawberry Newtons. The other was Chewy Chips Ahoy; the chocolate ones with pieces of Reeses Peanut Butter Cups. They were good. The packages were tiny. I only ate half of each one because I wanted to save the rest for next week. I also had these for a certain reason, which I'll mention in my next post.
That's it for the food. For my meal, I'm trying a different brand of something. I'll be posting something else in a little bit.

Ok, I'm back. I'm creating another post because this is how I've always done it.
I did something I haven't done in a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time. I had an alcoholic beverage. I got 2 bottles of wine from my mom because she is not supposed to have wine. I had one, and am planning to have the other next week.
This was a tiny, 1 or 2 servings, bottle. It was White Zinfandel from a company called Beringer. To me, it just tasted like wine. I've mentioned somewhere back about my not being able to really taste alcoholic beverages; where everything just seems to have a generic taste.
This time, I wanted to have some food with it. That's where the cookies I mentioned above come in. I asked a coworker(thanks CS) what dessertish foods would go well with the wine, including some stuff on sale. Using her suggestions, I bought the cookies I mentioned above.
I am a bit confused when it comes to pairing foods with wine. Is it to keep the food from ruining the wine flavor, or vice versa? All I know is that the wine did not ruin the flavor of the cookies.
That is finally it for this week. I think I will take a 2nd nap before I have my meal. This will give my stomach some time to settle down, and I can determine if I need to take a dump.
I'm planning on being back next week.

It's the weekend again, so it's time for me to do my thing.
I watched SNL since it was a repeat of the one from 2002 where John McCain was the host. I then finished my reading, then took a nap. Since the TMZ weekend show isn't going to be on, I kind of want to take another nap after Bones.
So on with the food.
I almost forgot something, which I actually did last week. After I mowed the lawn on Sat, I had a bottle of Powerade. It was Strawberry Lemonade. It was good I guess. It was right out of the fridge, so it was very cold, which actually made it a bit hard to taste, because the coldness was almost a bit painful.
Sat: Let me put the stuff in reverse order this time. I made a box of Zatarain's Yellow Rice. It was good. My meat item was 2 packages of John Morrell Hot Smoked Sausage. They were 7oz, and on sale for $0.88 each, making them cheaper than the 14oz package of Eckrich sausage when it's on sale. I tried it plain and with some stuff. Here is my list: plain: It was good. There was a small amount of heat. mustard: It was good. Deutsche Kuche Whole Grain mustard. It was good. black pepper: Not much difference. hot sauce: Not much difference. soy sauce: Not much difference.
Sun: I had a box of Triscuit crackers. They were the Garden Herb variety. They were good. I don't know what they mean by garden herb, since all herbs can come from a garden.
Mon: I had a snack. It was a bag of Boulder Canyon kettle chips that were cooked in coconut oil. They were the Sea Salt variety. They were good. I don't recall them tasting different because of the coconut oil or sea salt.
My meal was fried rice and veggies. I used half a bag of frozen broccoli from Birds Eye. I also added something else this time. Last Fri after cooking my rotini, I saved the water I cooked it in. Sometimes I would let the container sit with the top off to let some of the water evaporate, both inside and outside the fridge. What I ended up with is a goopy, watery mass of starch. I added some of this to the pan when it was cooking. I don't think it changed the consistency or taste. The meal was good alone and with my 3 items.
My meat item was half a package of Oscar Mayer bologna. I had it plain and with mustard. It was good.
Tue: The meal was the same as Mon, including the starch goop and bologna.
With this meal, I used up the rest of the Louisiana Supreme Hot Sauce.
Wed: I made my veggie fajitas. I used half a bag of frozen peas and carrots. I also used 1/2 cup(before cooking) rice. I didn't add any spices or condiments, since I wanted to see what the beans added. For said beans, I used half a can of Mrs. Grimes Spicy Hot Chili Beans. I don't think I've told you what I do with the beans when I use them. I move the stuff in the pan away from the center. I then add the beans to the center of the pan. I then use the big spoon to smash them up. Then I mix them with the other stuff in the pan. These beans have a good news/ bad news aspect. The good news is that if you are eating them normally, there is not a lot of sauce, thus more beans. For my purpose, that is bad news, since it adds less liquid to the food mixture.
Like I said above, I ran out of hot sauce Tue. I opened a new bottle. This time, it was a bottle of Valentina. It is the variety with the black label, which is hotter than the orange label.
I've mentioned elsewhere how I prepare the tortillas, and the order I eat them, and what I put on them. Even though the mixture was a bit dry, it was good will all permutations. The beans didn't seem hot, but that may be different if you prepare them normally, and have them hot off the stove.
Thu: I had a snack. The one grocery chain had cooked crayfish on sale for $3.99lb. Since I've never had them before, I decided to try them. I picked up a dozen. I reheated them in the microwave. To eat them, you're supposed to break off the tail and eat the meat out of it, then you're supposed to suck on the body to suck out what you can. I did things ab it different. I bit off the legs and chewed them up, which was ok. Most of them were missing the front claws. For the ones that were there, I chewed on them, but spit out the pieces of shell. I then broke off the tail and set it aside. I then broke open the shell of the body. I ate all the stuff inside. It didn't taste that great, probably because there is stuff I shouldn't eat. This included some internal organ that had black liquid seep out. I then got the tail out of the shell and ate it, which was good. Due the size/cost ratio, including a lot going to waste, I probably won't eat these again.
The crayfish were cooked in some spicy liquid. I only noticed a bit of heat when eating the first one. I had a bunch of the stuff on my fingers, which I licked off. A word of warning though. After eating these, you should thoroughly wash your hands. After I ate these and licked off my fingers, I did some "man scratching". It did not feel good. I can use the phrase "feel the burn" to describe things.
I took the shell pieces and put them in the bag the crayfish came in and stuck it in the freeze. I think I saw on Cook's Country or America's Test kitchen that you can boil this stuff and make a broth.
My meal was veggie fajitas. This time I used all my spices/condiments/waters. This included water from 3 different hot sauce bottles. Due to all the other stuff I added, the mixture was more moist than Wed. The meal was good.
I figured that eating the crayfish would affect my digestive system in that I would have to take a dump before work. That did happen. But I had some thing else happen. Before I went out the door, I took my pills. I just had a sip of water. Somehow that little bit got my insides riled up. Since I was already running late, I didn't go back in the bathroom. I figured either things would calm down, or I would have to take a work dump. I felt even worse on my drive. I then had to make my way to my desk. Well anyway, things did calm down, and I didn't take a dump. The next time I went was Sat morning before I cooked my Fri meal.
Fri: I had 3 snacks. First was a package of Maruchan ramen. It was the Beef flavor. It was good. I had the other 2 while watching TMZ. I had a package of Lunch Mate chicken. It was good. I also had a store-brand bag of veggie straws from the h/n/o store. They were good.
As for the meal, I'll list it in reverse order.
My snack item was a bag of TGI Fridays Sour Cream & Onion Potato Skins. These are in the potato chip family, maybe in the Pringles region. They were good. It was a large bag at 18oz. I was able to eat the whole thing. I remember when that would be considered "family size", not one half that(I'm looking at you Lay's).
My main item was a package of bangers from Parkview. They were the Ale & Onion variety. I put some canola oil in the cast iron pan and preheated it. I put the bangers in. Be careful if you are doing this naked. They started sizzling when they hit the pan, and I got splattered in the crotch. I cooked them until they were browned on all sides. I then took the pan off the burner and set it in the oven to cool off for a while. Since these are not bun-oriented sausages, I didn't do so, but I did try something else. I'll get to that in a bit. Well, I did make a list of my findings: plain: They were ok. Like I said when I had the plain ones, they taste like the gray bratwursts that are the size of hotdogs. I didn't notice any different flavors than the plain ones. mustard: They were ok. black pepper: They were ok. hot sauce: They were ok. soy sauce: Not much difference.
That is not all. On Thu, I bought a bag of corn tortillas which I plan to use next week. I decided to use some here. I tried one plain and with the items, which didn't taste good. I had 3 sausages left. I cut 3 tortillas in half. Now what I planned on doing was cutting each banger in half crosswise. I would then cut those in half lengthwise. I would put an item between the halves and put them back together. I would then put some more of the said item on the tortilla, put the banger half on, then roll it up. For some reason, I decided to do something different. I cut the banger lengthwise. I then cut one of these halves lengthwise, and put hose pieces on the tortilla half. I then put an item on. I then kindof folded the tortilla half around the banger pieces when I ate it. And I made another list: plain: It was actually good, somehow it was better than just the plain banger pieces by themselves. mustard: It was ok. hot sauce: It was ok. black pepper: It was ok. soy sauce: It was ok. everything: It was ok.
