I have to get a little ADD here today. I visited the strip club pawn shop a little while ago. First things first: that LP the lady showed me last time was still there. They want $2000 for it. It seems mostly everything's the same with a few additions. They had an Epiphone "violin" bass next to the Crate bass amp. There was a Roland Micro Cube amp in red for $99. When looking at the Casiahas, they had a Casio CT-380. I'll have to do some checking to see if this is one of those "sleeper" Casios I mentioned a while back. Unfortunately, there was no price tag on it(or it was on the back). I didn't look at/for the pedal shelf today.
Next post will get us back on track.

Now back to the south of the river trip. I was in the second Cash America pawn shop.
They had a bunch of keyboards. A few were Casiahas. They also had 2 Yamaha digital pianos, an Alesis QS8, and a Roland D-50. If I even did check the prices, I've long forgotten them. When I was leaving, I noticed the moved the effects stuff. The BOSS TM-7 was still there.
Next was the crazy pawn shop. I don't know if I'm repeating myself here, but there were 3 Dean guitars: KKV, Dime, V. They had 2 Squires. There was a lefty Ibanez Prestige. Also, they had an Epi LP in a sparkle finish. There were no odd guns to post about.
Then was the third Cash America. I had visited that one about 2 weeks before. Just about everything was the same, except for the apparent thinning of the amp herd. The "custom" Marshall was back though. There was an interesting guitar this time. It was a Fender Musicmaster. This was a smaller-bodied student guitar. CA wanted $299 for it. Depending on its condition and age, that may be a goooood deal.
I then went to the library to type up my notes, then went to get some food, which I will post about soon.
The next day, after I got my car fixed, I walked around Walmart, partially to waste some time. I then went to the Bass Pro Shops store nearby because I was kind of looking for something there. They have a small aquarium media.basspro.com/images/outdoorworld/storegalleries/41_2599996_2.jpg There is also a pond-style setup media.basspro.com/images/outdoorworld/storegalleries/41_3565341_24.jpg that besides fish, there were 3 small ducks swimming around. I went to the 3 thrift stores I skipped the day before. For reference, the first one I would usually stop at between Guitar Center and the gun shop I've only visited twice, and the other 2 were between the 2nd Cash America and the crazy pawn shop.
At the first thrift store, there was a Fisher-Price kiddie kb. There was also a Casio CTK-451 for $14.98. I don't remember if it was scuzzy and/or had bad keys. For organs, they had a Lowrey Saturn Deluxe for $34.98 and a Conn for $99.98. I don't know about the reasoning behind the Conn's price.
At the second place, Salvation Army, the only thing there was an Alesis QX49 for $24.95. It is only a controller kb, it doesn't make its own sounds.
At the last place, there were 2 kiddie kb. Behind the counter, the flute was still there. There was an acoustic guitar. There was also a glockenspiel. The mixer was gone
After that, I went to get some food, which I'll post later. I hope to start posting the food stuff Fri, but I'll have to go ADD again unfortunately.

First, I got to say that my car is acting up again, so I'm going to go home soon. I may bring it in tomorrow, and will post my food stuff there while I'm waiting.
Like I said Wed, I have to get a bit ADD again. I forgot 2 things I saw at the pawn shop. First was some form of controller kb. I forget the brand/model. The second item was a Sterling by Music Man guitar. This is Music Man's budget line. I think it might have been a variation of the Axis, the model of guitar Eddie Van Halen designed when he was working with them. My problem with my car is not helping my memory. If it's still there when I go back, I'll find out what it is.
Unfortunately, that's all for me for now. If I'm not back tomorrow, it may be Mon if my rep wants me to bring it in then. It'll prob be Wed at the latest.

