TV size intro lyrics and it will answer anyone wondering about the focus on Bebenomu at the start: www.pocketmonsters.net/songs/viewsong/718Also you should notice in the opening and the episode that Bebenomu is attracted towards light and that's because it comes from a world without light.

I'll try getting into the "congratulations on 1000 episodes" spirit by listing off the only things I ever liked about the JP version. -Ikue Otani -The First Movie -The Legend of Thunder -Every OP except "Rivals!!" and "XY&Z" -A fair bit of the BGM (that is, most anything from before XY) -Guest VAs -Anything outside of the Ash Pokemon continuity (Origins, Generations, PMD specials, etc.) is just as good in Japanese as in English. As I posted here, I do enjoy the majority of the openings. Luckily, "Future Connection" is a very good opening. It doesn't repeat "XY&Z"'s mistake of being an overblown POS. It manages to be an exciting opening that actually excites. Though it's not coercing me to return to the JP version, it's good to see that at least the opening can still be good. On the other hand, "Twerp and Twerpette" is kiddie shit of the worst kind. It's the kind of annoying, badly-sung, preschooler tripe that belongs in those PBS-tier kid shows parents dread having to watch with their kids. Only the pictures and animation were good about that miserable ending.

Yeah, I knew Ryu would hate the ending song (you pretty much made it clear you hate silly songs like that).
And just so you know: the singer is Okazaki Taiiku, the same person who sang the previous ending, "Pose".
So I just was curious to know your opinion on the opening, because I find you a lot less predictable on them.

I have to say, for the first part of the Ultra Beasts coming to Alola, this was a pretty fun episode! I loved the Buzzwole presentation that this episode showed! Though even if it's just...a hammy buff body builder poser, it still was a threat to the region via it's idea of food being identical to a real life mosquito...only much, much bigger. Even if it was non-malicious, that poor Snorlax! And the graphic scene of that proboscis piercing its skin! YOU KNOW. FOR KIDS! Ash's jojo face. AWAKEN MY MASTERS!

Okazaki Taiiku explains the reason for the new end song's title, "Brat Boy, Brat Girl": Speaking of it, the full version of the song is already out and upon listening to it, I sort of like the relaxing part of the song. But the rest I still find weird.
So you would have notice in this episode as well as in the opening that Poipole gets excited every time it sees light and this is because it comes from a world without light, Ultra Megalopolis. Plus the song tells you that Poipole has been lonely all this time, so it enters a new world looking for change and we know what that will exactly be. This makes me like the intro even more as it is not just a random song, it's connected with a character in the show.
What makes the song unique is it's not a typical Pokémon intro song (there's no constant references to features that come from the Pokémon franchise).
But they still managed to make "Future Connection" connect - that was not intentional - with something that is in the show. It's different and I like that.
Here are the English translated lyrics for the TV size version of "Brat Boy, Brat Girl":Now this is your typical Japanese Pokémon song. Also some of the lyrics fit to the Alola Region, so I appreciate it a bit more.

You know the more I listen to "Brat Boy, Brat Girl" (the new ending for the Sun & Moon series) the more I'm starting to like it.
This is mainly down to the tune; it has a tropical/Hawaiian theme, which fits with the Alola Region. I now find it kind of catchy.
And it's kind of cute too, I like cute songs. But that being said, I would like to see another ending like "Because the Sky is There".
Yeah, I do miss those emotional endings that the Pokémon anime had and I am kind of sad that they are rarely done nowadays.

SM066: Smashing with Sketch! The Fierce Poké-Ping Pong Match!! Poke-Ping Pong? Oh shit... who's gonna be leaving for the most bullshit reason ever and taking every last shred of their former likability with them this time??

The sketch in the title seems to imply that a Smeargle will take center stage. Illima has a Smeargle in the games and Laki uses Smeargle in his show, so the episode could focus on either of them. Considering the heavy focus on Illima, it will probably star him.

Yes, there was this quick clip for episode 66 of Sun & Moon featured on the Pokémon talk show, Pokénchi of Illima and his Smeargle playing Ping Pong.

I saw episode 63 and I must say, Ash does love teaching his Fire types Flame Charge. I might just be fate at this point.

Full summary and voice cast for SM064-SM063 screenshots: filb.de/anime/sm/063 and SM064 preview video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=vy5kFGKkcqISo Nyabby gets a butt-shake training montage just like Iwanko did and just like that one the song "Alola!!" plays in the background. But there's one difference and that's Nyabby's one is matched up to the song and therefore it's going look really awkward in the dub. And I think the part that will do it the most is when Satoshi, Pikachu, Lugarugan and Nyabby mime along to "Aye-yee-yah-yee-yah!" Speaking of music, it was great to hear the Sun & Moon Champion battle theme. The SM series has been getting more anime adaptations of SM game music than the XY(&Z) series did and if we get every song that will make me very happy as I love the OST of Sun & Moon and Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon.
Anyway, the episode, I loved it, Nyabby's evolution to Nyaheat has to be one of my favourites (it evolved while surrounded by fire, that was awesome). Also I am glad Nyaheat didn't defeat Gaogaen straight after evolving, remember that Ku-I mean the Masked Royal's Gaogaen tanked moves from three fully evolved Pokémon and Nyaheat just evolved and learned Nitro Charge so there's no way it's getting a power boost as massive as that in an instant.