I also used 2 tortillas to wipe up the grease in the pan(much to my mom's chagrin). That was good.
Sat: I finished up a jar of peanut butter. It was a store-brand creamy. It was good.
I finished up the bag of Haribo sour gummy bears. Same as last week.
I also finished up the Strawberry Newtons and Chewy Chips Ahoy with RPB chunks. Both were good. Like last week, I will give another post.
I'll eat in a little while. I'll be back in a bit.

Like last week, I had a small bottle of wine from a company called Beringer. This time it was Red Moscato. It was better than the White Zinfandel from last week, but still had the wine-y taste.
I had the cookies with it.
I'm kind of thinking it had an effect on me this time. I was feeling drowsy and dozed off for a bit. When I woke up, I felt shitty. A bit later, I went to bed and took another nap. When I woke up, I still felt crappy. I've since been large burps. I am felling better, but I don't know if that is because of the burping. I forgot to look at the label, but I think it is 2 glasses worth.
I should also mention that I still have a ton of those little booze bottles that I haven't opened. I should get off my ass and get to those. Hopefully they don't they don't go bad sitting around for a couple of years.
I feels like I have some poo "on deck"(baseball term for you non-Americans), so I will take care of that before I eat.
I will be doing an experiment that can be described as doing something I've done before with something I've had before.
Due to my feeling crappy, taking a nap, doing some reading and looking at YT, it is now 10:11am.
See you next week, unless I post this meal tomorrow.

Like I said last time, I might be back today, and here I am. I have an important reason to in that I need to correct an error. I'll get to that in a minute.
My meal yesterday was a package of El Monterey burritos. They were the Chicken, Rice & Beans variety. I cooked them in the microwave. It took longer than it did at my parents old house, even though I assume my microwave is better. They were good.
The error was about doing an experiment. I was planning on doing the thing where I defrost all of them in the microwave. I would then cook 4 of them in the microwave. I would then cook the other 4 in my pot of oil. I checked this thread and saw that I already did that with this variety. I was still planning on doing it, but decided not to for 2 reasons besides having already done it: 1. It was getting late, and I didn't want to take the time to cook them. 2. It's actually not very healthy.
Well that's it . My "Sun" meal is done, so I will eat after it cools off a bit.
See you next week.

This caps the end of what became a shitty week. I'm starting this at 2:43am. I didn't have to watch SNL because I've seen it more than once, but I did watch the Weekend Update section. I then watched an episode of Law & Order, doing my reading during commercials. At 1am, I went to take a nap, but was delayed for a bit. I then got up for 2am to watch Bones. I had to finish my reading during the commercials.
I realized I made a small error last week. I used water from 4 different hot sauce bottles, not 3.
I didn't do any stress eating until Fri, even though I had a good reason to starting on Wed. I'll get to that later. Now let's get to the food.
Sun: Since Mon was Labor Day, and didn't have to go to work, I decided to make soup. Let me c/p a bit now. Since I don't have potatoes, I cooked 1/4 cup of rice. I then fried some onion and cabbage, then threw it in the pot. I then put some uncooked cabbage and onion in the pot. I cooked half a bag of frozen peas and carrots then threw it in the pot. I then poured in 1 box of chicken broth. Finally I added some water to fill the pot some more. I then brought it to a boil. I then turned the burner down to simmer. I then waited 20 min. Then I stirred it up. I then waited another 20 min. When that 20 min was up, I stirred the soup again and added a new item. It was a 1lb bag of frozen shrimp that I had thawed out. I drank the water in the bag and it was good. There were between 51-60 shrimp in the bag. Usually, the bigger ones(31-40) are only on sale. I then waited another 20 min, then it was done. I tried the soup plain and with other stuff. And yes, I made a list: plain: It was good. canola oil: Not much difference. mustard: Not much difference. soy sauce: Not much difference. pepper: It didn't add flavor, but added some heat. garlic powder: Not much difference. chili powder: Not much difference. hot sauce: Not much difference, but added a little heat. everything: It was ok.
Mon: I made my veggie fajitas. This time I just used 1/2 a can of chili beans from ALDI. I didn't add any spices.... to the pan. I also did something different. Instead of using the flour tortillas, I used corn tortillas, which I mentioned last week. This one grocery store sells a 5lb bag(70 count) for $2.79. I didn't cook them. I just put some stuff in them and rolled them up. I don't remember how many I used, but I am thinking over 8. I tried them plain, with my 3 items, and combos of the 3. Theywere all good.
Tue: The meal was the same as Mon, except I added everything to the pan.
I also used up the rest of the mustard. I won't open a new bottle until I have something that I use it on.
Wed: I made my fried rice and veggies, using p&c. Due to my using tortillas, I only used 1/2 cup of rice. Since I didn't want the rice mixture to have a "crust", I didn't cook it as long as usual. It was good alone and with my 3 items.
Thu: It was the same as Wed, except I used some cumin that I had bought on Mon at ALDI.
Fri: Now it's time to discuss why I was stressed. I got to work and parked in the parking garage that is the lower 2 floors of the building. I got out of my car and went up the elevator. There is a revolving door that you have to put a security card in front of a scanner in order to operate. I did that, but the door didn't activate. There are also 2 other entrance thingies like these: r2.securityinfowatch.com/files/base/SIW/image/2018/03/16x9/640x360/boon_edam_revolving_doors.5aa1a293d283b.jpg but ours have the card scanners on the outside. I tried my card with those, and they didn't open. There is an intercom to talk with security. I asked them if they could send a guard to let me in, after showing my id badge. They were dicks and wouldn't do that. They told me to go to the other entrance, then go to a room nearby to get a new access card. There were 2 problems. First is that the other entrance is from another parking garage that is its own building. Second is that there is a different procedure to use that parking garage, which I don't know how to do. This meant I ended up walking out of the building and over to the other parking garage. It is a very long walk, especially since I was wearing boots. I got in, and got a new access card. I then had to walk all the way over to my area. What made it even worse is that I had an interview for a better job I then had to walk over there. My shirt was stuck to my back, and I'm pretty sure my face was flushed. After the interview, I walked back to my car to change out of my "nice" shirt, and my regular shirt and coat on. I then walked back to my work area.
I got the email about the interview on Wed, so I was stressed Wed an Thu, but did not stress eat.
I was so worn out, that I was almost considering not going to the store after work. I decided to go, because I wanted to pick up something for "tonight". I'll be mentioning the store a few more times.
Now for the snacks.
The first thing I had was a bag of Gourmet Select Crispy Onions. They were Garlic Pepper flavor. They were good. These aren't really meant to be eaten by themselves. I think these are what are put on top of a green bean casserole. Here is a pic: cutpcdnwimages.azureedge.net/images/products/425000/429396-600x600-A.jpg
I got the second snack at the grocery store. I walked past the hot food section. I saw some fish. The worker told me it was tilapia, and was $3.99/lb. I got 3 pieces. When I had them, they were room temperature. They were good. There were some kind of herbs on the breading. I could also taste that they also added lemon juice.
My last snack was a bag of Flamin Hot Cheetos. I found these under a bunch of crap on my other desk. This means they were very old. I think I found the bag, and it said Jan 31. They were ok, but not hot at all. Well, let me clarify that. They were not hot going IN. Around 5pm on Sat, I felt pain/pressure in my digestive sys. I went to take a dump. My ass was burning.
My meal was the pasta and spinach. The pasta was the 2nd half of a bag of rotini. I did try something new though. At the grocery store, they had there own brand of cottage cheese on sale for $0.69 for a 12oz container. I added it to the pot after I had mixed in the spinach. The mixture was good alone and with my 3 items.
I need to mention the cottage cheese. Previous times I've eaten it, it's been that small pieces in a lot of liquid. This time, it was almost dry, and was tine pieces. It was the consistency of ricotta cheese. I looked at the container a while ago, and it said it was fat free. This cottage cheese was probably better suited for my purpose.
Sat: At the grocery store, they were having a sale on Little Debbie Fall items. It was 2/$4 with a coupon. I got a box of chocolate Fall Party Cakes. I had 2 packages(each one has 2). They were good. I also got a box of Pumpkin Spice Rolls. I had 2 packages(1 per package). They were good even though there was not a strong pumpkin pie taste.