Today has me at the dealership getting fixed since the rep didn't want me to take it in Sat. Now let's back to things.
Thursday after I made my trip and visited the library, I got some food. I went to Subway. I wanted to try the Reuben sandwiches. There is turkey one and a corned beef one. For some reason, the worker took the corned beef and put in one of those little cardboard trays and put he Swiss cheese on top. I can't recall if she put the sauerkraut between the cb and cheese. She then put the tray in the microwave. She didn't do anything like this for the turkey version. I didn't need anything heated up since I put the sandwiches in the fridge to have later. As for the taste, I think the worker put too much 1000 island dressing on them, so that was the dominant flavor. Except for that, they weren't bad. The bad thing is that they are very expensive. I think the turkey was actually more expensive than the cb for some reason. I would like to do a redo and have them not microwave anything and put less dressing on, but the price is a deterrent. The Arby's Reubens are much better, but they are a bit pricey also. I don't know how the price /size and/or weight ratio compares for both places.
Since I thought there was an Arby's in the area where the Subway was, I was going to get a few of the sliders. There wasn't one there, so I went home. The next day, after I visited the last thrift store, I went to the Arby's nearby, and got all 5 sliders. I ate the first 3 on the drive home, and the other 2 when I got home. I'll list them below in the order I ate them, and a few notes on some of them. In general they were good. Since all 5 have cheese on them, I don't know why the names of 4 of them have the word cheese in them, or why only one doesn't. As for the cheese, it is something that is white, like Swiss or Monterey Jack. I son't think it was white cheddar or American. If the computer I was on would let me view the ingredients list, I would let you know. The only negative is that they put the sliders in these little boxes that sit upright. This causes some cheese to melt out and stick onto the box.
Ham 'n Cheese Slider: I have some kind of thing where I think ham and cheese is a weird combination, unless it's something like a Subway sandwich with other stuff like veggies. That being said, I did like it, but wouldn't get it again due my aforementioned mental hangup.
Jalapeño Roast Beef Slider: Since I had this while it was still warm, I could properly gauge the spiciness. There was some heat, but of course a little less than I prefer. Like I said above, I don't know why the name didn't have the word cheese in it.
Roast Beef 'n Cheese Slider:
Corned Beef 'n Cheese Slider: You could taste that it was corned beef and not regular roast beef.
Chicken 'n Cheese Slider:
Let me post this and start a new one, just to be on the safe side.

Everything posted ok. I have a bit of mistrust of the computers here. Let's get back to the food.
On that following Monday, my plans had changed. I decided to go to Sonic and get the Boneless Wings since they have a buy one get one free deal on Monday nights. Earlier in the day, I stopped in to double-check what time they start the deal, and that they are even having it(if you look at the fine print in commercials, it says "at participating restaurants").
I have to go, see you Wed.

