Seen any good movies lately? (Or even bad ones?) Or want t talk about an upcoming movie that you want to see, talk about it here. I'll start. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 was wow, pretty messy. And I love Spider-Man, and hoped like hell it would prove everyone wrong and just be an awesome movie about spider-Man fighting Electro because he's Spider-Man goddammit! But there was a lot that just made no sense, it seemed like a collection of scenes, and the passing was off, but other than technical stuff, it just didn't seem to follow a simple plot. {Spoiler} Also, after Peter knows that Harry needs spider-Man's blood, but doesn't know he's Spider-Man show up to his house as Spider-Man like "Hey, I heard you're looking for me", and then tell him to fuck off, and that he can't give him his blood? I have to give it to Harry, he's totally justified in hating Spider-Man. Pete could have told Harry on his death bed "Sorry, still couldn't find Spider-Man" and achieved the same thing. Also, despite all the promotional material featuring Electro, to even the Blu-Ray box being the DISEMBODIED HEAD OF JAMIE FOXX, Electro had a relatively minor part in this film. {Spoiler}Also, the ending with Gwen was totally spoiled if you A.) Know anything about Spider-Man lore, and B.) had a look at this horrendous poster, which is based on the cover to The Amazing Spider-Man #121, I.E. the issue when Gwen Stacy dies. I'm going to miss Emma "Gwen Stacy" Stone, though. WELP, ANYWAY, FEEL FREE TO TALK ABOUT MOVIES.

Godzilla's out now, and the reviews so fare are "eh" because it doesn't have enough Godzilla in it.

I am still stuck at the debate; which third movie of a trilogy is the worst (third movies of a trilogy are usually disasters)? Matrix Revolutions or Spider-Man 3?

I haven't seen any of the movies mentioned above! DX Well, besides the first two Spider-man movies, but those two weren't really because I just wanted to sit down and watch me some Spider-mans. I watched the second one while babysitting, and the first in a class in high school. In that order. I thought they were good, but again, I'm not really interesting in Spider-man. I've also watched some kind of Barbie movie and the... Shark... Shark Tale? Dreamwork's crappy answer for Finding Nemo, while babysitting.
I personally don't watch a movie unless I've heard really, REALLY good things about it. I don't hear that often. The movies that I actually watched because I wanted to, and the ones that I really like, are movies like Tim Burton's Sweeney Todd, Repo! The Genetic Opera... Despite Paris Hilton being in there. She wasn't bad, because she wasn't really acting. (She played as a chick who's daddy gets her whatever she wants.) But she can't sing... Oh, and The Labyrinth, and 9. And um... Well, I really like Tim Burton's movies in general. *Shrug*

I am not into geek movies (or whatever they are called), but, whatever you do, do NOT watch Spider-Man 3! It is sincerely awful!

Coincidentally last night I watched Spider-Man 3.
It was a lot worse than I remembered.

Strangely enough, The Nostalgia Critic likes Spider-man 3. He doesn't like Space Jam, but he likes Spider-man 3.

The Nostalgia Critic likes the idea of quitting his job to be an internet reviewer full-time, also.
I'd say that pretty much covers anything relating to the opinions of the Nostalgia Critic.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 wasn't terrible, if you ask me. It had its flaws, but I kinda liked it anyway. I also liked the other two recent Marvel movies, Captain America: The Winter Soldier and X-Men: Days of Future Past. Of course, they both also had their flaws, especially the latter. I know the X-Men movies are notorious for screwing up their own timeline in ways that no one will ever be able to figure out, but this last film was even worse in that regard than its predecessors. Seriously, I have no idea what happened at what time in those films' timeline anymore. Oh yeah, and another thing - why do they keep recasting the guy who plays Stryker? I think there's now been four different Strykers in four movies.
Anyway, you know what really was a terrible movie? Maleficent. Don't go see it. It completely ruined her character as Mistress of All Evil.

I really wanted to like The Amazing Spider-Man 2 as a huge Spider-Man fan, hell that's why I kept posting all kinds of news in the old forum about it.
Ironically, it seems to end up suffering from the thing people think brought down spider-Man 3, and that is the studio trying to force in other characters with no idea what to do with them.

Seriously? That's.... Not smart. Um... I can't really say anything about Spider-man, still. 'Not the movies, anyway. Again, I didn't really care, but um.... Harry Potter? Um.... Akira? ...Women In Black?