I also had something to drink, which I bought at ALDI. It was a bottle of sparking(aka carbonated) lemonade from what I think is a company called Journey To France. It was ok. The lemon taste wasn't very strong.
I need to talk about the bottle. It came in a glass bottle that looked like a wine bottle, except for the top. The top is what is apparently called a clamp stopper. Here is a pic of that kind of top: www.whereibuyit.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/Glass-Bottle-with-Clamp-Stopper.jpg
I once had a bottle of Fischer's Ale with the same kind of top. Since then, I forgot how to open it up, and had to find a YT vid to relearn how. The first time I opened up the bottle, it made a loud pop, like what champagne sounds like on tv.
I will be having my meal in a while. I want to watch Washington Week In Review online first, since it didn't come on Sun morn due to pledge drive stuff. I think I will also take a nap. I will most likely only have 1 thing to review from this meal.
I'm done, so I'll see you next week.

This is another late start. I watched most of SNL. It was the episode with Ronald Glover. I did some reading during some sketches I didn't care about. I dozed off near the end. I then did some reading until 1am. I tried to take a nap until 2. Now I am typing this while watching Bones. I still need to finish my reading.
Sat: The only thing that I had to mention was a can of store-brand Chunk Chicken Breast in water. It was good.
Sun: I had a bag of Pepperidge Farms pretzel Goldfish. They were good.
Mon: I used 2 packages of Maruchan beef ramen instead of rice with my veggies. I used half a package of peas and carrots. I didn't add any spices.... to the pan. I only used 2 packages of ramen because I put the mixture on the tortillas. They were good plain and with my 3 items.
Tue: I made my fried rice and veggies with the other half of the bag of p&c. I upped the rice this time to 3/4 cup(before cooking). I added all the spices.... I used tortillas again. This time, I took 4 out of the bag and prepared them in the pan like I do the flour tortillas. You can find that in an earlier post or 2. The one I put in the pan without any oil did not get any browning, just got hot. I guess I didn't leave it in long enough. The one I tried to make into a flat bottom folded in a bit on one side near the bottom. I probably had the plain cooked one plain. I don't remember what I used on the oil-cooked ones. I also still had a bunch of uncooked ones. They were all good, both plain and cooked, plain and with my 3 items. The oil-cooked ones were really good, even though a bit greasy. Going by how the cooked in the oil, I think they have some wheat flour in them.
Wed: I only had 7 tortillas left. I cooked the first one without any oil. I left in in the pan longer than the one on Tue. It shrunk some. It got some browning, and turned a bit yellow. For the other 6, I doubled each oil cooking method. Once again, I had some problem with the flat bottom ones. I again made my fried rice and veggies, using 3/4 cup of rice. Instead of p&c, I used half a bag of Birds Eye frozen broccoli. This means I had to cut the pieces up halfway through cooking. The stuff on the tortillas was good. I had all 3 of my items while eating. I put soy sauce on the one without oil, and I had one of the flat bottom ones plain. I don't remember what I used on the other 5. After the tortillas, I has some of the rice/veg mix left over. I just ate that normally with my chopsticks, both plain and with my 3 items. It was also good.
Thu: I did quite a bit of stress/anger snacking.
Now let me narrate the genesis of my perturbance. In the previous week's ALDI ad, which goes from Wed-Tue, they had 8oz packages of sliced mushrooms for $.99. I figured I would pick some up the next Tue(aka the Tue listed above). I went to one ALDI, where I picked up a bunch of other stuff. I intended to get a bag of rice. There was one on the shelf, and there wasn't any worker there stocking items that I could ask if they had in the back. I thought I would run out this week, so I decided to get some at the other ALDI instead of the mushrooms. They had the rice, so I just bought that and left. On Thu, I went to another ALDI, figuring they would have some left. If not, I would get a regular package of mushrooms, which was regularly $.99. I went in there, and there were no sliced mushrooms. The price placard was still on the sign hanging from the ceiling. I was going to get some regular mushrooms then. I looked up at the sign, and it showed they went up to $1.49. I was like "fuck it" and went home.
First, I opened up a package of generic brand Bacon Pieces and had some of them. They were good. Next, I opened up a bag of Good Sense Sesame Oat Bran Sticks. They were good. Later I had 2 things. One of them was a can of Brookdale Vienna Sausages. They were good. The other item was a bag of Boulder Canyon Avocado Oil Canyon Cut Sea Salt kettle chips. They were good. I don't seem to remember them tasting different due to being cooked in avocado oil.
My meal was fried rice and veggies, using the other half of the bag of frozen broccoli. Since I didn't have any tortillas, I was back to using my full cup(before cooking) of rice. I had the meal alone and with my 3 items. It was good.
Fri: I had 3 snacks. I got the first one at QuikTrip. When I was out shopping, for some stuff for yesterday's and today's meals, I wanted to put some gas in the car. I stopped at QT because it was between the 2 stores. After I got my gas, I went inside. A couple of weeks ago, they took down the signs for the Buffalo Chicken Bites at another QT. I was expecting them to not be there. They still had them, but I guess the regular price is around $1.50. I decided to get 2 eggrolls instead because they were $.99. The sign said somethin about pork and vegetable. I don't know if that meant they all had both, or some were both and some were all veggie. The first one I had was ok. It had pork in it. The pork taste was a bit too strong. It would have worked if I put soy sauce on it, or some other Asian sauce. The other one was good. If it had pork, I don't recall tasting it. The other snack was a bag of veggie chips from the h/n/o store. They were good. Later I had some of those bacon pieces.
For my meal, I had a snack item. It was a bag of Lay's potato chips. They were Wavy, and Ranch flavor. They were good. I didn't finish the bag. I'll probably eat the little bit left with "today's" meal. There is one big negative. The bag is only 7.75oz, even though it costs the same as the regular sized bags. This is even less than what is in the kettle chip bags.
The main item was one of my big sandwiches. I would call it a Huxtable, but, you know, Bill Cosby. I took a loaf of Italian bread and cut it into a top and bottom. I didn't do a good job, since the bottom was much thicker than the top(I've heard black guys like that). The meat item was fish. It will get its own 2 paragraphs.
I called 2 stores to ask about the fish. The one grocery chain store doesn't sell by weight. They charge $2 per piece. The guy couldn't tell me how many pieces would make a pound. The other store(where I sliced my finger open in the car) charged $7.99lb. Going by the fish(which is catfish) I get at another store, I figured the pieces would be light, so I decided on the 2nd store. I got 5 pieces. The price tag said $14. It also said that the fish was $8.99lb. I told the lady that I was told it was $1 cheaper. She said the price increased overnight. The pieces were heavy, so it ended up being 1.5lb. If the fish at the other store was the same density, I should have gotten it there instead, and saved $4. That pissed me off.
When I got home, I put the box, still inside the bag, in the fridge. When I took the box out to get to room temp. The box was wet, meaning the steam from the fish didn't escape. I figured the coating on the fish would be soggy. I preheated the oven to 400F. When it was ready, I put the fish on a cookie sheet and put it in for 10 min. After that I took it out. the fish was hot. The coating wasn't crispy, but at least it wasn't soggy. I then put it on the bread.
Next, I put on an 8oz block of mozzarella which I had sliced up ahead of time. Next was tomatoes. I used 1.5 roma tomatoes. I cut them lengthwise, instead of the regular crosswise. I maybe would have added more, but they didn't sit very well on top of the fish/cheese. Finally was the lettuce. I should have torn it into smaller pieces, since it would have probably sat on the other stuff better.
As for the taste, it was good. I could actually taste the fish. Besides the bread being uneven(between top and bottom), I had one negative. The sandwich was dry, since I didn't put any condiments on it. I didn't get up and check my condiment container in the fridge to see if there was anything I could use.
I was able to finish the whole sandwich, but I was stuffed. That was probably due to the potato chips. I don't think it was from the veggie chips, since I wad those way before my meal. I was also having that problem of not being able to burp. I think that was still happening into Sat evening. I got a super late start. After I got done eating, I looked online for a little while. I ended up going to bed around 1:30pm Sat.
That's it for this week. I didn't have a snack "today" because I was still feeling non-empty, and I wanted to make sure I had ample room in my stomach for my meal.
I should be posting next week. So, until then!