I'm back. Let's see if I can finish this. When I left off, I was at Sonic asking about the bogo boneless wings.
The other question I asked was how do you tell the difference between each flavor. The lady said they put stickers on them. Later, I went over there and got all 6 flavors in the 6 piece size. When I got home, I took them out of the bags, and only 2 had stickers(Habanero and Asian). What added insult to injury is that the wrappers had circles where they could have used a marker and indicated what flavor was there. I wanted to eat them in a certain order. I especially wanted to eat the 3 spicy flavors in ascending order of hotness. I could tell which ones were the garlic parmesan by looking. I opened 1 container and it smelled kind of sweet so I thought it was the BBQ. It had a bit of spiciness to it. I then was moving the other containers and opened another up, and the wings also smelled sweet, but more bbq-like; also these ones were dark brown, so I knew they were the bbq flavor. I then started eating these and finished the ones I previously started afterwards.
I'll list list them in the order I had them, like I did above with the Arby's sliders, but I'm putting the bbq ones first since I finished the other one after.
Honey BBQ: I am not a fan of bbq stuff even though I live in one of the bbq capitals of the USA. That being said, these were actually pretty good.
Island Fire: These are the middle hotness of the spicy flavors. Like I said above, they had some sweetness to them, and some heat, and were good.
Asian Sweet Chili: I don't remember how they tasted except that I'm pretty sure I liked them. Maybe they tasted like soy or teriyaki sauce. Even though the name has "chili" in it, I don't recall them being spicy.
Buffalo: This is the mildest of the 3 spicy flavors. It didn't seem spicy, but it did have the buffalo wing sauce taste.
Extreme Habanero Heat: This is they spiciest of the 3. And yes it was spicy! When I got to them, they had cooled off, but they were still super spicy. I had sweating, nose dripping, and maybe even eye watering and excess salivating.
Garlic Parmesan: They did tasted like their name and were good. Since these were the last I had, I was getting full when I had them(I'll expound on that in a bit).
Besides the wings, I got 2 sides. One was the 6 piece mozzarella sticks. The other was the onion rings. The mozz sticks were fine. I had them when they were still warm. They came with 2 packet thingies of spaghetti sauce, but I only used 1. I don't remember how much they cost, so no comparison. Finally the onion rings. I did not like these! It tasted like the batter has sugar in it, and that ruined them. If I remember, I'll do some research and see of they do have sugar in them. I was also thinking maybe they were cooking some desert items in the same oil. I see that they have French toast sticks and Cinnisnacks(whatever those are) on the breakfast menu, so maybe those things fucked up the oil.
Due to the lack of labeling, I kind of want to do a redo, but I don't know when I'd be able to get around to it. If I do, I'll only get the wings, no sides, because that was too much food.
Speaking of redos, I did go back to Little Caesars(Oct 7?) and get the Box Set again. I was feeling much better this time. Both the pizza and cheesy bread were good.
I did go to Arby's website on another computer and found out the sliders use Swiss cheese.
I think I might get something to try on Fri. If so, I will try to post next Wed.
I might open another bottle of booze tonight. I'll post a review once I'm done.
So, until next time....

Let's be quick about this.
Last Friday, I went to Taco Bell and got a Volcano Quesarito. You have a choice of 3 meats: beef, chicken, steak. I just got the beef. Since it's called "volcano", I though it would be super spicy. There was some heat, but then again, I ate it long after I bought it, so it cooled down. It seemed to be decent sized. Since the word queso is Spanish for cheese, I was expecting cheese inside, which there was. Fortunately, it didn't overpower/dominate the other flavors.
I did open another booze bottle and am almost done. I may provide a review on Fri.

It's booze review time. This time it was Bird Dog Chocolate Flavored Whiskey. There is just a slight hint of chocolate smell when you smell the bottle. And there maybe was just the slightest taste of chocolate, mostly like you could tell there was a tiny bit of some kind of flavor, but it was mostly alcohol burn. Putting some in water did not taste good. Maybe it tasted like if you would put a tiny bit of chocolate milk powder in a glass of water(since I have some at home, I may try this and report back).
I'll sum it up thusly: this dog needs to be put to sleep.
I may open another bottle tonight, and I'll of course review it once finished. I am hoping for a better experience, since it seems interesting.

Hello again! I finished another bottle. This time it was Sugar Island Coconut Rum. When opening the bottle, you could smell the coconut. I can't recall how much coconut taste there was when I first had it. That time, I took 1 or 2 sips. After said 1 or 2 sips, there was a good strong coconut taste lrft in my mouth. It remained even after I took a drink of water. Unfortunately, this suffered from the phenomenon of where I taste the flavor the most upon the first sampling. Subsequent sips mostly tasted like alcohol. I also tried mixing it with water. I think the first time the booze/water ratio was such that it actually tasted bad. The other times I tried, there was no alcohol taste/burn, but the coconut taste was very weak.
I should be opening another bottle tonight. I have something else in coconut flavor, and I have a bunch of other offerings that I'm strongly guessing will give positive results.