I'm getting a super late start this time. I watched most of SNL, and did some reading during some of the sketches and the 2 music performances. I finished my reading during one of the episodes of Bob's Burgers. I then felt too tired to start typing. I then took a nap from about 1-2am. I then got up to watch Bones. I was going to start typing, but I wanted to look for a map of part of an old MoPac rail line and yard. Now, I just put my clothes in the dryer. I think there is something in the water, because my clothes have a bit of an odd smell, even though I washed them. I think I'm going to take a dump in a bit also.
Now for the food.
I had snacks Mon and Thu, but won't review them.
I snacked on that package of bacon pieces a few more times, until I finished it "Fri".
Sat: First, I finished up the bag of Lay's Wavy Ranch chips. There was just a tiny bit left. They were good.
Then, I made another sandwich. This time, I cut the loaf of French bread better. The sandwich was the same as Fri, except for 2 things. Most importantly was the meat. I used 2 1lb packages of bacon. When I tried using bacon a while back, I cooked it too hot and/or too long, and ended up being all burned crunch. I wanted it to be a bit meaty this time. I only set the burner to 5. Since it was that low, I decided to use my regular pan. I also thought I would be able to put more in, but I decided to do only 3 strips at a time. I would fry them for a bit, then flip them over. When I got done with each piece, I put in in my small casserole dish. When I first started, I put some canola oil in the pan. I don't recall if I added more in. The fat cooked out, so that started filling up the pan, so I didn't need any more oil.
As for the fat/grease that cooked out of the bacon; there was quite a bit in the pan. Since my fish sandwich the day before was dry, I had an idea. After the bacon was done, I think I set the pan in the oven to cool off a bit. I took a big spoon and spooned the grease on each half of the bread. I then put the bacon on the bread It laid flatter than the fish. I then spooned some more grease on top of the bacon. I then took an 8oz block of mozzarella cheese that I had cut up earlier, and put it on top of the bacon. I then added more grease. I had half a roma tomato left from the previous day. I cut that lengthwise and put it on. I then cut up another tomato lengthwise and put it on. I can't remember if I did the same with a second tomato. I then spooned on more oil. I then tore up pieces of lettuce and put it on top. I still had some grease left, so I put it on the top half of the loaf. I then pressed the sandwich down a bit. Of course it was way to big and heavy to pick up to eat. I just cut pieces off to eat
As for the taste, it was good. I could taste the bacon, and it wasn't a burnt crunchy mess. It was definitely not dry. It made my fingers greasy. Some of the grease spilled out the end of the sandwich. I'd take the sandwich pieces and dip them in the spilled out grease.
I ate the whole thing. I was full. I was thirsty afterward, so I drank a bunch of water. That made me feel stuffed. Well, I think I may have also had that problem where I couldn't burp. I felt so full, I didn't eat anything on Sun. I just drank some water.
Mon: I told you last week about my frustration in my search for mushrooms. On Mon, I went to another ALDI. They still had packages of sliced mushrooms on sale, so I bought one. When it was time for me to make my meal, I took the mushrooms and cut them into smaller pieces. I then put them in the pan with some canola oil. I stirred them around. I cooked them just long enough to get soft and brown a bit. I then dumped them on my plate. I then made my fired rice and veggies, using half a bag of p&c. When that was almost done, I dumped the mushrooms in and stirred them in the mix. It was good plain and with my 3 items. As for the mushrooms though, I only tasted them with the first few bites(plain). They're on sale again this sales week(Wed-Tue). I'm going to get some more to try again. I also want to get another package to try with another kind of meal.
Tue: I had 3 tomatoes left, along with a lot of lettuce. I was thinking what I should do. The obvious answer was make hamburgers, but I didn't feel like picking up the buns and ground beef. I thought of something else. I made my veggie fajitas. I used 1/2cup(before cooking) of rice. I used the other half of the p&c. I didn't use any spices/condiments/waters in the pan. I almost forgot about the beans. I used half a can of Mrs. Grimes Spicy Hot Chili Beans In Chili Sauce. I used 5 flour tortillas. I've mentioned before how I cook each tortilla, and how I use the pepper and hot sauce while eating. This time, I cut up one of the tomatoes, and put some on each tortilla. I also put some lettuce on each tortilla. They were all good.
Wed: I made my fried rice and veggies. I used half a bag of p&c. I used my e items while eating. I did something different. I cut up the second tomato. I took the lettuce and ripped it into decent sized pieces. I would put some of the rice/veg mix on the lettuce, then some tomato(until it ran out). It was good plain and with my 3 items.
Thu: I went to Arby's. Actually it was 2 of them. The first one I went into had flies buzzing around. The next one didn't have any. I also noticed it was a lot cooler inside, but I don't know if that helped. I got 2 orders of onion rings. They were good. They are doing the 2/$6 Gyro promotion. I got 4: 1 Turkey, 1 Greek(lamb/beef), and 2 Roast Beef. They were good. The 2 rb seemed tobe a bit low on the sauce. Maybe the Greek one was also. Due to shit happening, I got a real late start. I had to got to sleep immediately after eating.
Fri: I had 2 snacks. First was a bag of Peeled Snacks Peas Please pea snacks. They were the Southwestern Spice flavor, and were good. Later, I had a bag of Bugles. They were the Ranch flavor. It seemed it took me forever to get a bag of these. While they tasted different than the plain ones, it didn't taste like ranch flavor. Even with that, I'll still say they were good. At least I am now fine with them not being sold at all the area stores.
My actual meal was veggie fajitas. I used all the spices.... in the pan this time. I used the other half of the can of beans. Like last time I used lettuce and the last tomato. When I cooked the third of the 4 tortillas(I use five, but leave the first one uncooked), I left it in the pan too long, so it got fully crispy. When I was eating, I had the other 2 unshaped cooked tortillas sitting on top of it, and was preparing the uncooked one on top of the trio. I was flattening the veg/rice mix, when I heard a crack. When I got down to it, I saw it had broken in 2, but unfortunately not right down the middle. I made that one into a "sandwich", with the larger piece on the bottom. When I was done with the tortillas(and the tomato), there was still somehow a lot of the rice/veg mix left over. I did the same thing as Wed, in putting the mix in pieces of lettuce. I only had the hot sauce and pepper with my meal. Everything was good.
Sat: I first snacked on a bit of granola "cereal" and pb. Later, I had 2 packages(each one has 2) of LD Fall Party Cakes. They were good. I also had 2 packages(1 per package) of LD Pumpkin Spice Rolls. They were good. There was one weird thing this time. This has to do with that thing where your senses of taste and smell are somewhat intertwined. The PS Rolls made me think of my dad's aftershave. I also had a third snack. I had some generic brand honey roasted peanuts. They were good.
I will be having a meal in a little while. There is nothing for me to review. And thankfully, no time needed for cooking.
Even though I took a large dump around 4am(When I started the paragraph about the grease and assembling the sandwich), it feels like I have to squirt out some more.
Due to my late start, and other things, it is almost 10am.
I should be back next week.

Well this has been another shitty week. I only did stress eating Thu. Today was actually pretty stressful, but I'll mention that below.
I'll get to the food now.
Sat: Nothing to review.
Sun: I had a box of Triscuits. They were the Four Cheese & Herb. They were good. There was a cheese taste, but I couldn't identify what kind though. I don't think there was any herb taste.
Mon: For a snack, I had a bag of Good Sense Sesame Oat Bran Sticks. They were good.
For my meal, I made my fried veggies using p&c, and used 2 packages of Maruchan beef ramen instead of rice. This was because I was very low on canola oil. I still had lettuce left, so I put the ramen/veg mix on lettuce pieces. It was good plain and with my 3 items.
Tue: I made fried rice and veggies using p&c. I didn't add any spices.... to the pan. This is because I added something else. It was mushrooms.
On Mon, I picked up 2 packages at ALDI because they were on sale. I used one package. Even though they were sliced, I cut them up smaller. There was something odd. The mushrooms were kind of slimy. When I tasted a couple of raw pieces, they didn't have a strong mushroom taste. I threw them in the pan when the rice/veg mixture was almost done. I'll discuss the mushrooms more in a bit.
As for the taste, there was a bit of mushroom taste in the first couple of bites. But overall, the rice and veggies were good plain and with my 3 items.
Wed: I went to a grocery store, and got a snack along with other food. It was some turkey pot roast from the hot food/deli area. It was good. It didn't taste much different than regular beef pot roast.
For my meal, I made fried rice and veggies. This time I used half a bag of frozen broccoli. For the meal, I used up the rest of the lettuce. The meal was good plain and with my 3 items.
Thu: I had 2 snacks, but I'll only review the second one. It was a pair of Italian sausage rolls. They are a kind of bread with pieces of It sausage(and maybe cheese) baked inside. They came with a small container of marinara sauce. I heated them up in the microwave. They were good.
My meal was fried rice and veggies using the other half of the bag of broccoli. The meal was good alone and with my 3 items.
Fri: I had 2 snacks. The first was from Taco Bell. I was planning on getting a basic burrito and a soft taco. I looked on the menu and saw something else. I don't even remember what it was called. It was Naked Chicken Chips inside a tortilla with other stuff. There were 2 varieties: Avocado and Mango Habanero. I got the Avocado. I decided to get it because the menu sing said it was a limited-time item. It also helped that it was cheaper than what I came in for. It was good. I ate it both plain and with Diablo sauce. With the sauce, I got 2, intending to use one and save the other for another time. When I tore the packet open, I did it too much on the side, casing a bunch to spill out. I ended up having to use the other one also.
Later, I had a bag of microwave popcorn. It was the last one in the box I had bought. I think it was the Jiffy Time Extra Butter. If not, you can find what it is in previous posts. I put it in the microwave for 1:43. There weren't a lot of unpopped kernels. When it was done, I added some canola oil to the bag. It was good. I ate it out of an empty Maruchan Instant Lunch cup using chopsticks.
Now for the meal. I was planning on doing an experiment by adding mushrooms to something I've made before. I was going to use the other package I bought on Mon. Like I said above, those mushrooms were slimy. This package was also. I think on Wed, I saw some mold growing. On Wed or Thu. I turned the package over, and brown water spilled out. I looked online, and read that slimy mushrooms aren't safe. Also, I read that mushrooms NEED TO BE REFRIGERATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn'tdo that because I swore I read that you're not supposed to. Also, I figured since they're not refrigerated at the store, they don't need to at home. Against my nature, I threw them out. I just tossed them outside. When I did that, I held onto the container because I wanted to keep it. When I actually did the tossing, a second container came out along with the mushrooms. I brought the container inside after I came home from work.
As for the meal, I got some sandwiches at Subway. I'll list them in the order I had them. Cold Cut Combo: white bread, provolone, lettuce, tomato, oil, parmesan Meatball Marinara: flatbread, provolone, olives, spinach, oil, parmesan Crispy Chicken: white bread, provolone, lettuce, tomato, ranch, parmesan
On any other day, I would have stored the sandwiches in the microwave and ate them later. Since I eat so late on Fri, I put them in the fridge. To warm them up, make the bread crispy, and recrisp the chicken, I put the sandwiches on the small cookie sheet and put it in the oven. I had preheated it to 380F. What I forgot to do though, is take the cast iron pan out of the oven, which I then had to deal with before I put the cookie sheet in the oven. I had them in for 7min. I then opened up the oven. I felt the bread, and it was crispy. I turned the sheet around and cooked them for another 5. I then turned the oven off and took them out. After doing some stuff, I put them back in the oven to warm up a bit and took them back out.
I actually had my meal a bit after noon on Sat, and that's where the shitty day came into play. There are a couple of background items. First, each of my parents have a cell phone, but they primarily use my dad's. Second, my dad went in for shoulder reconstruction surgery on Mon, and was discharged Wed. My dad was fucking with my mom's phone, and can't figure out how to turn the ringer back on. They can only tell it's ring by having it out of the case and seeing it light up(apparently it also vibrates, but the don't hear that). I needed to ask my dad something in the morning, so I called his phone. Nobody answered. I also tried my mom's phone, with no success. I tried this again. I waited a while and did the same. I did this this routine for a while. I was worried that something had happened to my dad, and they went to the hospital and forgot their phones. It was a really cold morning, so I also was worried that they had turned the furnace on, and that it fucked up and gave them CO poisoning. After eating, I tried again, then went to sleep for a few hours. I then tried calling a few more times. I emailed my brother to see if they had called him. I even called the hospital to see if they were there. After mowing the lawn, I called again. Before I took off, I was looking for their house keys and couldn't find them. I then drove over there. On the drive over, I thought maybe my dad left his phone at the computer in the basement. When I got there, I rang the doorbell. My mom opened the door. I told her that I had been trying to call them all day. She said my dad must have fucked up his phone so the ringer wouldn't work. I then went back home, feeling relieved, but still a bit anxious, due to not finding the keys, and not getting some stuff done.
What that has to do with the sandwiches was that my anxiety meant I was not able to fully enjoy them. I did try to take note about how they tasted. The CC Combo seemed to not taste as good, due to being heated up. I should have just put that in the oven while it was warming up, and just get it to room temp. The Meatball was good. The flatbread didn't get crispy, even though it wasn't in the middle(the CCC was). I thought the Chicken was ok. This one was very affected by my anxiety. It was $2 more than the other 2($6.99 vs $4.99). That being so, I would like to do a do-over, and maybe get 3 of them with various stuff on them.
Sat: When I first started typing this over 7 hrs ago, I had some snacks. I had the last package of LD choc Fall Party Cakes. They were good. I also had the last 2 Pumpkin Spice Rolls. They were good. I also ate the rest of the generic honey roasted peanuts. They were ok. They don't seem to have a strong honey taste(some brand I had a long time ago did, but I can't remember who). The peanuts were on sale for $1.99 for a 16oz jar. When I went to ALDI, I saw they had some for $1.89. If I had known that, I would have bought those instead to try.
That's all for the food. I will have my meal after doing some stuff, including taking a dump. I still haven't 100% made up my mind about what I'm having.
I started typing this a bit after 2am. I went to take a nap at 630am. I intended to sleep for an hour, but I ended up hitting the snooze button a few times, and got up at 815am.
It is now 949am.
Due to the holiday weekend, I should be having something different for Fri, then to report Sat and Sun for my post the week after. See you then.

Hello. I am still feeling full from my "Fri" meal as I am starting this. I hope that goes away so I can have another meal. If not, I'll have to wait until my Sun meal.
I'm starting a little bit after 12:30am. I watched SNL, but dozed off near the end. I then finished my reading. Then I looked at the Virtual Railfan KC YT site.
On with the Action.
Sat: I had 3 items. The first was some Hormel peperoni. It was the hot variety. I forget how much there was. It was good, even though it wasn't hot. I also had a bag of Munchies. They were the Flamin' Hot variety. They were ok even though they weren't very hot. I've never had them before. The one grocery chain had them on sale along with Fritos and Cheetos. It seems like when Munchies were on sale before, whatever store I went to only had the plain and cheese varieties. The last item was 2 cans of Chunky soup. It was the Philly-Style Cheesesteak. It seemed like it was a cream soup. It think it did have a cheesy taste, but it was kind of odd. The soup wasn't that great.
Sun: I had a box of Triscuits. They were the Avocado, Cilantro & Lime flavor. I was hoping they would taste like guacamole. They didn't. Actually, they didn't have much of any flavor. What I did taste is what I assume is cilantro. I don't think these were good. I have another box, so maybe those will taste better.
Mon: I had 2 snacks. One was a can of Brookdale Vienna sausages. They were good. The other is a box of ALDI Specially Selected Naan Crisps. They were the Tikka Masala flavor. I don't know what tm tastes like, so I don't know ho accurate these are. They were ok.
My meal was fried rice and veggies. I used half a bag of frozen broccoli. I also tried a "new" ingredient. I still had the stem from the head of lettuce. made some thin slices and threw them in the pan after the onions and before the broccoli. I didn't notice the pieces when I was eating. The meal was good alone and with my 3 items.
My meat item was half a package of Oscar Mayer Cotto Salami. It was good alone and with mustard.
I opened up a new bottle of mustard. I am not adding it to my rice and veggies because I want to save it for next week.
Tue: I had a bag of Peeled Snacks Peas Please pea snacks. They were the Garden Herb flavor. They were good.
My meal was fried rice and veggies, using half a bag of broccoli. I used some thin slices of lettuce stem. I didn't add any spices.... to the pan. That is because I wanted to try something.
After work, I went to an ALDI. They still had the sliced mushrooms on sale. I bought a package. I put it in the fridge when I got home. I cut the slices into smaller pieces. I put them in the pan when the rice/veg was done(I didn't cook it as long as usual) and I turned the burner off. I stirred them into the rice/veg of course.