I'm back again! Tuesday I went to the Asian markets and bought some food. I figured since I didn't have to go to work on Wed(holiday: Veteran's Day), I didn't have to worry about the food giving me the shits. Coincidentally, I didn't take a dump the whole day, but I don't know if it was due to the food.
Remember, when I review these foods, I give the company info first. Also, I'll list the snacks in the order I ate them, then I'll review the veggie item, and finally the meat items.
Well' let's get back to business.
The first snack I opened was Green Peas Snack by Miaow Miaow. This comes from Malaysia from the Dragonfly company via US Trading Co. These things are shaped like mini cheese puffs/curls, and they are green. They did kind of taste like cooked peas. Even though I don't like peas standalone(I like them when in stuff like soups and stews), I thought this snack item was ok.
The next item was Ribbed Cracklings In Old Fashioned Salt & Vinegar from the Beer Match brand of the Oishi company from the Philippines. The distributor is Liwayway Marketing Corp. These are supposed to be a substitute for real pork rinds. The packaging implies that these are good to eat when drinking beer. They did smell like vinegar. I recall that only first few had the s&v taste. I guess I quickly built up a tolerance for the flavoring. I can't think of anything from the US to compare it to in terms of crunchiness. It was way more solid than actual pork rinds, and not as brittle as a pretzel nugget. While this snack wasn't a total suckfest, it wasn't that good either.
The next 2 items were from the Roxy brand and come from Japan. They are distributed by Roxy Trading Inc in Ponoma CA.
The first was called Squid Cracker. I didn't read the ingredients list, so I don't know if it had actual squid in it. It did have a unique flavor, though it wasn't good enough to make me want to buy it again.
The other item was Crab Chips. I did check the ingredients on these, and there was dried crab in them. I can't remember if they had a crab taste; I think I mostly tasted the base ingredients. To explain what I mean by this, it would be like eating a flavored potato chip and tasting mostly the potato chip instead of the flavoring. Again, I won't re-buy these.
The last 2 snack items come from a company called Want Want in Taiwan. I only found this out by the website given in small print on the bottom of the back of the bags. The website itself seemed to be fucked, so I had to Google about it.
It's time for me to go. I should be finishing this up on Wed. Bye!

Yes, I'm back! Now back to the snacks. When I left off, I was talking about the two items I got from the Want Want company, and that the only thing in English on the packaging was the URL. All the other food products I've bought had a sticker in English placed on them if there wasn't anything like the ingredients list originally in English. After doing some research just now, these snacks are called something like Mini Fried Senbei Rice Crackers. They look like little nuggets of something. Apparently the 2 flavors I bought are Black Pepper and Chicken & Chive. By looking at the packaging, I guessed one was black pepper and the other one was some kind of chicken flavor. I recall with both of these that I didn't really taste the flavor they were trying to be, but I did taste some kind of flavor, and probably the fried rice itself. I don't think I'll get these again, but I might try the other 2 they have(Spicy and Original(probably plain)) if I see them, since I know what to expect. Now for the "veggie item. I bought a jar of Master brand Preserved Mustard Bamboo Shoots. These come from the Master Sauce Co Ltd from Taiwan. They didn't taste that good. They had an "Asian" flavor, if that makes sense, but didn't have any mustard taste. I assume you are supposed to eat these on or in something else, but I ate most of them straight out of the jar. I did put some of these on a few of the fake pork rinds and the squid crackers, which did taste a bit better. And finally, the 2 meat items. First was Kaao Sook (Happy Rice) by Smiling Fish. The description is Rice with Fried Pepper Garlic Sardines. It is from Kuang Pei San Food Products PLC of Thailand. When I opened it up, it looked like cat food with 1 or 2 cracked black peppercorns. It is that the rice is on the bottom, and the minced sardines are the top layer. I would have preferred that the rice and fish were mixed up, since I was eating it out of the can, and not putting it on a plate or bowl and mix it up. It didn't taste bad, but didn't taste good either. I did get a bit of pepper taste, but no garlic. What would have made this stuff better was if it had some sort of liquid inside. The last item was Caravelle Squid in Soy Sauce from Thailand. The distributor is Anhing Corp of Los Angles CA. The first thing I noticed when I opened the can is that these things were almost flesh-colored. The can had mostly the squid bodies, but also had a few tiny tentacle clusters. The clusters had some hard bits, which might be beaks. This stuff did not taste that good. One main reason was the liquid. It did not taste like soy sauce at all. I think if it did, that would have helped. I have some soy sauce packets* from the place that I'd get Chinese food from, but it has a bit of a sweet taste, and I don't really like that. Maybe if I opened this first, I could have dumped the liquid in with the sardines and rice. I may be getting some stuff to try on Sat, Sun, and Tue. I probably won't post anything until next Wed. See you then, and have a Happy Turkey Day! I won't be.
I'm still on the one bottle I opened up on the 6th. It doesn't go quicker when it's not very good. Also, I've had my mind on other things. I'll review it when done of course. * It is the company with the logo of the smiling panda.