As for the taste, it was good alone and with my 3 items. I know when it was plain, I could taste the mushrooms.
My meat item was half of the package of Oscar Mayer Cotto Salami. It was good alone and with mustard.
Wed: I got 3 snacks. I went to the grocery store, and went to the hot food/deli area. I saw some red onion rings. I asked the one lady what they were. She said they were hot. I got some. I heated them up in the microwave before I ate them. They were good, but not hot. I was looking for some coldcuts, so I was looking at that case. That is where I saw the other 2 items I got. The first item was a rolled up corn tortilla with stuff inside. I think it was an enchilada, but it didn't have sauce on it. I heated it up in the microwave. Some of the cheese melted out. It looked to be some kind of white cheese. It was good. It might have been better with some kind of taco sauce/salsa. The last item was an empanada. I also heated it up in the microwave. It was good. I looked like it had some meat, cheese, and some kind of red sauce inside.
My meal was fried rice and veggies, using broccoli. I also used the last of the lettuce stem. It was good alone and with my 3 items.
Thu: I had 2 snacks. First was a Maruchan Yakisoba noodle meal. It was the Roast Chicken flavor. While it was good, there are 2 things to note. First is that I put in too much water because I thought the fill line was much higher. I don't know if that affected the taste. To me it didn't taste like roast chicken. It had an Asian flavor instead.
My meal was fried rice and veggies, using broccoli. It was good alone and with my 3 items.
Fri: Since I was going to be eating late, I needed to something to snack on. Since I was going to be having a large meal, I only wanted to have something small. I got 2 meat sticks(kind of like a Slim Jim) from a store's deli area; one beef, one turkey. I didn't eat them at the same time. While they were both good, one was better than the other. I couldn't tell which was which.
I had a lot to eat for my meal. I'll use this paragraph for the smaller items. I had 3 meat items. First was some pepper turkey I got at one store's deli. It was ok. I think I've had better from a store in the same chain, and a store in the other major are chain. Next was a 70z tub of Buddig Corned Beef. It was ok. It was the same as the regular 2oz package. Even though that was listed in the ad, I kind of thought it was a more fancy version. The last meat item was a package of Hormel Peperoni Minis. They were good. I also had a tub of blue cheese from ALDI's Happy Farms brand. Since blue cheese has it's own odd taste, I can't tell if it's good or bad in the field of blue cheeses. It was salty. It kind of reminded me of goat cheese, but it didn't taste nasty. Due to the odd taste, I can't honestly say whether or not I liked it. I can say that I might buy this again, but I would have to think about what other food I'd wan to pair it with.
Now for the main event. I bought a 4.35lb butternut squash as ALDI. At work, I found a recipe that said just to cut it in half and bake it on a cookie sheet. Since my cutting knife was dull, I spent quite a bit of time sharpening it, since the squash is very solid. Before I went to cook it, I tried to find that recipe just to double check. Instead I found one where I could bake I whole. I went with that one. I took my large casserole dish and put my sheet of aluminum foil in the bottom. I then rubbed a little canola oil on the foil. I then poked a bunch of holes in the squash with my knife. I then put the dish in the oven, which I preheated to 425F, sideways. I then let it cook for 30 min. I then turned it 180deg. I then waited another 30 min. I then opened the oven and tried poking it with the knife. It was rather soft. Just in case, I left it in another 10 min, but I had turned the dish so the fat part of the squash was facing the front of the oven. I then took it out and let it cool for a while. I then grabbed the squash and the foil and set them on some towel pieces on my tv tray.
The first few spoonfuls tasted like a cross between spinach and carrot. Later, it just had its own taste, or what I think pumpkin pie would taste like if it didn't have sugar and other stuff mixed in. I also tried it with all my other stuff. I made a list, but this time I'll just do it in sentence form. I didn't notice the canola oil at all. The mustard didn't make much of a difference. The black pepper, cumin, and soy sauce just erased the flavor of the squash. The garlic powder, chili powder, hot sauce, and parmesan cheese were all ok. I also tried some combinations, but I didn't notate them.
When I got to the fat end with the seeds, I decided I was full enough. I brought it into the kitchen to get it ready for the fridge. I scooped out the seeds and stringy stuff and put them in the fridge, because the seeds can be toasted. I then was eating more of the squash. I kind of wanted to see if I could eat the whole thing. I decided to put the few chunks left in the fridge.
I was stuffed, but not in pain.
I got a super late start and was done eating after 1:30pm Sat.
Sat: I snacked on a few pieces around 7pm even though I felt stuffed. I then had some later. They still tasted the same.
I felt stuffed the rest of Sat. I did quite a bit of burping. I thought I would take a massive dump. I also was having heartburn. I am feeling better now.
I still don't know what my "Sat" meal will be. I had planned a meal, but I don't know if I'll have it. I might just finish the squash, and have a snack so I don't have an empty stomach. I am not feeling hungry, but I am not feeling discomfort in my stomach. I'm going to take a dump in a bit, and I'll see if that makes me feel hungry.
It is now 10:40am. I took my 1am nap. I set the alarm so I would wake up for 2am and watch Bones. I woke up and looked at the clock. It was 2:12am. Setting the alarm doesn't help if you don't turn it on. I then got up and did typing. I watched the TMZ weekend show while typing. I still felt tired/shitty, so I didn't type as fast as I normally do. I then went to take another nap at 6:30am, intending to wake up at 8am. Again, I set the alarm, but unfortunately I forgot to turn it on AGAIN!!!! I woke up at 8:45am. I did some reading, and did my typing while watching Meet The Press, and the 2nd half of ABC's equivalent.
I should be back next week.

Hello, I'm getting a super late start this time. I watched SNL. I then did my reading. I then took my 1am nap. When the alarm went off, I almost wanted to stay in bed, but I wanted to watch Bones. I then watched it. I finished my reading after 3am. I've been looking at the Virtual Railfan cams on YT. They took away the preview thumbnail on the red time bar(I don't know the proper name for either item). That makes viewing a pain in the ass. I feel shitty, which I'll talk about below.
I don't have anything else to mention, so I'll get to the food.
Sat: I was still stuffed from my "Fri" squash meal. I went and took a dump. I was starting to get my appetite back around noon on Sun, but it was way too late to make my scheduled meal. Since I felt I needed to eat something, I just did some snacking.
I took my cast iron pan and put some canola oil in it, then heated it up. I then put the pieces of leftover squash in. I let them brown a bit, then turned them over. They kind of stuck some in the pan, even with the canola oil. There were 5 pieces. I had one plain, and the others with stuff on them. I made a list(the first of 3 you'll see here): plain: good pepper: ok hot sauce: good soy sauce: ok parmesan: ok
I had 3 other things. I had a box of Chicken in a Biskit. They were good. I had a bag of Flamin' Hot Cheetos. They were ok. I don't think there was really much of a different taste. I'm thinking they might not have been as hot as usual. The final thing was a can of Brookdale Vienna sausages. They were good. I put them in the fridge ahead of time, but I don't remember how cold they got.
Sun: I had the meal I was going to have Sat. It was bratwurst. These were the same ALDI ones I had last time. I fried them up in the cast iron pan. I then fried up some onion, which I had cut like last time. I again got the buns at Walmart. I don't know if they were actually smaller this time.
Before I put the brats on their buns, I cut the brats lengthwise. I don't know if I did that last time.
Besides regular mustard, I opened up the other jar of Deutsche Kuche mustard. This was the Austrian Beer Mustard. I tried some by itself. It did have some beer taste. I won't buy it again the DK Whole Grain mustard was much better.
Here is the list: DK: good DK and onion: good regular mustard: ok mustard & onion: good DK, mustard, and onion: I forgot to make a comment.
I maybe would have a better opinion of these if I hadn't eaten so late.
Since there were 6 buns again, I did the same thing and put turkey pastrami on the last one. I layered the slices with the rest of the onion, and some cabbage I also fried up. It was good.
I also had a bag of store-brand potato chips. It was one of those big 1lb bags(that they used to always come in). They were just regular potato chips. They were good, if maybe a bit too salty.