Today is a rare Sun appearance for me. Let's get going.
On Saturday, I visited the 3 major thrift stores in town. There was nothing at the first one. The second had a clarinet for $100, but it was missing one of its segments. There was a Yamaha PSR-6 that I spent way too much time playing with. It would have been less, but when I almost got through the sounds I wanted to try, I noticed the volume slider for something like bass accompaniment was up, which made the sounds sound different. The sounds were ok, but some, like the organs, were almost inaudible on the bass side of the keyboard. The sounds are similar to the PSS-280 I had a long time ago. Since I think these sounds were made with FM synthesis, I wonder if I can find them on the factory ROM cards I have for my DX-7, or get them off the internet. The kb was only $19. The last thrift store had a flute for $59. I don't know, but it looked like it might need repair. There was a kiddie kb. They also had 2 Yamaha keyboards, both for $39, but not equal. First was a PSR-275. I didn't go through a lot of sounds, but concentrated on the organ ones. Mostly I played something that kind of sounded like the into for Child in Time by Deep Purple. One of the presets was actually named something like "Purpl Organ", but it sounded like shit. It sounded like it was an organ run some sort of distortion pedal. For CiT, the better preset was called something like "16-2", which I'm pretty sure is a drawbar reference. The control panel had + and - buttons to go through the sounds, but only the - was working. The 2nd kb was a PSR-248. The thing I noticed right away was that the keys were yellowed, probably from sitting in the sun constantly. It only had a few organ sounds, which I don't recall being good. I didn't mess with this for very long.
Next up is some food!

I'm back!
After the thrift stores, I went to a grocery store to get some cooked fish. They didn't have any, so I went to Burger King. I got the 10pc chicken nuggets because they are having the $1.49 special. I also got the Buffalo Chicken Fries. The nuggets were good. I used a thingy of BK Sweet & Sour sauce that I had in the fridge with them. That wasn't so good. The Buffalo Chicken Fries come 9 to a container. They were ok. They weren't that spicy. They kind of seemed like they were over-done. Later that night, I got stuff at the one Indian restaurant. First I got to tell you about what happened. When I got there, my bag was on the counter, with a cup beside it. The foil on top had ML written on it. I correctly assumed it meant mango lassi. Like I said previously, the Indian places give out a free cup of beverage, but I don't know if they just want to get rid of stuff at the end of the night. When I was paying my bill, a guy came out with another cup, which was chai tea. On the way home, I drank both cups, which were both good. I got there at 8:37pm since they close at 9pm, and I wanted to watch the old Saturday Night Live NBC was showing from 9-10. I went to eat at 10:30pm when I was watching the new episode of SNL. I started taking stuff out of the bag. There were 2 cups in there. I had ordered soup and paneer pakora, and was at first thinking maybe they ran out of styrofoam boxes, and put the pp in a cup. I correctly guessed one was for the soup. The other cup had foil on top with ML written on it. I immediately opened it up and saw it was another cup of mago lassi. I put that in the fridge. I was pissed about them fucking up my order, which ruined my dining experience. The thing that kind of sucks more is that the guy I talked to on the phone didn't have an accent, so I would have thought he understood me fine. The first item I had was Chicken Biriyani. It was the hot variety. Since I let it cool down, it didn't seem that spicy. It was good. The other item was Mulligatwany Soup. I also got the hot variety on this. It was good. It was spicy. Since it was in a styrofoam cup, it stayed warm, adding to the spiciness. As to the other stuff inside the bag, there were 2 things. First was a bigger container containing 3 of those things I thought were fruit. As I was eating them, something tasted familiar. They tasted like pancakes with syrup! I looked at the inside of 1 of these, and it looked like some kind of dough. I only ate 2 and put the 3rd in the fridge. The other container contained some white liquid with some green herbs in it. I don't remember what it tasted like. I figured it was for the Biriyani. I originally was taking a forkful and dipping it in the liquid. Then when there was less than half left, I just dumped it on the CB. Due to my order being fucked, I want to do a do-over. I think they charged me full price for my order. Since I think there is only about a $1.05 and sales tax difference between what I wanted and what I got, I'm not going to complain to them.
After I post here, I'm going to get some stuff to snack on, which I prob won't review. I'll be going out later tonight to get something which I will review. And like I said previously, I'll prob be getting something on Tues. I should be reviewing these on Wed. If not, it'll be Fri.