Mon: Due to my Sun meal being so late, and the big bag of chips, I was not hungry, and didn't feel like having my fried rice and veggies. Earlier that day, I went to ALDI and picked up a can of chicken noodle soup. I took half a bag of frozen peas and carrots, and heated it up in the microwave. I didn't heat it for the full time, figuring it would finish cooking in the soup. I dumped it in the pot. Then I dumped in the soup(Campbells's style, so also a canfull of water). I also added a little cabbage. I then heated it up until bubbling, then took it off the burner. The soup was ok. The peas had a strong taste, which may have been due to me not cooking them fully.
I did have a can of sardines as a meat item. They were good.
Tue: I had 2 snacks. I can't remember if I was due to stress, or that I was hungry dude to me not having a full dinner. The first was one of those Maruchan Instant Lunch cups. It was the chicken flavor. It was good, and did taste like chicken soup. The second snack was a bag of Clancy's(from ALDI) version of hot Funyuns. They were good, but not very hot. There might have been some heat around my lips.
My meal was just my fried rice and veggies using the other half of the peas and carrots. I haven't been using garlic or cumin in the pan, since some people(more likely mostly the lady next to me on the next aisle) say I smell bad. I may just be farts, but she doesn't want to say that for some reason(it may be an older black lady thing). It was good alone and with my 3 items.
Wed: For a snack, I had a package(2.5oz) of Armour peperoni. It was good. When I went to ALDI, I forgot to get more cans of Vienna sausages. I should have also picked up some of the Lunch Mate Buddig copies.
For my meal, my side "dish" was half a bag of tator tots. I put them on the small cookie sheet. I preheated the oven to 450F. I remembered to take the cast iron pan out this time, and I swore I looked inside for anything else. When I tried to put the cookie sheet in, there was something in there. It was the pot I used to boil the water for the Instant Lunch. I took it out, and put on a trivet(for some reason, my mom incorrectly calls these hot plates, and I've unfortunately picked this up) to cool off. I cooked the tt for 7min. I then turned the cookie sheet around. After 5min, I went and looked at them. I let them cook for a bit longer. They were good.
The main part of my meal was hotdogs. They were the Bar-S Chicken variety. I cooked them the microwave. I also warmed up 4 buns in the microwave. Since I never had these hd before, I bit off a piece of one to see what it tasted like plain. It just tasted like a hotdog. I used regular mustard, the DK mustard, and some cut up onion. Here is the order that I had the ones on buns: Deutsche Kuche Deutsche Kuche, onion Deutsche Kuche, mustard Deutsche Kuche, mustard, onion
They were all ok. I used the 2 mustards and whatever onion was left on the 4 naked hotdogs. They were ok. Like I said before, I didn't really like this mustard from DK.
Thu: I did stress eating, which I will explain why in the next paragraph. I had 3 snacks First I had a bag of Deutsche Kuche Reiberdatschi potato sticks . They were the hash brown flavor. These were like smaller shoestring potatoes. They were good, but I can't remember if they tasted like hash browns. Later I had 2 items. One was a can of Chicken of the Sea Tuna. It was good. I had it because I had peperoni the night before. I also had a bag of the Chester's Puffcorn. It was the Flamin' Hot variety. It was ok. I don't recall it being very hot.
Now for the meal. I went to Arby's for the 2/$6 gyro deal. I ordered 4, and 2 orders of onion rings. Everything was fine. There were a couple of flies, but they stayed on the ceiling. Then this lady came in and placed an order. Instead of being like most everybody else, she used cash instead of a credit card. That was fine, but then when she went to get coins, a bunch of them spilled on the floor. Instead of using some more in her purse or giving the worker another dollar, she picked the coins off the floor and gave them to the worker. The worker later gave stuff to another worker who was handling food. I then got my stuff, and went home to put it in my house before I went grocery shopping. To make matters worse, when I got home, I saw that the little hyper fuck trophies that use my driveway as a bus stop, put a large piece of wood in front of my garage door. After I put the Arby's stuff in the house, and threw the wood in what I thought was their yard. I then went shopping. When I got home, I took the gyros out of the bag. Since they were in wrappers, I just cleaned the wrappers off. I took the onion rings and put them in a container which I put in the fridge.
I got 2 beef, 1 chicken, and 1 Greek gyro. They were good. Instead of the onion rings, I had a bag of Lay's kettle chips. They were the Sea Salt & Cracked Pepper. They were good.
Fri: I had 3 snacks. First I had a bowl of egg drop soup I got from the Asian part of the hot section of a grocery store. It was good. Later I had a package of Armour peperoni. When I watched TMZ, I had a bag of microwave popcorn. It was from that big box I bought at Menard's a while back. The brand is Pop Warner. I dodn't know what variety it is. When I took it out of the box, I noticed it was smaller than all the other brands. The instructions said to cook it for 1:45. I did so, even though I do the regular size ones for 1:43. When it was done, the bag looked between 2/3 and 3/4 the size of the normal ones. A bunch of the popcorn looked like it was in the stage between being normal and burning. I think there was only at most, 1 unpopped kernel. The popcorn was ok. I ate it out of the bag using chopsticks. Next time, I'll cook it less.
For the meal, I had Bar-S turkey hot dogs. I fried them in the pan. I fried up some onion after. I had the toppings in the same order as Wed, so see that list. I cooked the buns in the pan also. I made a list in order of how I cooked/ate them, which corresponds to the toppings list: Cooked in the pan with whatever oil/juices were there. There was not a lot, so the bun got basically toasted, Opened the bun up, and coated both sides with canola oil, and fried both sides. Put canola oil in the pan. I the tipped the pan up so it would pool in 1 place. I then put the bun in there closed. I cooked one side, then the other. I took the last bun and separated the top and bottom. I did the same thing with the oil and pan. I put one half of the bun in the pan, with the inside facing down to get fried. I then did the same thing with other half.
The hotdogs on buns were ok, as were the naked ones, which I used both mustards on, along with the rest of the onions.
For my side, I had a bag of store-brand wavy potato chips. This was another 1lb bag. I had them with a 1lb tub of sour cream. The chips were good plain, and even better with the sour cream.
I got another late start. I think I got done in the 1pm hour of Sat.
Sat: Due to eating late, and the big bag of chips, and the sour cream, I felt stuffed. Even so, I had the onion rings(from the Thu debacle), about 7 hours later, when I was shaving. They were good. That made me feel a little more stuffed.
I decided to skip my snack that I usually have while watching Bones. I've decided to have it as my "Sat" meal, since I want to free up space in the fridge, and I don't feel that hungry. I'll do a review next week.
Speaking of next week, I'll be off work, so I'll be having some special meals. I'll also be doing one of my other kinds of posts . #foreshadowing
I think I'll take a dump and do some other things before I eat. It is now after 11am.
See you next week.

I'm back for this week. I'm able to start earlier since I got my reading done. If I had got off my ass, I could have started typing earlier. SNL is a repeat of the season premiere. I was going to start earlier, and finish my reading during the commercials. But well, here we are. I'll stop to take my pre-Bones nap, then resume when I get up.
Time for the food.
Sat: For a "snack", I had a bit of cereal, and finished up a jar of pb. It was the generic brand chunky variety. I think I had this shortly before my meal.
Last week, I told you that I ate real late, and had a big meal. Then a while later, I had the onion rigs. I was stuffed, so didn't feel like snacking during Bones. I also didn't want a big meal. I decided to have the snacks for my meal. First was a box of cookies that I got at Dollar Tree. It was a brand called Bud's Best. The cookies were Chocolate Chip Pecan Supremes. They were good. The box was only 6oz. I was intending for this to be a snack, so that's why I got that box instead of a larger package. Next up is 2 yogurts from Belfonte. The first was Birthday Cake. It was ok. I think I did detect a hint of frosting. The next one was Red Velvet Cake. I have never had that kind of cake, so I had no reference to use for comparison. It wasn't good, but didn't taste like crap.
I also had a beverage that I bought at ALDI. It was Sparkling Ginger Brew from a company called Summit. I thought it was just going to be ginger ale in a fancy bottle. It wasn't. I looked at the ingredients list, and it had citrus and/or pineapple. This made me think it was more like Squirt or Sun Drop than Canada Dry or Schwepps. If I had known that going in, I would have thought better of it. With the taste/smell connection thing going on, it made me think of some kind of citrus-y household cleaner. There was one other thing. After I would take a drink, it would burn my throat. I don't think I had a sore throat beforehand, which would be irritated by citrus and or pineapple.
Sun: I opened up a new jar of pb. I'll review that when done.
I had a bag of Goldfish Pretzels. They were good.
Mon: I had a snack, which I'll skip.
My meal was fried rice and veggies, using half a bag of broccoli. It was good alone and with my 3 items.
Tue: I had a bag of Harvest Snaps pea snacks. They were the Lightly Salted, aka plain. They were good.
My meal was the same as Mon.
Wed: For a snack, I had a piece of pizza from a grocery store hot section. It was good. When I left the store, I remembered that I was going to have pizza for dinner.
My meal was a Tony's frozen pizza. It was the Pizzeria Style Crust Supreme. It was good.
Thu: On this day, I went to the doctor and did other stuff. I was planning on having dinner with my parents, but that plan fell through, since my dad had an afternoon appointment at the eye doctor.
For my first snack, I went to Sonic; actually 2 Sonics. I got a Classic Footlong Philly Cheesesteak. I went to the Sonic near my old house. They said they ran out of steak. I then went to one across the street from Goodwill(see post below) and got it. I ate it at my old house. It was good. It had some kind of cheddar sauce, but I didn't taste it. I would have enjoyed it more if I hadn't looked up and saw wasps crawling around on the windows.
Later, I got 3 things at Walmart. First was Asian salad. It looked like lo mein noodles with some veggies. It was cold. It was ok. I had 4 pieces of catfish. They were good. I also had 6 mozzarella sticks. They were good, even though they weren't hot.
For my meal, I had Subway sandwiches. I got them on Wed and put them in the fridge.
They were all the Crispy Chicken footlongs on white bread with mozzarella cheese. I had 3. This is the order I had them in: 1 parmesan 2 onion, banana peppers, jalapeno peppers, buffalo sauce, Creamy Sriracha 3 lettuce, tomato, Caesar dressing, parmesan(not sure)
They were all good.
When I was getting them, I told the worker I was going to put them in the fridge. He took the chicken filets and put them in bags so I could heat them up separately from the rest of the sandwiches. When I had them, I first took everything out of the fridge to warm up for a few hours. I first set the oven to I think 200F. I put the sandwiches in until the bread was warm. I then took them out. I then put the chicken fillets on the cookie sheet. I then put them in the oven, which I had turned up to 400F. I'm thinking I didn't leave them in for a specific time; I instead took them out when they felt hot.
Fri: I got my first snack at Burger King. I wanted to get the Jalapeno King, but they don't make that anymore. I decided to get 2 10-piece orders of chicken nuggets since they were having a promotion where they were $1 each. I had ranch sauce with them, since they weren't charging extra for it. I thought I would only get 1 or 2 containers, but I got 4. I only used 1, and put the rest in the fridge. I was going to eat them while driving. Due to an unsanitary incident, I just threw them in the trunk and ate them when I got home. They were good both pain and with the ranch sauce.
My other snack was a bag of store-brand rice crisps. These are basically small rice cakes(I think they shy away from that term due to the negative association). They were ranch flavor. They were good.
For the meal, I made 3 things. I'll put them in order from easiest to hardest.
I heated up a can of generic-brand turkey gravy. It was good.
I cooked a box of Zatarain's Yellow Rice. After I put the rice mix in the water, I also added 3 cloves of garlic that I minced. It was good. I was able to taste a little bit of garlic.
For the main event, I made chicken thighs. I heated up my pot of canola oil. I took 2 thighs and covered them with a mixture of flour and corn starch. I put them in the basket, and put that in the oil. I let them cook for 12min. While they were cooking, I covered the other 2 thighs with the flour/cs mixture. When the 12min was up, I took the thighs out of the oil. I put them in the small casserole dish, and put that in the oven, which I set to 170F. This was to keep them warm. I then cooked the other 2 thighs. After they were done, I put them in the dish in the oven. I kept the thighs in the oven until the yellow rice was done. The thighs were good. The meat was not dried out. The skin was rather crispy. I took pieces of the chicken and dunked them in the gravy; that was also good.
Sat: Before I took my nap, I had a little bit of cereal and peanut butter.
When watching Bones, I had a bag of the Pop Warner microwave popcorn. I left it in for 1:36. It didn't burn. There were about 6 unpopped kernels.
Right now I am eating a package of Lunch Mate turkey. It is good.
That is all for the food. I will be having my meal, later.
It is only 5:28am. I wish I was done, but I have 2 more posts to make, and even then, I might not be done, even if I am for the week.
See you in a bit.

On Thu, after I went to the dr, I visited the thrift stores in my former town. There are 5, but I only visited 4. The one I missed opened at 1pm, and I forgot to go back. There was nothing in the first one I visited. I'll list them in interesting order, from least to most. It will be 3, 4, 2.
At Savers, there was a kiddie kb. There was also a Paper Jamz guitar.
At this store, there was a small Kawasaki drum for $5. It was in the toy section because it was small. I don't know if it is part of a kid's drumset, or just a really small tom for a regular drumset.
At Goodwill, there was a bass head and cabinet for sale as a set for $59.99. The cab was a Peavey with 1 15in speaker. There was a paper tag on the back with info, but a lot of it had faded. I could read the resistance(4 ohms) and the serial number. I wanted to know how old it is and how many watts it can handle. I emailed Peavey. They said the model was Bass 115, and it was from the 80's. They also said it might be 100w, but I've seen some online stuff saying that # is too low. The head was a Hartke 1400. I've read good reviews of it. The head didn't have a power cable, but it was a standard IEC connecter like a pc. There was no speaker cable either. Also, I couldn't test it out to see if at least the head was working. Since that price seems good for either of those components by themselves, I think I'll go and buy these. Hopefully they work.
I was going to visit the antique store. I forgot to, even though I passed it 4 times, first for Goodwill, then for Sonic(see above post).
I'll go start my 3rd post now.

On Fri, I did my annual south of the river pawn/thrift/music/gun shop trip. I got a MEGA SUPER late start. First, I was waiting around a bit for my digestive system to start working, and thankfully I was able to take a large dump before I left. Then I dropped 2 things on the floor, which I had to clean off. I left after 11:30am, and I think it was closer to noon.
The first stop was Guitar Center since it was on my route, and I didn't feel like going out of my way to go back over to it. It is easy to get a mental overload due to all the stuff there
I went over to the used guitar/amp area. There were a bunch of Mitchell guitars, which is a GC-exclusive brand. I remember seeing a Jackson. There was an Ovation electric. I think it was a UKII. It was high up on the wall, so I couldn't play it. I did play with a Gibson LP Studio, which was $699. It sounded ok.
There were a ton of used amps; so much so that I couldn't remember a lot of them. I remember seeing a Roland Cube, and a 5150 brand head/cab. The Fender Pro Reverb was there. There were also 2 more Fender amps. There was some kind of fucking ugly combo amp with a wood exterior. There seemed to be a bunch of kind of upscale stuff. I saw an old Peavey Mace head for $499. There was an Ampeg Reverbrocket head for 399. There was also a Bugera 6260 head for $319. Bugera is a Behringer brand. Behringer is (in)famous for making cheaper versions of famous equipment. Apparently the 6260 is a copy of Peavey's 5150. I had put Bogner in my notes, but I'm thinking that was because there might have been an actual Bogner there.
I then walked into the bass section. I then went into the drum area. There was a young girl in there that sounded like she knew how to play. After avoiding the acoustic room, and looking at the effects, I went into the keyboard area. The 2 Korgs were still there. In the area with the digital pianos, there was a used Alesis Andromeda for $2999. I tried messing with it, but it was a fucking pain in the ass because it seemed like I couldn't change any settings. I eventually ended up on a bass preset, and tried to paly the theme to Midnight Express(Chase by Giorgo Moroder).
I then stopped in that store that used to be a Salvation Army. The only thing of interest was that there were a lot of records, including a Journey greatest hits double album still in the saran wrapper.
I then went to the Lees Summit Red Racks. Unfortunately they were having a sale, so it was packed. There was what looked like a guitar amp. I don't think it was because the input was a 1/8" jack. there was also a pair of wires sticking out the back to be wired to another speaker. I think they wanted $13.98 for it.
The next place to mention is Legacy Music. There was a Fender Strat XII for $599.
I eventually went to Raytown, and went to the Maj-R Thrift. There was a Yamaha soft guitar case. Inside was a kid's guitar from some brand called New York. Using Google, I don't think it was New York Pro.
I'll stop for now, since I need to eat. I think I'll also try to take a dump. I'll start up again next week with the Raytown Cash America that is next door to the thrift store.
See you then.