It's that time again. I'll be quick this time.
I did get something to snack on, but it wasn't what I was hoping for.
Sun night, I got the regular Cheesesticks from Papa John's. I actually wanted to get the Bruschetta version. I called on Sat and the girl said they still had them. When I called to place my order on Sun, the girl who answered didn't know what I was talking about. She even asked the manager. She said they didn't know how to make them. I just ended up getting the basic ones. You need to see a pic of how they're cut first before I review them:
www.google.com/search?q=papa+johns+cheese+sticks&biw=1440&bih=783&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&sqi=2&ved=0ahUKEwiXxN7Q3azJAhXC2D4KHTlGCU8QsAQIHA
The small pieces on the ends that were curved were kind of dry because they are mostly the edge. The inner pieces were nice and soft for the most part. These were good. It came with a small container of tomato sauce(spaghetti/pizza/marinara for those outside the US). This was ok, and is best used for the end pieces.
Yesterday I went to Subway. I got 2 footlongs. They both were on white bread with provolone cheese, vegetable oil, oregano, and parmesan cheese. The first was the Meatball Marinara. For veggies, I just had a few black olives, a little bit of onion, and a little bit of green pepper. The other one was the Spicy Italian, and I had tomatoes and spinach on it. Both were good. I didn't have the bread toasted because if you don't eat it right away, it gets soft again, but that could also be if you leave it in the bag with other sandwiches, and the combined humidity does that.
I was going to get something else, but I didn't ask, and there were no signs up. I asked after I got my sandwiches, and the lady said they still had them, but they were out of one of the ingredients for one of them. Next Tues, I'm going to call to see if they have all the ingredients. If so, I'll get them and do a review.
If I get the sandwiches, I'll be back on Wed. I'll be back on Fri for a booze review if I finish the bottle by Thurs.

Fuck!!!! I was going to post this at work, but when I hit the reply button, an internal error page came up. Then I tried the quick reply with the same result. Then I hit the logout button, and I think I got the IE “cannot display webpage” page. Then I tried some other sites, and got that page also. Then I asked a c-worker to try her internet, and she got the same shit, so our internet is down. I am typing this in an email to my Yahoo account, and I am c/p it from the library.
Now let’s get back to the topic at hand!!!!
I called Subway yesterday(another story in itself) and they told me they had all the ingredients. I did a redo of the Reubens. I told the lady to put just a little bit of Thousand Island dressing on each side of the roll, and to not put anything in the microwave or oven. The first I had was the turkey version. It was good. The TI dressing was not overwhelming. I think I mostly tasted the turkey though. The other was the regular corned beef. That was good, and there was a good blend of all the different items. Like I said previously, these are very expensive, so this will probably be my last time getting these.
I’m thinking the next food I review will be around Christmas.
I’m almost done with the booze. I might be done before Friday.
The internet came back up, but for some reason, I can’t paste stuff into the reply box at work, and I’m not retyping any of this.
